I have always come here to do my nails. But, today I was here and have to got to a party. I asked for French nails at first they would not do it. Then they said yes. So, I sat down and asked for square nails.Lanie started  to cut my nails and said can you please just shape them with the file. Do yourself a favor and don't even try this place! I had read several glowing reviews and thought to give this place a shot. I called and made an appointment since nail places can get busy. I showed up a few minutes early for my appointment and the manager, I guess that's what he was told me it would be a few minutes. I said that was fine, no problem. My first impression of this man is that he was either irritated or angry, but I didn't read too much into it. I picked out a color, and was asked several times what my name was and if I had an appointment. Which I gave the info, I was told again to wait a couple minutes, which I was fine with, no big deal. The manager guy then clarifies that I am there for a mani pedi. I confirm, usually places ask you if you want to start with your mani first or pedi first. This manager didn't and motioned for me to go sit in one of the pedi chairs. I didn't like this, but I shrugged it off as no big deal. He opened the water, didn't ask if it was hot or cold, said something to one of the techs seated nearby and then walked to the back of the room. The tub filled up and then the tech came and shut off the water. The manager then walked past me several times, not once did he assure me that someone would be right with me, or that it would be a minute, or point out who I should expect would be with me. I waited for 5 minutes, and the water was now getting cold, the manager comes by and turns on the jets to the tub thing and again walks away, and doesn't say anything. At this point, I just didn't have a good vibe about staying and giving this place my business, so I got my feet out dried them off and walked out. No one came after me, or tried to stop me. I've been doing my nails for 13 years and this has been my favorite place. As soon as I walk in, I feel like I am at home. From the moment I walk in it's nothing, but pleasant conversation (granted it took some time to get there). The owners are a lovely couple and always willing to please. There have been days when I have gotten out of work late and the owners have still taken me. I've been coming here 2 years. Before I found this place, I was often frustrated by the rejection of the "popular," overpriced locations. The times I've gone to other places (i.e.:"Vietnan Nails") I leave with my nails not fully painted and a bill ranging from $60-95.00. I've recommended everyone here: my mom, boyfriend, law school classmates and everyone has left here happy.Not everything that glitters is gold, but don't let the simple setting fool you, this place is GOLDEN! This place is absolutely awful.  My wife went in to get a mani and pedi and they responded that it will be about a ten minute wait.  Fine. No big deal.  However, after twenty minutes, she decided that she didn't have time for a mani and just wanted the pedi.  They took her to the pedicure area and started the process; however, most nail salons will offer their customers a bottle of water while they are waiting.  This place did not.  About half way through the pedicure, my wife started to feel a little queasy and asked for a bottle of water.  Nothing happened.  She had to ask several additional times before an employee finally went and got her one.  She still was feeling faint and asked if she could lie down in the back for a few minutes.  The owner replied, "No.  There is no where to lie down.""What about the rooms I see back there?  Isn't there a bed in one of those room? I really need to lie down.""Those rooms do not have beds.  No where to lie down.""OK.  I will lie on the floor then.  I don't feel well and I need to rest for a few minutes until my husband comes back.""No.  Do not lie on floor. Floor is dirty. No where to lie down."She then got up out the pedicure chair and walked to the rooms in the back.  What was in each those rooms?  A bed.  The owner flat-out lied to one of her customers.  Why?  They didn't have any customers on any of those rooms.  One of your customers isn't feeing well and you purposefully don't accommodate her?I arrived a few minutes later and needed to pay for the pedicure.  I went to the cashier and asked if I could pay only $10 (half price) since they didn't finish the pedicure.  The cashier checked with the woman who did the pedicure and he came back and replied, "$18.  Didn't polish.""What?  Hold on.  You are charging me almost full price for a pedicure that you didn't complete?  That doesn't make any sense."At this point, I didn't want to argue because I just wanted to get out of there and my wife needed to get home and rest.  The other issue is that the employees do not speak English very well and it is sometimes hard to understand what they are saying.Needless to say, I do not recommend this nail salon and you will never see anyone in my family back in here ever again.
