I come here on a consistent basis for pedicures and gel manicures. They are very clean and the water is a very good temperature for pedicures. It is very relaxing and I always call just before I head there and have never had to wait. They have plenty of options of colors and the staff is very friendly. I am very picky about nail salons and refuse to pay "premium" pricing which is another reason why I come here. I am taking off 1 star because the service is inconsistent depending on your technician. Absolutely love Violet Nails! Everyone I've had there is great, but Jenny and Kevin are excellent! I get a dip manicure and pedicure twice a month and it's my go to place. First time ever reviewing anything, which shows how disappointed I am. I’ve gone twice... once where the owner did my nails and the other was the other gentleman. First time I was the only person there.. not only would they not turn on the tv for me but when I asked if they serve wine (considering it’s displayed everywhere) the owner said no because they don’t have a license. No problem, right? Second time I went I walk in to see two women sipping on wine. Oh... I thought you needed a license for that? Then the man who did my nails had the biggest attitude from the moment I sat down. He would roll his eyes at anything I’d say, and I was being as nice as possible. Not only did he have an attitude, but my nails weren’t done nicely.. as if he was in such a rush. The owner was just hanging out with his bare feet sitting on the couch (gross). I was a server for 8 Years and from what I remember, we get tipped based on good service, not a terrible attitude. This place is fantastic and relaxing. I have been coming here to get my nails done since they opened a little over 2 years ago. I have never had a bad experience and everyone there is so welcoming. I have also brought my 4 year old daughter and 5 year old niece to get mani and pedi which they loved so much. The stuff was very patient and nice with the girls. I get the SNS dip nails which are perfect for me because they last so long without getting messed up. I highly recommend this nail salon! Read Less

Got some dipping powder nails done with a glitter ombre. They look lovely. They took off the set I had done at a previous place that was growing out, and were horribly shaped, filed at odd angles to my nail bed. The staff did a wonderful job filing and shaping my nails to look properly square-round and even. Highly recommend. Read Less

Would give 0 if I could. Came for an acrylic fill with gel. My nails were shaped uneven, nails painted uneven, and after a few days the gel nail polish is chipping off. I’ve been to other places where the gel has lasted over a month. I would never come back here, it’s a waste of money. I’m going to ask for my money back UPDATE: I called the salon and explained my issue and was told if I came in with my receipt I would be refunded. However, when I arrived everyone pretended to... not speak English. They kept offering to redo the nails, but why would I want them to do a bad job all over again? They then started to ignore me while I was speaking to them and spoke amongst themselves in Spanish. The rudest and most unprofessional staff ever. I LOVE this place SOOOOO much!!!! I've been going here since they opened 2/3 years ago! Everyone is always very nice and they do an amazing job every single time, I've never been disappointed. They always offer you whatever drink you want, from Soda to Water to wine and I would spend hours relaxing in the pedicure chairs. It definitely gets busy but that's a good sign! First time here: came because Yelp reviews seemed off the charts and they did SNS (which I've been dying to try).  New to the area, so I'm currently "dating" many establishments at once... nail salons, pet groomers, hair dressers... you name it, I need it.Pros:They offer anything from water to wine.  I was driving, or else wine would have been it.  Also, very large selection of SNS.  Like huge.  Which made me feel comfortable in their ability to do said service.  Another pro, CLEAN.  I don't know why this has to be a pro (it should be standardized) but we all know those nasty places.  This is not one of them.Cons:  uh..... SNS??!  For someone who has been getting her nails done monthly for the past two decades, I would say out of ten stars, this gets a 2.  One star for having the color I wanted (#20 nude) and a second star for putting said color on my nails.  Now, this could be my problem bc first time with SNS (I am usually a gel lady) but I have heard rave reviews.  If you want rave reviews, please read no further.  And absolutely DO NOT look at the photos I am going to include.  It has been four hours and my nails still feel like they have mini oven mitts on them.  Thick!  So thick, my tape measure could document the size.  I didn't even have to get out a jewelry mm ruler... these digits straight up divisible by INCHES.  Not sure if this is how SNS is, but if so NO THANK YOU.Sloppy work on top of that.  I can't remember the names the the guys that did them, but they are on the receipt.  Also, I used the 20% off one service coupon from Yelp... when I went to do so, the lady came around and basically entered it into my phone and tried to hit "5 stars".  I was like, no I will review you later thanks.  Makes me wonder how many of these five star reviews were forced onto the unsuspecting client.Probably won't be back.  Not really convenient location-wise.  And these nails just have to go.  Don't tell my husband, but I am tempted to go on another "date" with a different salon tomorrow in efforts to make my hands feel back to normal. So I was visiting the St Pete area and desperately needed a pedicure. I found this place had good ratings on Yelp so I decided to give them a try. I'm so glad I did. Jessica (?) did an awesome job on my pedicure. I also got waxing done by Kim and she did a great job and didn't rush. I had made an appointment the day before via Facebook. I had a great first time experience at Violet Nails & Spa. Until I decided to try at Violet Nails & Spa. I felt happy by friendly staff I've never had from nail salons else I walked in. Unlike many nail technicians, staff here was do worked very hard and patiently. When I have ask for they always willing to helps. They listening to what I want. That's very racticous! Phenomenal nail salon! Great prices! Dino did my fill and Kevin did pedicure. Everything is state of the art, They are fast and probably the busiest nail salon in the whole region!! Very good for men and women. Prices are unbelievable, my fill for pink and Whit was $17. Try to get an appointment but they are also so fast it not bad even when you see several waiting. I have recently gotten my nails done here and both times I have been VERY impressed and have left happy. Nancy does a great job with a manicure and makes sure you leave happy. I get the SNS Powder and it makes my nails grow and stay healthy. She does such a great job that I don't have to go back after a couple of weeks like I normally do.
