My daughter gave me a $50 gift certificate for service at this salon. There were too many things that went wrong it would take more than the number of characters allowed to share. Trust me when I write the customer service was horrible. I left without completing an acrylic nail fill-in after receiving one of the most unpleasant pedicures I have ever gotten. I found out when I returned to my daughter's house, and discovered my granddaughter's experience with their customer service that day was as bad as mine. SAVE YOUR MONEY. This place is always over crowded. My last 2 visits sucked! I paid extra for the "deluxe" package & my girl was rushed because they were so busy. I paid $50 for a 20 minute, half ass pedicure. The atmosphere is clean and the staff are friendly. I will say the wait is a tad long without an appointment so if you're in a hurry I would call ahead. I’ve been going to this place for years, before the remodel and before the change in ownership. Before and after, the service, the attitudes, the cleanliness of this salon is amazing. I am always treated with respect and kindness and always happy with my nails. No matter what i get from pedicures to waxing to acrylics - they are always perfect. The bad reviews seem to focus a lot more on the language barriers than the fact they tried their best to help them be happy with their nails. I gave this salon 5 stars because it's met my expectations every time I visit. It's very clean, and and the pedi chairs are very comfortable. I don't have a favorite tech, because I've never been unsatisfied. I like that they hand you the menu, you point to what you want, and that part is done. My daughters love going there, too! My girlfriend took my daughter for a relaxing time and to get their nails done. The heavyset male ‘nail technician’ was working with my girlfriends nails. She showed a picture of what she wanted done and told him as well. He proceeded to cut her first nail way too short, nothing like the picture she showed him. She politely stopped him and he got visibly upset, angrily said something in his foreign language then walked away without saying anything to her making her wait over 10 minutes more for another person. She sat there completely embarrassed, upset and insulted. I called to ask for them to fix this by giving them good customer service. He walked up to her and said why did you have your boyfriend call? (Which she did not ask me to call.) The woman tech told my girlfriend that she didn’t tell the guy correctly. Another customer stepped in and told the employees giving my girlfriend a hard time that my girlfriend DID tell him, three times. Another tech completed my girlfriends nails. She was rushing and stabbed my girlfriend in her pinky finger with the file, cutting her finger. The fingernail on that pinky finger didn’t even cover the fingernail on the side underneath. I recently relocated to this area from Long Island. I went here because several people on my local "Nextdoor" site recommended Tony.  Said he was quick and really good...and that he is.  However, from the first trip there I was disappointed that there was no cuticle oil, no lotion put on the hands with a little massage and then a nice hot towel, no shoulder massage...just a command to go wash my hands and that was that.  I figured that this is what is done in FL and so I would really miss my NY salons...AND I paid more here than in NY for a lot less. Same with the pedicure...no massage on the feet just a bit of lotion rubbed into the leg.  On the third trip there I specifically asked for a white french gel manicure...no pink but he used the pink anyway and told me my nails would not look pink when he was done.  I didn't say anything and let him finish but as soon as he put the last coat of quick dry on he put my hands in the infra red machine (or whatever that is that burns your nailbeds).  I told him I didn't want that but he said leave them in there and walked away.  Again, no cuticle oil, no lotion and when I asked for some lotion he told me we don't do that.  This is supposed to be relaxing pamper time.  If you want "slam bam thank you maam" then by all means go here but not me.  Again, the end result was good quality, but not what I had asked for and he didn't even want to know about that.  My nails are pink.  I need a new place. I've been here twice. First time I took my daughter and 3 nieces here for pedicures. All 5 of our nails chipped the first day. I gave the place the benefit of the doubt and went back today for a pedicure and manicure, and my nails are chipping already. So annoying. Read Less

This was my first time at Venus. They did a good job on my nails, but when I took them off, I had fungus in one of my nails. I treated it with essential oils but it didn't go away for over a month. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place unless you want fungus. Read Less

