Last time I had my nails done I had a man my nails were cut to short squares even tho I said rounded my natural nails pedicure 1 1/2 months later a big toe fungus HORRIBLE never in 25 years a fungus I am sickened!!! I love this Salon! When I moved here I searched for a nail salon for months. I tried about 10 and then found Ava and never went anywhere else again! I love the selection of colors and how kind everyone is when you come into the Salon. It's very comfortable, clean, and professional! I get the Nex Gen nails and pedicures every few weeks! Had my nails done yesterday and it was horrible. He was super rough, he yanked my feet and hands around to reposition them, he cut my finger tips with the cuticle cutter and continued even after I said he was hurting me, he cut my finger with the sander tool, my nails were crooked and he filed them super short. He never offered me water, he rushed through everything like a drill sergeant. And top it off, the prices have gone up. I used to pay $52 for nexgen and a pedicure, now it's $60 + tip. I've been coming here for over 2 years and I'm sad to say things have gone downhill. The old Managers and staff (Peter, Anna, yuni, mary) were amazing and I wish they would come back. Went to this salon for the first time.  So convenient with parking in the Publix covered garage - it was raining so this was a big plus.  I was a walk-in without an appointment and couldn't have been treated nicer.  The salon is very bright and clean with plenty of nail techs.  People were friendly and I received a great manicure (dipping gel).   Prices are the norm. I normally like to give great reviews when one feels totally satisfied with the professionalism you deserve as a customer. I have to say that I was very disappointed and extremely dissatisfied with the service provided from this establishment Ava Nail Spa.I came in to get a gel refill at 5pm. A man by the name of Ben said it would be a few minutes. At approx 515pm I was seated by Chrissy who started to place aluminum wraps on all my fingers. Did not mention a word and stood up and started to work on next two customers back and forth. I waited about 20 minutes with this aluminum wrapped and I asked Chrissy how much longer to keep on my fingers since I started to feel burning sensation. After finishing up with one customer she proceeded to remove aluminum from my nails. She then went back to second customer to finish her nails. I was shocked..never have I gone to a nail salon to have someone work on three customers at the same time for 2 hours. Sadly I left at 7pm.Very Very dissatisfied .... Read Less

It is so hard to find a decent nail salon that actually does the right thing. Ava goes beyond those expectations. They employees are always very friendly and offer me something to drink. I have been to so many nail salons for nexgen, and many of those establishments do a horrible job and put a gel overlay as the top coat instead of the nexgen top coat... BUT NOT AVA! I would love to recommend Ana's Nail Salon because they do a wonderful job and the staff is very friendly and experienced. Peter and Ana both do a wonderful job with the Nex-gen nails. They come out perfect every time. The salon is beautiful and so conveniently located in the Publix shopping centre so you can get your nails done and then do your food shopping. Highly recommend. I had to wait 3 days to get an appt. was told they only had time for nexgen not acrylic. then the day of they called to try and have me reschedule for hours earlier when I work full time. I had a wonderful pedicure - the salon was very clean and the nail techs took their time and have a very long foot massage (who doesn't love that)! But, the manager did not honor the Yelp coupon $1 off for check-ins. He said it was not his nail salon. I didn't really fight it because it was only $1 but it was his salon - same name and address. I went in a week ago and got acrylics, and my eyebrows and lip done. I am so so so pleased with my eyebrows. She gave me exactly what I wanted and it's such a 180 from how they used to look. I'm disappointed because upon walking out I still had noticeable peach hair on my lip that wasn't gone. Whatever, not a biggie. Man created tweezers for a reason. The reason I rated 3 stars was because it's been exactly 7 days since I got my acrylics done. 2 days ago, 5 days since they were done, one of my nails began to lift. Today it fell off. $35 gone to waste. I won't go back here to get my nails done. The nextgen or whatever it's called takes forever and I wasn't impressed. It would've been faster to do it the regular way (trim, tips, acrylic, paint) but instead you have to dip each finger in 4 times, wait for them to dry, etc. I've never used nextgen, this was my first and last time,  and I've never had a nail fall off in 7 days. Thoroughly disappointed with the nail aspect. The saving grace of this review is my eyebrows. I have never been more pleased. So grateful for how kind the woman who did them was. She took into consideration of what I wanted and did that instead of doing what she thought was best. Overall the staff is amazing. I just wouldn't get my nails done here. Read Less

I was on a weekend trip with my daughter and her two friends we were trying to find a good nail salon. There are so many in the area.  We were just scolded from another nail salon "Top Nails" for not making an appointment they were so rude. I have to say from the moment I called Ava's the person that answered the phone was so nice.. He told me that they would stay late if necessary to get all four of us done. My nail technician was TERRY he was wonderful and funny. I received one of the best French polish's I have ever had. The 3 girls were all happy with their mani pedis. Ava Nail Salon is brand new. It's convenient location is in the same plaza as Publix and it has a parking garage. The salon offers a large number of manicure and pedicure tables. There is a wide variety of Opi and Essie polish and gel polish. The staff is very friendly; they offer bottled water or a glass of wine with your service.There is also a loyalty program, where after your tenth service you get $20 off.The nail technician, Kim, was very friendly and took her time. She made me feel like a valued client, and not a pair of hands or feet on an assembly line.The only reason I did not give the salon five stars is because the music was too loud and it was on a loop of late eighties and early nineties love ballads. I went to Ava Nail Spa to get a Pedi, it just opened in the Publix Shopping Center. The Salon is spacious, with several pedicure chairs and manicure stations. There are a lot of color options to choose from. There was only 1 other woman getting a pedicure in the entire salon so they took me right in with no wait I was shown to the pedicure chair. Everything is brand new and shiny, including the massage chairs. The lady who did my pedi was friendly and did an ok job on the final result, but the actual experience was nothing special and average. I wanted to relax and enjoy my pedi however the guy who apparently mans the front desk put on a Chinese show on the TV, it seemed like a Talent competition with lots of singing, all in Chinese (which I don't speak) and on full blast, he pulled up a chair to watch it along with another lady who also worked there. I really wanted to relax, but I couldn't get past the super loud TV which I couldn't even understand. To top things off, the lady doing my pedi was also watching the TV while doing my pedi, barely did exfoliating or massage which are of course my favorite part. Like I said, she was friendly and the end result turned out ok but the actual experience wasn't good, therefore my 2 star rating: Meh. I've experienced better. Read Less
