I went to Sage in a hair emergency. Another hair dresser I previously saw fried my hair off with bleach and there were spots and lines everywhere. And I never dyed my hair before! I lost so much hair and thought it couldn’t be fix. Stacy helped me achieve the look I was going for and it came out even better than imagined!! I have taken myself and my kids to this salon for haircuts numerous times and have never left with a haircut we weren't happy with. I booked a last minute appointment for both of my kids with our usual provider, because we have an important event this weekend. Upon arriving at the salon was told another stylist, Kiki, would be cutting the kids hair. DO NOT LET KIKI CUT YOUR HAIR!!!!!!!!!! After telling her what I was looking for (a simple trim to my little boys hair) she proc...eeded to do nothing that I asked. We left with a huge chunk of hair missing from the back top of his head because “the only way to fix his cowlick was to chop it off entirely” after I verbally said to her 3 times DO NOT CUT THAT OFF like that. She never wet his hair, and cut it dry (who does that?) she didn’t use a comb to ensure things were even, her hands were shaking the entire time, and instead of looking at the flow of his hair and doing what I asked her to do, she chops off a chunk of his hair stating that would fix it and I could spike his hair “and stuff” (again, not how I said I styled his hair). Essentially it looks like he has a buzz cut on the back top part of his head and long pieces towards the front, which are haphazardly cut at various lengths. I couldn’t let her finish because every trim of the scissors made me cringe. She legitimately has no idea what she’s doing and I’m still contemplating how she has held a job as a hairdresser. She claims he was “fussy” – which I can agree he was at times - But that is not the reason he ended up with a haircut that looks like someone did it with their eyes shut. We were apologetically told we would not be charged for this haircut, of course, because it was BAD. SO disappointed by this, since the convenience of the salon location and previous positive experiences are now void. Luckily hair grows, but you can’t teach someone who has been doing hair “for a long time” how to be a stylist if they don’t know how to perform the most simple of haircuts by now.
