Worst gel manicure I've ever had. I went here on a Saturday morning for a gel manicure. They were pretty busy but were able to squeeze me in right away. The technician was nice enough but halfway through I could see him get distracted by the new customers coming in..seriously, I think I could see the dollar signs in his eyes. He rushed to finish, neglecting to even check his work thoroughly . I left there with my fingers dry and irritated from where he rushed to finish, not taking care to be gentle. He didn't even add any lotions or moisturizers to finish up. I don't know about you, but I've never gotten a manicure where this wasn't done...especially a $30 one. You can see from the pictures that the nail painting is sloppy and my nails aren't even nicely filed. Terrible experience. I won't be going back. I had a good experience about a month ago when I went in for a manicure with my Mom. Steven was the technician who helped me that time. He not only did an awesome job on my nails but his customer service skills were excellent. Therefore, I went back today for a manicure and pedicure. My experience was completely different unfortunately. The pedicure technician was nice but inattentive. She left me several times throughout the process, making it take longer than needed. She also did not apologize when she hurt me while trimming my nails. The manicure technician was unprofessional, loud, and rude from the moment she greeted me. I felt like she was rushing me. She made comments about my nails throughout the process that were not good or helpful. I was quiet after each rude comment until I finally told her, "that's the reason why I am here," to which she replied, "You got me there." She may have been having a bad day - it was definitely busy and she mentioned they were short-staffed. I was patient though, waited my turn and am a paying customer. I even tipped after all of that because I know technicians work hard. However, I will not return for fear of having her do my nails again. That was my first and last time going there. My daughter and I got a pedicure and that was a terrible experience. They did not file our toe nails correctly, like no care at all. Our cuticles were not cut or at least pushed back. I felt like i was being rushed because there were other people coming in but if I paid $25 for a pedicure then it should be worth that but no it wasn't. Most of the time when I'm done with a manicure or pedicure, they would take me to the drying station but they did not do that I had to ask if they had one. Here today for a little pampering before the "after" Christmas party tonight. I generally do not get manicures because they don't last because of the constant hand washing that is done at my job and pretty much every where else. I went in just to get a standard pedicure @ $25. Instead I chose the deluxe for only $5 more. I'm glad I did because it felt sooo good! My pedicurist was Loi, who was very professional and proficient at his job.  The deluxe includes a variety of lotions, scrubs and hot stones that were massage into my tired lower legs and feet. Totally worth the $5 upgrade!They offered me something to drink upon sitting in the pedicure chair, that is equipped with a built in massage. Most of the nail places have this. The establishment was very clean, they use sterile individual sets of clippers and cuticle pushers.  They offer a variety of services including facials, which most nail places do not offer.If your in the World Golf area you definitely need to give this place a try! This spa nail salon is AWESOME!  Steven goes above and beyond to make you happy!  We moved here just recently, spent 5 weeks on the road before moving into our new home, have been unboxing a million items in big boxes, and my nails were a mess!  Steven recommended the vitamin enriched S&S treatment but said he would do acrylic if I wanted.  He noticed my nails were very sore and thin.  My S&S nails feel better already!  Steven really cares and offers healthy suggestions for you nails!  I saw only one negative comment on this whole page and would suggest you ignore it!  Everyone else loves Happy Nails!  Me included!  Steven really goes all out for each customer! I really wanted to like this place as I drive way to far to get a pedicure done....On a positive note and why I will give it 2 stars..the salon was clean and well maintained.  The bad side.. I just wanted a pedicure and was pushed into services that I really didn't have time for so paid for an experience that was done way to quickly.  But the worse part is I had to ask for my nail beds to be cleaned out..if I'm getting a pedicure I don't think I should point out that you need to clean under my nails.  The base coat wasn't drying quick enough so it was wiped off which has caused the nail polished to look textured  vs. smooth and shinny.  There was nail polish and clear coat on the sides of my toes which should have been cleaned off..I shouldn't have to use nail polish remover to get the extra off my toes because of a rush job. It's sad because this could have been my new nail salon..unfortunately I will not be returning. Read Less

