DO NOT GET A MANICURE HERE. I went today because I was out running errands. I searched Yelp for a salon nearby and I picked Halo because the reviews seemed to be good. I got a Nexgen manicure and paid $35. That price is fair to me for a manicure. But they didn't give me a manicure. As soon as I sat down the nail technician started applying my Nexgen. Once the whole procedure was done she asked me to wash my hands. She put cuticle oil on my nail beds AND THAT WAS IT. Not once during the entire process did she push back my cuticles or trim my cuticles. What kind of manicure doesn't include cuticle maintenance? And she didn't give me a hand massage with lotion. I have never had a manicure in my life and not received a hand massage. $35 was complete rip off! And to top it off my nail technician didn't know how to file nails at all. I asked for rounded and she kept squaring them off. And when I spoke up she copped an attitude. I was super nice, it's just that if I'm paying for a service, I want to make sure I get what I want. Excellent. Reasonably priced. The salon is immaculate. The staff is friendly and professional. No personal cell phones are visible or being used. Music is appropriate to a spa setting. I'm an out of towner and went with a friend who lives in town. She received an excellent manicure from a newly licensed tech named Jason (?). My tech's name was "Nhung" or Donna in English. Her hand massage was heavenly. Both of our manicures have lasted 6 days with virtually no chipping. Regular manicure not gel!! I highly recommend. Going back for a pedicure. Read Less

Truly a disappointment. A friend and I went to get pedicures. She went in first and got her nails done and I was next door getting some waxing done. I entered, told them I needed a pedicure but that I could wait so we could get one together. They were still finishing her nails. I looked through a book that had $38 or $48 pedicure options. They included a lot and were worth the price but I was just wanting a basic pedicure. No long massage, paraffin wax, oils, gels, or... hot stone. My friend asked and they kept pushing the more expensive options. Saying "try this it's better". Finally they said fine and sat us down. The water was started and a technician started on my friend. We waited for a while but no one came to work on me. Two other people where doing other things in the salon. Moving towels, one kept walking back and forth and talking to a third technician that had just finished someone else's manicure. It felt very unprofessional and wrong how long they made us wait before starting. I couldn't believe how they stood around talking before they started on me. As soon as they finished my friend they started on me. They started a basic pedicure ame it took twice as long as my friends. It almost felt like it was on purpose. Have a little consistency. Beautiful nail salon!  This salon opened in the last 6 months and is so wonderful!  It is very clean and has a very soothing and spa-like atmosphere with new massage pedi chairs with attached iPads with wifi--great addition.  There are also flat screen tv's with my favorite station--HGTV tuned on with captions, so no competitions with the lovely spa music.The owner and the staff were very nice and did a great job with my pink and white fill and pedicure.My husband was with me, and he had his first pedi!He fell asleep in the chair.  We both felt so relaxed and pampered when we left.  I felt the prices are very reasonable.  We will be returning when we are back to Florida again. This brand new spot is absolutely fabulous!  The interior is beautifully designed and immaculate.  My technician Mia did a beautiful set of liquid gel nails and I was very happy with them.  They use LED light technology instead of UV and this made me so happy because it's much safer for your hands.  There are a huge variety of polish colors to choose from.  An added perk is that you can get your nails done and then pop over to Twisted Trunk for a couple of drinks to celebrate your fabulous new nails! Love this place.  I've been coming to West Palm Beach to visit family for at least 10 years, and it's been impossible to find a decent place for a reasonable pedicure.  As a comparison: Years ago I used to go to the Venetian, in Legacy Plaza, until I had one supremely gross experience.  The manicurist was a guy, who was clearly in a hurry to finish near closing time, so instead of finishing the manicure with 2 layers of polish and a top coat, he poured on one super thick layer of polish and told me it was time to leave.  The polish never dried solid, and then peeled off in a thick layer within a day.  I then, out of pure convenience, started going to Nail Bar / Pure Nails & Spa in the Gardens Mall.  It was just fine, but expensive (and I'm accustomed to getting high end manicures in NYC, so yes, expensive by even NYC standards.)  Because it is open late and must get a lot of business through mall foot traffic, they don't seem to feel the need to be polite or accommodating.  The final straw was when they insisted on charging me full adult pricing for my 10 year old niece's mani/pedi combo (check the website - it clearly states 10 and under for the "princess package." )  I saw Halo Nail Spa when driving by and I decided to give it a try.  