We visit St. Augustine Beach often and decided on Lily’s based on the great reviews. As many reviews mentioned, it pays to make an appointment. We called the day before and easily got an appointment for the next day. Ask for Anthony! He is very professional and skilled. Lily is also very good. However, if you have thin skin, you might want to request someone else. Her communication can come across as harsh. She’s running a tight ship. We will definitely come back next time we’re in town. As mentioned in other reviews, the shop owner was often rude, but mostly uptight and controlling. Once she calms down, she seems like a decent person. The other staff are very nice and skilled as technicians. My husband and I had great experiences with our pedicures. I also got a good manicure. I came here on vacation and was looking for a relaxing experience. I arrived 30 min early to my appointment and was rushed through the session anyway. The nail tech was extremely rude, critiquing my nails in an unprofessional manner and voicing her frustration with the length of my session/ that there was an appointment scheduled immediately after me (even though that was unrealistic as I arrived so early). She had no interest in performing any of the designs I presented to her and pushed her own opinions way too hard. She was extremely rough with my hands, filing my nails down to stubs and then didn't even bother to wipe away the polish that was left on my skin. I had to ask her to clean up the cuticles and fingertips, to which she argued that "she couldn't take it off-it's gel... but it would wash off with water". This does not make ANY sense. She didn't finish with a top coat and therefore my nails only lasted 2 days before chipping. The polish overall did not last a week. She had the audacity to demand a tip when I went to pay and took "too long" to do so. I had no intention of NOT tipping her, but she certainly wasn't getting 20%; It was Christmas weekend, so I tipped her anyway but I feel that it was undeserved. This is clearly a family run business and I felt the atmosphere was extremely unprofessional, with kids running around and lots of gossipy discussion between techs. Worst experience yet. Read Less

Came here with a bridal party day before a wedding. We booked for approx 10 people ahead of time and they were very accommodating. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that it did feel a bit chaotic; during the middle of my pedicure the man taking care of me swapped out with another nail tech, and my manicure was rushed through to the point that they skipped the lotion/massage part of the manicure. The employees definitely made it known that our large group was stressing them out. That is the trade off of coming with a big group I suppose. The salon was very clean, lots of polish choices. Was in search of a nail salon midway through our week's vacation on a Wednesday. Tried walking into several places but was a very long wait. Tried calling several including Lily's. I must have misunderstood the lady at Lily's when she said there was a wait. Then, they called me back and told us to come right over. Well, I got the BEST gel French manicure and a regular pedicure. I have been here twice.They were able to fit me in right before Thanksgiving. I came in to get a fill with gel and reshape my nails to almond. My sister and her friend went in to get gel and pedicures. The fill was pretty good and the shape of the nails was good. It was performed by the daughter's fiance or husband. I do not recollect his name. Issues: (1) He made the nails too thin (five of them broke within a week with the tips cracking off because they were too thin). (2) The gel was not done properly. His cohort recommended that he do one nail at a time because the color I choose clops into the sides or is distributed unevenly on the nails if not dried immediately. He decided not to do this. One of the nails chipped within two days. I went back to get it fixed a few days later. Instead of removing the paint from the whole nail, they just filed it down and painted over it. Needless to say, this was insufficient and it chipped the next day. They did not charge me for the first repair. I did not go back after it chipped again.PedicuresMy sister and her friend got pedicures at the same time and they were wonderful. They said they were the best massages ever. The pedicures were performed my the owner's husband and another young man. When I went back to get my nail fixed, I got a pedicure as well. It was performed by the daughter who looked like she might be a teenager. It was really bad. She didn't perform all of the things very well. Although, the finished paint job did look nice. Best pedicure ever! The sugar scrub they use makes the skin baby-angel soft. My manicure/pedicure look great and my hands and feet are so smooth. I am incredibly happy with their service and will be back again next I'm in saint Augustine! Read Less

So all of the men who work here do a GREAT job, just not the woman. She seems rude, is rough, and rushes through your manicure. Joanne is talented,swift and clean shop. aI get a new process/technology called ANC.   My nails last and shine.  Best is that it is NOT acrylic or gel. The first damages the nail and the latter degrades after 10 days.  ANC is the best I've ever had.  Wow!! No harsh chemicals, no rough filing, no UV light (yippee), no drying time (super big yippee), no damage to the nail bed (health and safety - get's biggest yip).  This is the latest product AND IT IS GREEN!! Gotta love that, too.I have a hard, shiny and longer lasting nail color. To me that is a lot better value for my $$.Lily's at St Augustine Beaches is the place to go!! Read Less

Found this place on Yelp. Run by a guy from northern Vietnam ("Tim") who came to St. Augustine Beach from Atlanta for a "more laid back" lifestyle. Just got a polish change on my feet. Tim was very meticulous, spent more than half an hour, and used OPI products. My toes look fine, although frankly I don't know how one could screw up a polish change. Was charged all of $8 which made me about fall off my chair. Would be double that in the DC area, at least. Haven't had such an inexpensive nail job since Mexico. Went to Lily's Nails on recommendation of a local.  Needed a french mani and pedi done for a wedding.  I made an appointment, arrived a little early and was taken right away.  Salon is roomy and very clean.  Service was wonderful - my technician took his time and was very detail oriented.  My nails came out great!  I would make this a regular nail salon if I lived in the area. I had been on vacation and away from home (and, thus, my regular nail salon) for about 2 and 1/2 weeks by the time I was hanging in St. Augustine. And my nails were RAG-ged!Lily's is my mom's local, so when I said I need to have my set of gels refilled, she immediately made me an appt. here.The salon is spacious, clean, bright and blissfully comfortable (I find many FL establishments have their AC cranked waaay too high for me). The staff is professional, just the right amount to chattiness (without the faux-interest).I had a "spa pedicure", as well, which was great.Dare I say, they did a better job than my place at home?! Gasp! It's true: well-shaped, nice and thin, with a beautiful paint job. And quick. The pedi and gel fill in about an hour, 15 minutes. That's in-the-door to done-drying. Superb!