This place is very bad and unprofessional!! I got s&s nail a week ago and the man started halfway down my nail and I feel like he did that on purpose!! I went in and showed them and they didn't offer a discount or even an apology!! Nothing when he knew they ripped me off!! A week later and my nails look horrible! I think everyone should be aware about their pedicure tools. According to the health department, each nail salon should be sterilizing their tools. I've caught them twice not sterilizing their tools. They bring the pedicure instruments out with their so called Sterelized instruments. I reached down and picked up the bag that should show when its been sterilized, because the colors will change on the package. I've have decided to call the Health Department. Its a health hazard!! PLEASE! LOOK AT THE PACKAGE THAT WILL SHOW WHEN IT'S BEEN STERILIZED. IF IT'S NOT, YOU'RE AT RISK FOR A LONG LIST OF THINGS...LIKE FUNGUS OR BACTERIAL INFECTIONS AND LOSS OF NAILS. Best customer service EVER! We were in town for my sisters 40th Birthday and Sunday night we decided that Family Mani/Pedicure's were a must do. They only problem was ever Nail Salon in St. Augustine was closed and the only one open closed in 45minutes. We called and asked if we arrived a quarter till 6pm if they could provide service for 5 people. Luckily they said YES! When we arrived we were created with smiling faces and pedi chairs ready to service us! The staff were super friendly and accommodating. They even squeezed in an eyebrow wax for me! We had a great time and truest appreciative of the excellent service they provide us. Not to mention the fact that we could be served Moscato during our pedi, was like the icing on top of my sisters Cake! Love this place! I get gel on my nails about every 2 weeks and they last at least 2 weeks if not more. Great service and quality! They are very attentive and always offer beverages to keep customers happy and enjoying their day off! Great Experience!  I had a formal event at the World Golf Village.  I had to come 4 hours early to drop off some items and I did not want to drive back home (45 minute drive) and come back again.  I found Happy Nail Bar just a few minutes from World Golf Village.  I had a pediicure. I choose the $45 package.  The nail technician was wonderful. I felt welcomed and everyone was so happy. I had also broke my nail to the point where I did not have enough nail to polish  when I got a gel polish 4 days prior. I asked if he could polish it now.  He said he could build up the nail.  He matched my existing polish perfectly and matched the length of my other nail. Read Less

This nail salon has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had! I originally went to get an acrylic gel set done and a pedicure. The man who serviced me was not only trying to up-sell me constantly (which made me keep second guessing what I wanted done) but he was complaining that I kept asking how much certain things would be and the reason I ask is because they will hit you with a crazy amount after everything is said and done( I have learned my lesson)! I expect a nice job to be done after paying $70! Not only were my toe nails not filed or the dead skin during my pedicure but my nails turned out horribly on both my hands and feet. The service I received was rushed and sloppy! I was upset when I left but I didn't say anything because I'm not a confrontational person. After going home that day I kept looking at them and realizing that what I had paid for was not the way they turned out to be! I called and they said I could come back in the next day to get them redone, which is what I did today. I got a different woman to redo my nails and everything was fine until she used the color I suggested but I realized that it was steaking and looked horrible. She got upset and started throwing things around, didn't finish my nails, and left me for another customer. Not only did she not finish my manicure but I never received my pedicure either. I told them that the customer service I was receiving was unacceptable and she was being rude and nasty for no reason except that she didn't want to have to redo my nails again for the fact that she didn't want to do her job properly! I informed them that I wanted my money back then if they couldn't do my nails correctly and they said they can't until tomorrow when the manager comes in. Tomorrow will be my third time going in which has taken 4 1/2 hours of my time all together with no positive results! I'm very frustrated and upset with this company and I don't recommend it to anyone! I wish I could post pictures on here for everyone to see how badly my nails came out, both times!! This shop is clean and efficient. Everyone who works here is very nice and professional. There are a few other nail shops in close proximity to this one. But this is the best by far! Nice music playing all the time, pedicure chairs are new, massaging chairs work wonders on your back. Most importantly, you are getting a great service for a great price. Read Less

I'm visiting town. They were able to fit me in pretty quickly considering I called ahead for a manicure with gel polish. Steven took care of me and had me out in 30 minutes. He talked me in to something called SNS for $35 since I'm trying to grow out my natural nails. It does feel strong and looks good far away although I'm not sure I like the speckled look the powder made up close. My only negative was I wanted a manicure. He seemed a little rushed. Generally that means hand soaking for softer skin, cuticle and lotion massage and I got none of that though he did offer a shoulder massage ^_~! All in all pretty great visit. Read Less

I love this place. Everyone is friendly and they do an amazing job. I especially love Loi (younger gentleman with glasses)--he always makes sure to make each nail perfect and is never rushed. I also love coming here in groups and bringing a bottle of something to sip on. Great night "out" with the girls. Do yourself a favor and leave whatever crap nail salon you're currently going to and treat yourself to the Happy Nails Bar experience. You won't be sorry. Read Less