don't go here!!!! They have been stealing people's money and have been writing in their own tip. Instead of a $50 bill they will charge $120 to your account. First time at this salon, wish I would have looked at the reviews first. Not only was it a painful experience, but it looks worse than if I would have tried to do it myself. WORST PLACE EVER!!!! I was visiting my parents and came with my mother in law. We came last year for my wedding and had a great experience. Not today. The woman who did my manicure was rough and rude. She asked me if I wanted to file or cut my nails. So, I told her to file them down. She left one nail long and I asked her to cut it to the same length as my other nails. She rudley replied "you should have told me when I asked to file or cut" Then she put oil on my nails and buffed my nails with the oil and barely filed my nails. I've never had anybody do that and my cousins own nail salons. When she painted my nails her hands were shaking and she was painting all over my nails and fingers. She kept saying because the nail polish was red she couldn't paint well and she would clean them. I get a manicure back home every 2 weeks and the woman who does mine never has to clean my nails because she is skilled at what she does. I tried to give her a chance and clean my nails, but she did a sloppy job. Parts of my nail wasn't painted, it was bubbled underneath and I had red nail polish all over my hands. I asked her to take the nail polish off because I didn't like it. She wasn't very nice about it and was complaining about it to other people in front of me. My manicure looked like a 5 yr old painted my nails. The guy next to her was nice enough to repaint my nails. I didn't appreciate the woman looking at me and speaking Vietnamese to the other nail techs laughing. This is an example of why my parents ask me to speak English around customers. The male that did my nails acted as if he did not want to be there,  he made it a point to say he didn't want to be doing my nails then rushed through a 40$ pedicure.  He argued with me about from the scrubbing of my feet and being rough and horrible to the color of polish I chose.  I just wanted to leave.  As the manger was yelling at him and attempting to give me a refund.  I just paid and left.  Horrible attitudes and worse was the finished product. The best mani pedi ever. It's a haul for me, and I STILL choose this place over any other. Super clean. It takes a little while to warm up (friendly wise). But it's not like the girls are rude... One of the most painful manicures I've ever had. The manicurist literally cut every one of my cuticles even when I told her to leave them alone making me bleed. She then would paint all around my nails making a huge mess and use her long sharp fingernails to scrap it off. At one point I yanked my hand away and told her I no longer wanted her to work on my manicures.When I came in I requested to get my manicure and pedicure done at the same time. The concierge girl first said yes, but then after speaking to the 4-5 (open) manicurist who were not busy at all, she had to remind as they literally shook their heads to doing my manicure.  Hiding behind "we can't do quality work while you are in the pedicure chair" excuse. I agreed but as I became aware they are able to do it, they just chose not to so they could go out to the Marshalls next door. I will never come back again, and I suggest you don't either. Read Less

I've given this place many chances. I have been here probably 8-10 times since they've opened. Although the my continuous efforts to want to like it I usually seem to have a bad experience. I had one male employee tell me my feet were bad and I needed to come back more often (I understand trying to get continuous business, but insulting me is not a way to get repeat customers). I had another employee try to get me to get my eye brows waxed while in for a mani and pedi by asking. "Want your eyebrows done? You NEED them!" Again insulting me. I'm new to the area and recently went for a mani-pedi and brow wax at Venus Nails.  Service was good and ambiance was relaxing, a bit pricey for what I'm used to, but I understand that every market is different and accepted the price bump.  So when a co-worker, who just recently arrived from overseas, asked about a place to get her legs waxed, quickly and without the need of an appointment, I suggested she checked out Venus Nails and Spa.  Its location and hour seemed convenient, and I since they are located in a mall setting, I knew they would probably take her as a walk-in patron.  My friend went for a leg wax at Venus.... prior to her waxing, she was shown the services menu, where it stated $50 and up for leg wax... She asked the esthetician what would her quote be, based on her hair type and leg condition, and was told $50, which is a very good competitive price for a full leg wax.  When the service was completed, the esthetician proceed to state that she was getting a 1st time customer discount of $15, so her total was only $85.  Confused, my friend asked what was meant by that, as she had been quoted $50------ That's when they explained that the quote was per leg!  My friend, not being one to make a scene, paid the bill, did not leave a tip, and will never set a leg (pun intended) in that establishment again.Riverside Spa charges only $70 for full leg wax---- and that includes BOTH legs!Shame on Venus for their "bait and switch" tactics, particularly when it was obvious that they were dealing with a foreign patron. I had a welcoming and pleasant experience from beginning to end.  Pam was very kind and friendly by greeting me at the door, giving me time to make up my mind on a color and have humor me with small chat while doing a great job on my gel manicure.  All the staff I encountered were lively and professional.  The atmosphere was very chic,  clean and relaxing. Also the music was appropriate level and a several  televisions to get entranced in during conversation lulls.  10% off as a student helps as well.  I will definitely be back here to give their pedicure and possibly eye brow threading services a try. I wouldn't have given it a star at all but I had to.  The experience started out okay everyone was nice and the place is really very clean.  However, when I decided to just do a regular spa Mani/pedi things changed.  The man stopped doing such a good job on my toes and continuously tried to upsell me. The more I said "no", the more he cut at my cuticles and hurt me.  At that point I was so uncomfortable I almost said no to the manicure but I didn't know how to walk out.  Then another woman proceeded to do my manicure, it looked great but even after sitting to dry 30 minutes, by the time I got home I had to take all the polish off because it was so tacky and ruined.  The menu said what I had done costs $35 but they tried to charge me $45.
