First of all, the place is gorgeous. From the MOMENT you walk in, you feel welcomed and relaxed. Chill music, big windows with lots of natural light and all white furniture is so inviting. Lourdes is magnificent. She loves hearing stories. Listens attentively and puts you immediately at ease. You'll likely get a glass of wine with your service, which is always a plus. As far as the quality of the mani-pedi, Lourdes is a professional. This salon is Fantastic! The BEST french-tip acrylic nail job I've had done in a long time! My nails still looked great 2 weeks later even with outgrowth. The entire staff is professional and are very helpful! The salon is small but very clean. And best of all, their prices are fair for the quality of work they provide! This is a great salon! I did my research looked all around and found myself booking Lourdes for my wedding! I came here for a trial-style before the big day along with special-request makeup. on my big day I got the works....They surprised me with juice, champagne and a fruit and cheese platter which was a nice added touch. Everything from hair, nails, makeup and a spare of the moment underarm wax! was perfect and just what I requested! My french manicure-FABULOUS! lasted nearly 3 weeks and still looked great with regular at-home buffering. Although the salon is small (my bridal party of just 5 nearly took up the entire place) the staff was warm, friendly and knowledgeable. I give them added brownie points for having to rush near the end but never once did any of the staff get flustered or worried-they all kept their cool which help me stay relaxed and calm. I came to Lourdes in need of a manicure. I had no appointment but there was only one other customer getting a pedicure so they were able to take me as a walk in. The owner, who ended up doing my nails, later commented it is usually very busy and I was lucky they had an opening for me. After the treatment I received for a simple one color polish manicure I am highly doubtful that anyone would make an appointment for such a terrible, rude, and painful service. Here is what went wrong.... - She never asked how I would like my nails to be trimmed, just went ahead and began filing away. - While trimming my cuticles she got a little too over eager and snipped through my skin in multiple places. But not to worry she had her spray disinfectant on hand. This leads me to believe I am not the first or the last customer to bleed more than a little at her table. Of course she said that she did not do it, that my fingers were like that from before!? -The Essie polish that I had selected was quite thick. After applying the first layer she pointed this out. Instead of asking me if I wanted to switch to a newer bottle/color (like most experienced nail technicians would advise) she proceeded to struggle through painting the second coat. This was proving very difficult for her so she decided not to finish the second layer on three of my nails. When I asked her to please paint the final layer on my three nails she gave me an exasperated look, as if I was asking too much of her! -Because the polish she insisted on using was too old and thick I was instructed not to touch anything to let them dry for an unrealistic extended period of time.-Lastly, this what should have been quick manicure took almost an hour (not including time to let my nails dry after) to complete.