My 10 year old niece and I were having a "special day" and I wanted to give her a treat.  It was a great choice.  The spa is relatively new, open since December of last year.  It was meticulously clean and the staff was smiling and friendly from the minute we walked in.  I scheduled a child's mani/pedi combo for my niece ($28).  Recognizing that we were having a girls' day, the staff asked me if she would want both the mani and pedi at the same time.  It was like a scene out of the Princess Diaries, with one person working on her hands and another on her feet.  Yes, decadent, but quite a giggle for a little girl. I wasn't planning to get any services, but they invited me to sit in one of their super fancy spa chairs while I waited.  This chair was several grades above the usual massage chair.  It was heated, had a sensing mode, during which it scans your body to find the right points, and even had a specific arm massage function.  There was also an iPad attached to the chair, so you could read the news or surf the web during your pedicure.  If only to justify sitting in the chair for another 30 minutes, I decided to get a pedicure.  After 30 minutes I had perfectly trimmed, buffed and french pedicured feet ($25; no upcharge for the french.  Super bargain).  When we were finished, even though it was closing time, they did not rush us out the door.  I didn't want to keep them past closing, but they stopped me before I tried to put on my shoes.  ("Not dry yet!")  Since I insisted on leaving, they let me walk out with the pedicure flip-flops on.    In summary: Great service, nice people, competitively priced. First of all, this salon is so beautiful inside. Goes above the usual salon decor of this nature--you can tell they put a lot of thought and care into it.They were accommodating with a same day appointment I made, and then even saw me earlier than I had asked for when my schedule changed.They have a great selection of gel manicure color options and brands, and I'm very happy with how my manicure turned out/lasted. I came here after going to another salon that did a poor job on my nails. They were extremely friendly. I saw Ambry and she was phenomenal. I always struggle to find someone that can do designs and her work is beautiful. The atmosphere is also one of the best I have ever experienced at a salon! Very professional and I highly recommend. Finally! I just moved to Singer Island and I have tried at least two nail salons. One was definitely off the list! Too pushy on the up sell and tried to use fake OPI product. Second salon I was pleased but they were inconsistent and don't always have the shellac polish to match the toes? Last polish didn't last at all.Mixed up my appointment switched operators between mani and pedi.  Enough about the others! I was greeted by Lee with a big smile. I told her I had an appointment at another salon and I wanted this one since it was so close to me .  I made a mistake because I could not remember the name of Halo.  No problem they could help me with my mani and pedi. Cancelled other salon.  I was so use to looking at shellac to match my toes at the old place. Lee said "We have everything to match" phew!  The decor is gorgeous and the pedi chairs are the best I have experienced. Several massage options with heat and this included your legs and arms. Ipad and free WiFi connected to the chair. Tony did an amazing job on my toes and fingers. He was very detailed and gave me a superior mani pedi compared to even my favorite salon back in Boynton Beach. Go here. I used to LOVE this place, as I had been there a few times before. However, I went on Saturday morning to get acrylics (french tip) for my bridal portraits the next day and my wedding the next Sunday. Well, they cut my ring finger and made it bleed, but I let that go. I noticed that evening that some of the nails were already starting to lift up (i hadn't even showered or washed any dishes, so this wasn't from water). About 20 min before I had to leave for my bridal portrait...s my pinky nail popped off. So I went in and showed the owner and showed her all the other places that my nails were lifting up. I asked for a refund because I didn't have time to get them fixed and, quite frankly, did want to risk them messing my nails up for my wedding again. The owner told me that they don't do refunds (but there's no sign posted) and kept telling my nails looked fine. I left without a refund and me and the 12 women who were planning to go there for pedicures on Friday will not be going. As of today - 48 hours after getting my nails done - all but one of my nails has popped off. This is completely unacceptable and a complete waste of time and money. So now I have to go to another salon and have them do my nails and pay for it a second time. If you're getting your nails done for an important occasion, I'd seriously reconsider using this salon. Prince did my nails (gel manicure) and was very nice, we had a good conversation and he did a great job! The owner came over at the end to make sure all was well and asked me about my experience.
