I was very disappointed when I left this nail salon. I was visiting from out of town and had high hopes because of all the great reviews that they had. When I walked in everyone was super friendly. From the beginning, however, there was one man (who was the one to do my nails) already talking me up to spend more money during my visit. I asked if they could do coffin nails and they assured me they could. The woman, who I’m assuming owned the salon, even showed me pictures of the some she’s done in the past. I’ve been getting acrylics done for 6+ years and these were the WORST nails I’ve ever walked out of a salon with. I could tell that the woman who owned the salon was not happy about them either. Even the other employees were coming over to look at them while he was finishing up. I was also upset because I couldn’t find a price list for their services and they ended up charging me $40 for a full set (with the price reduction they gave me for their poor work). The only reason I’m giving them 2 stars instead of 1 is because she assured me that if I came back she would fix them once they grew out some. I was going to come back in to see if she could fix them but my nails were so sore and still bleeding at my cuticles from the day before. I just left the shop.... GABBY WAS MORE THAN AMAZING! I'm a tomboy so I don't know much about nails, but she told me what she told me every step that she was doing, and told me how it helps my nails , she helped me pick out a wonderful color. She kept everything upfront and real. No surprises! I loved her! She is beyond great customer service!!!! This will definitely be my new one and only nail spot from now on!!!!!!! Found my new nail place. The staff is incredibly friendly and professional. Gabby, my nail tech, was fun to talk to and is VERY skilled. My manicure looks wonderful, and I can’t wait to treat myself again for a different service like a facial. The atmosphere is relaxing but fun. i have mixed feelings about this place and i will probably not go back, as i've had better work done at other places. I came yesterday after work as I work a few blocks away for a regular pedicure and a gel manicure.  the staff is friendly and personable but i didn't have the best job done.  One of my nails got a slight chip after i left and the pedicure just looks ok, not great but not horrible.  The nail tech did not use enough coats on my finger nails and i got a light color and she did not trim my cuticles thoroughly.  i've been here a couple of other times and the other techs did a good job but this time was mediocre.  I usually go to a nail spa by my house (I live in Tampa) but did not have enough time to make it there during the week between me getting off work and them closing.  Lesson learned, I'll keep my old nail job on and wait until I can go my regular spot during the weekend. I read great reviews about Dee & they are true! To my content, he is not only gentle (I have very sensitive hands) but makes great conversation and really gives you an enjoyable experience. I've been here twice recently and have really mixed feelings about it. First visit was fantastic. I went in for a mani/pedi without an appointment and didn't have to wait at all. The pedicure was great. I got one with a scrub and hot stones and it was really nice. I planned on a manicure with regular nail polish but they convinced me to get the gel and I was really happy that I did. Second visit I went in with high hopes since my last visit was so great, but sadly I was really disappointed. They had a few customers and the girl that did my nails last time was busy, so I had someone new. I just went for the gel nails (no pedicure this time) and I felt like he was really rushed to get done. Several nails ended up with bubbles and all of the nails on my left hand are not smooth. The amount of nail polish applied isn't even across the nail so there's a crease and it bubbles on the ends. I haven't decided if I'll give them another chance or not. Read Less

Hi end spa pedicure at a salon price. I have had inexpensive pedicures and hi end spa pedicures. This is by far my favorite.  Wonderful massage. So I'm incredibly critical when it comes to getting my nails done. I came in today and got a mani/pedi per my friend's request (she got a galactic nail color design done that I loved and wanted to get) and I've never been more pleased. I ALWAYS get acrylics, as I'm a nail biter, and decided today to simply get a manicure instead. I'm bothered when my nails aren't painted down to the underneath side, like the very tips, and they nailed it. I also hate when they cut my actual nails to a square shape and that leaves the corners pointed. Not today! They were perfect, not sharp at all. I have not one single complaint. Avoid this place. I do not know how this place. Good reviews. If I can upload pictures of my nails from 4 days ago you wouldn't go near this place. The lady kept blaming me tearing the cheap tips they use. Apparently, I have very strong hands. She got acrylic all over my cuticles. She made it so sick of that there were bubbles in the acrylic and they're crooked. She also dug deep ridges in my nails and the acrylic that you can see period they're horrible and I can't wait to get them redone somewhere else. Read Less

I called Joyful nails to make an appointment yesterday (Friday) and from the moment they answered the phone I could see how kind and professional they were. I came in around 6 pm and was greeted warmly right away. My acrylics were very grown out and Kim made sure to take her time so that they were beautifully thin and the shape that I was looking for. On top of the gorgeous work she did, she was incredibly friendly and sweet. I have recently moved to Saint Petersburg from New York and I am elated to have found my new nail salon  I will recommend Joyful nails to anyone looking for manicure perfection in an awesome and friendly environment.
