Horrible job. Rude owner! Not recommended. My nailpolish got chipped while my toe nails were drying and when I brought it to the nail tech's attention, he rudely accused me of messing it up and saying the $15 wasn't worth the trouble of re-touching. Will never go there again. Read Less

This place is actually really nice. Everything is clean and the technicians are very professional. It's not super fancy but the prices are fair (pedis for $20 and Mani/pedis for $30). I usually don't do anything fancy, but my nails always look clean, fresh, and beautiful. The nail job not great. I got gel nails but they did so many coats that it just looks like a lump of nail polish on my fingers, just way too thick.  I gave it one star though because when I first walked in I asked how much it was for a gel manicure (the flyer with their prices was extremely vague), they told me 25 and with a student discount it would be 24. The other lady told my friend hers would be 25 but 20 with a student discount. When I went to check out a different person rang me up and told me it was 25, I asked for a student discount and she told me it was 30, but 25 after the student discount. I wouldn't recommend going here. Three different employees told us three different prices for the same service, and yelled at each other about it in another language while I was trying to check out. I typically go to relax nails but this place was closer to my house and that's why I tried it. Definitely won't be returning. Read Less

Absolute worst nail experience, ever! I've had acrylics for several years and just took them off about four months ago. I explained this to the nail tech, and told her how thin my nails were and that I'd been working on growing them out since removing the acrylics. The first thing she grabbed was a DRILL! I had to tell her no, then she grabbed a buffer, but not a mild white one, the rough black one, used on acrylic nails and aggressively buffed across the tops of my nails. Then she filed and attempted to shape them, but again, she was using a rough file that was not meant for natural nails (especially fragile thin ones). I asked for gel polish to help prevent breakage, so she proceeded to coat them in oil, and then buffed them AGAIN with the rough buffer! My nails are completely ruined now, they are paper thin from all the buffing, and I had to cut several of them all the way down. What has taken me four months of care and nail treatments, she ruined in about 15 minutes. Now I have to start all over again. I am mostly angry at myself for not walking out of there the second she tried to drill my nails after I told her how thin and fragile they were. Again, the absolute WORST nail salon ever. If you have natural nails, stay far far away from this salon. They have no idea what they are doing! Read Less

Just recently was sold to a new owner,  which it needed. The new owner has painted and done some great changes. Has a new look!! They still offer a complimentary bottle of water and my gel nails came out great!!!!!!My biggest pet peeve with all nail places is make sure when there is time to lean there is time to clean. Nail sections should never look dusty. Equipment should be santized after every guest. As long as the new manager keeps this going it will do great. They have a very poor nail polish selection. I went in for a refill, the lady kept being too rough. They are all uneven lengths, you can see the line for where she filled in, it has been an hour and my nail polish is already coming off. The lady kept stopping to answer and talk on her phone. Besides how disgusting the place was. The fish tank was almost black, they don't properly clean their pedicure tubs and the back rooms reek. Read Less

2/16/13 - Monica did my white tips...not enough glue and I have gaps betweem my own nail and the acrylics. She told me if they pop off she'd take them off and fix them for free. Last time I had this issue, in Virginia, all the moisture build up grew mold between my nails. She talked negatively about her job, the kind of stuff you shouldn't tell your clients.I went back on 3/2 and then again 3/19. My friend only get her nails done by Linda. Now I know why! She is amazing and fast! Monica took over an hour to do my nails. Linda is done in 30 minutes! She is fast and does a flawles job! I had pink and white nails done. So much better than the white tips. I prefer pink/white nails now.They look more natural and feel natural too. Linda is so sweet and chats a bit, she remembers her clients too. She asked me about my boyfriend was doing and that my friend and her mom had been in to see her the night before. This place is a bit out of the way for me, but I will drive that 30 minutes just for Ms. Linda to do my nails :). Read Less

I went to Varsity Nails yesterday and the experience was horrible. When I got there it was very slow but once people started coming in, the people started to rush with the pedicure. Looking closely at the nail polish job, I could've done better because she left nail polish still on my last two toes. When I said I wanted a manicure, the lady looked pissed and also rushed through it. My finger got cut twice when she was cutting my cuticles. Again the nail polish job was sloppy. I am giving Varsity Nails a 2 because the lady who greeted us was super nice and gave refreshments out, which I never experienced. Overall, I won't be coming back to this nail salon! Read Less

I am very impressed with Varsity Nails!! Even though they close at 8, I walked in at 8:15 and they did not turn me away! They welcomed my business and did a great job and got me in and out quickly. The employees were extremely friendly and welcoming. Read Less

At the last minute, I popped in to Varsity Nails before a friend's wedding for a manicure and pedicure.  Although it took a while longer than I had anticipated, my french manicure looked absolutely perfect for the wedding and it lasted for nearly two weeks.  Excellent work ladies! Read Less
