I love this nail salon and I'm so glad yelp directed me to it. My boyfriend's brother and I used to get mani pedis once in awhile but it had been about a year or two since our last one. He had a cruise to go on and it was time for me to get pampered. He's gotten a great mani pedi from Luanne and her sister (I'm sorry I didn't catch her name) and I've gotten the best pedi from Mike and my favorite new dip powder from James and B. If you want a design, Lyndi is your girl. They have hundreds (literally) of colors to choose from so there's something for everyone. The dip powder is much healthier for your nails and for a clumsy person like me, they last forever!!!! They never peel or chip and the only reason I get them done every 3 weeks is because my nails grow out quickly. I'm in love with my nails every time and my feet feel so smooth after Mike works on them with the callus remover.  So happy I found this salon! Read Less

Stop by this place to get a much needed pedicure while I was in the area.  The staff was very friendly, and they all speak English. For Pedicure, they offer from 5 options from Basic to one with all the works. Price is a bit expensive. If you like to get Paraffin, the pedicure will start at $40 or so.  The most expensive ~$57 they give you wine. Well, they should offer wine with all pedicures (just saying).  Chairs are comfortable with the usual settings. Been coming here for a year and will stop now...I give up. At first, the place was great; my nails looked good, dip lasted 3 weeks and I could get in an out in reasonable time. Over the last few months, things changed.  Quality dropped - my nails were breaking after 5-6 days (using dip). The wait times were also excessive. I voiced my concerns to the owner and he tried to rectify.  Problem is that they can't keep their appointments and you're lucky if you can leave the place in under 2 hours (for dip and pedi).   I walked out today after being told I had to wait 20 mins to get my nails done AFTER being there for an hour already getting a pedi (which was way too long and only okay)...and I HAD AN APPOINTMENT.  I am always very vocal about how much time I have and call ahead to make sure they can accommodate. Decided to come here after reading all the great reviews, and I was excited about getting a nice and relaxing pedicure. I have to say the this experience was very dissapointing. To begin, everyone who helped me was incredibly polite and nice to me throughout my time in the salon. Which was also pretty clean and sanitary. I received a pedicure from a larger woman which would normally not be of importance except that she looked quite disheveled. Her shirt was either unbuttoned or busted and did not close leaving her belly exposed through out my pedi. At one point my foot actually touched her bare stomach! This was by far the messiest pedicure I've ever received there was water everywhere. And when I was sitting at the dryer I realized the orange scrub was still on my legs and one of my toe nails was cut crooked! As if this wasn't enough, my polish was botched as well. Having to be cleaned up with a brush and polish remover. Looking at my feet now they look very dry and messy feeling like I should've stayed home and did the job myself.  I don't doubt this is a decent salon but I will definitely not be returning. I've had my nails done here twice using the dip powder. Overall the first experience was pleasant and my nails were done well.A few things that bothered me though -On both my first and second experience after finishing the dip powder, my fingers had excess powder (kind of little crusty bits) around the cuticle. The tech told me it would wash off in the shower but it looked messy and when I leave the nail salon I would like them to look finished, not slightly messy. I waited until I got home, showered and unfortunately this did not fix the problem, even after several days. On the second visit I knew that these little crusty remnants would bother me for the next few weeks if I didn't ask him to fix them. So after walking to my car, I turned around and came back to politely ask him to clean them up. I was very pleasant and patient. I work in customer service and I understand people can be difficult and didn't wish to come off this way. He huffed and sighed telling me that it would come off, but I knew it from the prior experience it wouldn't. He didn't have another customer waiting for him, I had considered that. He did fix my nails a bit but complained under his breath and threw things down heavily as he was working on them. Maybe he was having a bad day, I don't know. But this second experience made me really uncomfortable and I probably won't return here because of it. I had a polish change on my toes and the dip powder on my hands and tipped about 25% (before coming back in). I just wish he would have been kinder in handling my situation. Read Less

l got a manicure and polish change at this facility on Oct 9. The manicure was stick your hand in a bowl with 4 marbles in it. I seen manicures before and this was not it. My cuticle weren't cut he just took my hand out the bowl and started buffing my nails. I was unsatisfied with my service and my toes did not match. I requested a manager because I informed the tech the colors are not the same.   A so called discount of 10.00 was given. My nails were very lumpy and uneven. They're Jelly Pedicure is to die for. I go to Lindy and she's amazing. And as long as you request a design when making an appointment she can do just about anything which is fun. They're super clean and I absolutely recommend this place to all my friends. Read Less

