Went in for the first time on Tuesday and the salon is pretty, but the work on my nails was low quality. Chipped within a day actually and I paid for gel polish. Got it fixed by a lady who kept looking everywhere except at my nails. Filed my nails down and filed my cuticles which hurt like hell. Not going back. You can find better quality work somewhere else Score went down another star because now my index finger is chipping. I'm livid. I don't have time to go back to those people. Update: it's been a week and a half and more are chipping. All are lifting at cutical so I can't put my hands through my hair without them getting stuck in the lifted polish. After waiting for 45 minutes across the street at Lee nails I went to royal. Didn't regret it. All the staff remembered me from years ago and Kyle gave me the best gel french manicure I have ever had (I'm a critic)... got the hot stone pedi which was fantastic and seriously I have never had such a good french. My thumb nail had a bad crack but he glued it and used some stuff that fused it back together, you could never tell. The music was calming and the atmosphere was great, nice and clean. RACIST!!!RACIST!! RACIST!!!. So I made an appointment and when I got there the guy at the front said I had to wait 20 mins.. I simply said what's the point of making an appointment if I have to wait so long ?  That's it! Nothing more. I sat down and waited. Then I see this written on the card .. can you guess what it says ? (See pic attached because it's very hard to believe a "professional business would do this) the guy at the front who works weekends needs to be gone. Black B**** ... after bringing it to the managers attention he said it was because I had on a black shirt and Wanted a polish change ??? Yea right. I'm bi racial but that's besides the point. The nails they do are very below average.. trust me, there is better out there. I have seen them do very unsanitary practices also but since I never personally experienced that I decided to go even though I was never fully satisfied with my nails. Save your money and stay away from these racist people who talk about you in their language. I've seen them pointing, talking and laughing about the overweight clients they have. I have been trying so many different nail places and just still have not been 100% happy, until I came to Royal Nails ! It is beautiful inside, clean and everyone is friendly. My tech was Henry, he did an absolute amazing job on my nails, they look exactly how I want them to (which I haven’t found before) he was really well mannered and nice. This is a Great place to do your nails. The place is absolutely beautiful inside and it is clean. The managers are very helpful and the nail techs are very good. I have been going there since the day that they opened. I looked for years to find a good nail place in Ormond and Port Orange and finally I don't have to go anywhere else anymore.Read Less

Went there a few times trying to give it a chance. They always made my nails look nice, but the tech I kept getting was incredibly rude. I was always very nice, but like my nails a certain way. I loved it when Nick was there. But, recently had Henry. He never once looked at me or engaged in conversation. Made me feel like I was a "bother" to him, even tho I had left him a sizable tip (30%) previously. Asked for large "diamond" accents and got small. Will use this salon again...but will not use Henry. He is disrespectful and demeaning. Didnt say two words to me the whole time. Very poor at "customer service", Didnt say "thank you" or even "bye" when he was done. (This is not Gary.) She used old files and was rather rude when I asked about cleanliness. She watched TV while doing my pedicure and gave me a cut with the sanding board on my toe below my cuticle which bled quite a bit. She decided to clean out the water vents and pulled out some long dark hair, yuck! Both my toenails and fingernails needed some reshaping when I got home as they were off-kilter. The place is nice inside but they aren't good with young kids despite having the cute chairs. During the pedicures they did mine 1st and nobody came for her for like, 30 minutes and by this time she was losing patience for the whole thing although she still sat pretty nicely. I heard one lady say about how it was going to be too hard to do her nails because of her age (3). Mind you she's had 4 mani pedis thus far at other locations and never had a problem and her nails always... looked nice. The lady sloppily threw on the color and glitter. Didn't even get some glitter on some fingers. I also asked for a flower on her big toes which was disregarded. (She's had hearts before so it's possible). Some paint was Not even covering the entire toe nail. She got no top coat and of course when she was finished up she was so over it from the long wait that the paint was nicked up pretty quickly. 2 toes had almost no paint left on them and no offer to fix it. It was extremely exasperating even when it came to communicating what I wanted done with my nails... Which was just black with one silver nail. The language barrier seemed more heavy for some reason. The bill for me and my 3 year old... $75. When I expressed to the lady up front how I was unsatisfied with my daughters nails and toe nails because half the paint was mucked up or missing, as well as the wait time for her, she took $3 off of the $18 total for her which was steep in the first place to me. It was pretty disappointing. The lady up front finally offered to fix my daughters jacked up nail but at that point I has been there for like an hour and half if not longer and was just done with the whole experience.
