I moved here a year ago and tried out three different nail salons. I get pedicures every other week and like to go to the same place. This was the spa that I chose as the best in this area. I like the techs and the regular pedicure price is $25. You can get more detailed pedis for higher prices and I do that every so often. I also get my eyebrows waxed here. They do a good job. I called Luminous Nails on Tuesday (11/14/17) afternoon to make sure they did the services that I wanted. He said they did, I asked if I could make an appointment for 9AM Wed (11/15/17) - not specifying a person because I am not from the area and I had never been there - and he said that I could, I told him my name and he said, "See you tomorrow". I arrived at 9:00AM, told the person who first seemed interested who I was and that I had an appointment for 9AM. The woman said "We don't have you on our schedule" and totally went to the person who walked in after me. I asked her 'what about me' and she said that she had a 9:15AM appointment - in other words, she could not take me - as I looked around and saw several other people there and finally she told me I could go to a desk nearby to a man - Jason - who was on the phone. Everyone kept telling me 'he' made a mistake. Yes, he did but it was a pretty big one - you only get one chance to make a first impression. Jason got right off and started right in taking care of me. When I was going here I loved phoebe and Johanna both were very sweet and so awesome jobs but I just can't find myself coming back or giving my money to a company that lacks customer service and genuine kindness from the owner. I am disappointed with how rude and degrading they can be especially because it was my first cousin one of times going in. I asked a simple question which could have been yes or no but came back and heard about the owner speaking poorly about me. Called before driving over and asked if a walk in was alright, owner said yes and the wait might be 10 minutes. I end up waiting 35 minutes or so. He puts me with a guy that doesn't seem to know what he's doing. I show him pictures of the type of nails I want (ombré with glitter gel polish) and he says he can do it... but he can't. He wanted to just do full coats and told me the pictures I showed him aren't "real" and are "just for photos"... a woman next to him had to explain ombré to him. The color I chose for my nails was running low, which I was only told after 2 cures... the guy actually wanted me to accept my nails with clear tips and clear glitter (you could see my real nails underneath) just so he could be finished with me. I had to quick pick another nail color with larger glitter pieces to go on top of it. The more concentrated part of my ombré (on the tip of the nail) was so thick, goopy, and not blended at all... I left so dissatisfied and called to complain. The owner let me come in the next day and a woman fixed my nails as best as she could without completely taking them off (tips and acrylics). I will never EVER FOREVER COME TO THIS PLACE!!! Two owners who came from" Cali" husband and his wife are very RUDE. Instead of doing their job they love to brag about their perso life who goes where, who gets a vacation in the meantime HELLO! I waited 3 hours dipping my nails finally I got up and left. I went in on a Sunday, I was the second of 10 walk ins and didn't even get acknowledged after being seated for a pedicure until a half hour later. I was told the girl that was assigned to work on me was late and when she arrived strolled by me 8 times even though I told the owner I got there early because I had an appt. I walked out and told the owner that nobody ever worked on me. She was unapologetic and just said yeah she's the only one that can do NexGen on your hands later. ??? I should have known what I was in for when I was seated for a pedicure the tech that was working on another person and got my water started tossed a tablet for the water into my basin from a few feet away as if she was playing wastebasket bball. You cannot make this shit up. I guess it was too much to come place it in?! I was stunned.The entire staff looks unprofessional, everyone got there late and dragging their feet. The owner is rude and unprofessional. It's sad, the girls do a good job, but the utter disrespect of the owner makes the experience intolerable. Due to the way he speaks to people, I will not return or support his business, I hope you'll do the same to save yourself from his humiliation and degrade. It was horrific! We walked in and signed in for manicure/pedicure. We were told wait was hour so said okay we would go next door to get something to eat and be right back. The snotty female who acted as if was in charge started telling us she would not hold the spot and would take the next walkin. We said we are not asking you to hold our spot . She had a horrible attitude . It's apparent she hates her job so why is she working there?.. where are the owners of this place. We left and went elsewhere. The experience itself was nice. Very nice nail salon. They are however very busy which always concerns me because I feel like they attention to detail is over looked. I was very unhappy with my nails AND my eyebrows and i specifically asked for what I liked and was informed that wasn't the right way. Highly upset with my eyebrows as they are UNEVEN! The is clearly visible that it uneven also. My nails as well. None shaped the the same, when I stated I didn't like them thick she claimed they had to be "thick" .. I am visiting from New York and needed a gel manicure and pedicure.  I chose Luminous nails based on the yelp reviews.  I made an appointment and there was no wait when I got there.  The salon is spacious and pretty.  I really enjoyed the wine during my manicure/pedicure!But, the best part of the experience was Cynthia, who did both my manicure and pedicure.  First she helped me pick a color because I wanted the color I had on but they didn't carry that brand.  She helped me find an OPI brand that was almost an exact match.She was sweet and friendly and did the best manicure and pedicure I have ever had.I frequently travel to Florida and this will be my new go to place.  Thank you, Cynthia! Very nice place and super friendly staff. My sister, grandma, and I went today for manis/pedis. My sister and I got SNS/healthy nails and my grandma got regular polish. The owner did my nails and did a great job, very efficient; Hope did my grandma's nails and was really really wonderful with her, even took the time to touch them up when she smudged it a few times. Got a full set of Nexgen nails which I was super happy that they carry it, as well as the bioseaweed gel's! I wouldn't suggest going in the evening as it gets super crazy busy and the strong acetone smell fills the facility. My husband couldn't do a pedicure with me because the smell bothered him, fine. Everyone was pretty friendly, some of the nails on my hand were put on pretty crooked because of the rush so I just filed them best I could to straighten them out. I took my boyfriend's mom here for mani-pedis. We were there quite a while, because even with an appointment, they weren't really ready for me. That's okay, I just soaked longer, but it did mean that she had to wait about 15-20 minutes for me after she was done. We had the middle pedicure on the menu. I can't remember the name, but it has a mask and a scrub and lotion. My tech, Angela, was amazing. She is young but really knows what she's doing. They didn't offer it to us right away, but they offer beverages while you're there. I think they have wine, water, and coffees. They even mentioned frappuccinos.  I passed, because I had an iced tea with me. This is a clean, well decorated nail salon and I would definitely go back when I am in the area. Read Less

It my first time here and my opinion changes with each subsequent visit. I received a Healthy Nail Polish Change and a Deluxe Pedicure today. My nail tech was an older oriental guy (not everyone in the spa is). He definitely was not a conversationalist. He was very standoffish. I asked to see the healthy nail colors and he bought me one ring of them. They have over 200 colors (I called the night before). I had to ask to see the other colors. When he finished my manicure, he just said "you're done." Most nail techs advise you to wash your hands, say something personable, and advise you of your payment. Nope. He just said "you're done." He didn't even say thank you for the tip that I left. My nails look okay, but he left a lot of the nail gunk on it. This is my thumb after two hand washed. Read Less