Do not go to Mike! I paid $37, not including tip, for the worse pedicure I've ever had! He insisted I added treatments, so I chose the callus treatment and the paraffin wax. My feet still felt rough and they were very dry after the fact. The massage was horrible and the end result was sloppy bumpy polish. I had to have James, who I assumed was the manager, fix my nails including filing my big toe nail down with the Dremel before repainting. Needless to say I left very unhappy. Which was quite unfortunate because I was very excited to see the nail salon open so close to my son's daycare. Salon is extremely clean, very kind and professional staff, everyone speaks english, tons of colors to choose from and they honor their appointments on time!  Their basic pedicure includes hot towel and light massage and their massage chairs are awesome. I am semi in love...but the gap....ugh!  I do basic manicure and pedicure on my natural nails and strangely my polish stays in tact for an amazing 8 days!  My nailbeds are really oily so, that never happens when I do my nails elsewhere.  However, for some reason my tech leaves a huge gap between my cuticles and the polish edge.  Out the door my nails look 3 days old with a beautiful polish job.  On day 4 they look a week old beautiful polish still in tact. What the heck?!  Check out the pics for yourself it's day 1 and morning of day 4. I hate this gap! I found out about Ahava Nail Spa from my Supervisor after a less than satisfactory experience at another Nail Salon. My gel manicure starting lifting and coming off after TWO days so I definitely needed a new spot. Anyway, she recommended Ahava and told me about Dip (which is better than Gel) so I decided to check it out. I love my nails. The service was excellent and despite coming on a Friday evening, it didn't take very long for my Dip manicure and pedicure. I'm very pleased and I will be back! Read Less

I was excited to see a nail salon near me which such positive reviews...my nail tech was nice and took an hour on my toes. I took it as she was taking her time and they looked good, moving on to my nails I asked for coffin but ended up with more half of my nails barely coffin shaped and the rest square which she also took another hour to do. When I tried to say something she said "I know" and didn't fix it. I got regular polish but ended up paying 37 for the poorly done nails. I have been going here for 3 months and I get pedicure and the dip powder. If you want your nails on point Lyndi and James are the best! The dip powder is honestly the best thing for my nails. My nails are 100% mine no tips at all I just get the dip powder. I always have Lyndi do my nails and James does my friend's nails and we always walk out happy. this salon is xxxxtra clean, which means the world to me as I am a server and I know what to look for.  the owner Mike is amiable and accommodating. 1500 colors in nail polish- who does that? this place is a diamond in the rough,  you would never look for it there. pricing is reasonable, local norm and services are fantastic. any issues are addressed and fixed immediately.  very impressed with this new salon. (Which I don't know is a good or bad thing) However with this place being fairly new I understand. I loved how it was so clean and the stations were all spaces out. I was looking for a new salon and saw all the (deserved) 5-star reviews so decided to give it a try.  Three months later I can say with certainty that this is the best nail salon I've ever gone to--and after 35 years of acrylics, etc. that's saying a lot.  James and Lindy, the owners, have hired only the top professionals. It's spotless and every tech does a meticulous job.  Do yourself a favor and try Ahava. The word means love and you will love this salon! It was my first time going here. The decor is mediocre at best. TJ did my nails and feet. He did a good job but this place is EXTREMELY overpriced. $37 for coffin shaped full set, + $15 (FIFTEEN!!!) to use a gel polish... a fill would've been $31 + $15, I don't see myself paying that plus a pedicure every two weeks. I've paid these prices in Bal Harbor and it's understandable given location, but for a regular salon in Tamarac, it's not worth it. I will say that the pedicure was done like any other pedicure BUT it was NICE that they use freshly sterilized tools. The chair massage is nothing special. I love this place! I was introduced to this place by a coworker and now the majority of the girls in the office go here. Everyone is super friendly and always making you laugh. Was looking for a reputable place to get my nails done and chose Ahava based on the photos and reviews. My nail tech (James) did an amazing job. He was very meticulous and polite. I received a bottle of water upon arrival. I was offered help choosing a gel color right from the start. Once I chose my color, he automatically got the matching regular polish for my feet (which I was surprised with, because usually I have to search for a matching color myself at other nail salons, wasting time and energy).I loved the ambience, the shape of my nails, the neatness, etc. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure totaling $51.00. Decided to go there to get my nails done before I go into labor and I'm so happy that I did! From the time I walked in everyone was attentive and welcoming! Lyndi did a great job, I asked what was most durable and long lasting and she recommended me to try the nail dip powder, let's just say I'm in love! They are so shiny, and lightweight and neat and they have tons of colors to choose from! Lyndi was so nice and often joked and gave me advice on becoming a first time mother! WOW! What a great first Impression... Bestii and I booked appointments two days before hand and hoped for the best. To our surprise AHAVA was clean, spacious and welcoming. Lindy,Mike,James and Mya were all SOO friendly. Water and wine was served. they took us right away and were mindful that we had appointments which is a plus. They were kind and sat us together and we didn't feel rushed. The attention to detail with painting and sculpting was amazing! You know when you just... Know!?! I have been going to the same nail lady for over seven years now. So you can imagine my confusion and fear of trying someone and somewhere new. (My old lady no longer does nails)I've had many places bookmarked on yelp, and have even tried a few recently, but this place by far has been my favorite! It's definitely not "high-end or fancy" by any means, but it is clean, bright, and full a potential! I tried out Lyndi based on her presence on the yelp page, and she did NOT disappoint. Dare I say, I don't even think I'll miss my old lady! At first, I was a little sad I didn't see the new OPI collections- I love seeing those color displays of the seasonal OPI. After asking Lyndi, I discovered that the newer colors were elsewhere! I chose the "I can't read without my lipstick" from OPI's Breakfast at Tiffany's collection (funny that was my old ladies name! Haha). It's a perfect shade of deep red that I love. Lyndi was sweet, personable, and great to chat with. She definitely has great skill and pays attention to details- cuticles look fabulous and my polish job honestly couldn't be cleaner.
