I met Gail during their annual Breast Cancer fundraiser event for Wigs and Wishes. I am currently undergoing chemotherapy and Gail told me about the Wigs and Wishes organization and how it helps women feel beautiful while battling cancer. I went in the following week to pick out a the color and wig style of my choosing. They called me a couple of weeks later to let me know it was in. They pampered me, Michelle expertly applied my make up, and I walked out of their feeling like a million bucks! I felt beautiful and for the first time since starting my chemotherapy, I felt that people saw me as me and not someone battling cancer. Went for my first visit and was only upset with the way they handled pricing. I was told $240 over the phone, then when I came in they changed it to $290, and then when I went to check out they upped it to $300. I had gone in that day planning to spend $240 plus tip and had to charge my card due to the inconsistent pricing. However, the service/atmosphere/results were wonderful. Well first off, the salon itself is fab. There's a stylish blow dry bar, where bubbly is served, hellloooo! Color and a mimosa? Yes, please. The juxtaposition of industrial with sparkly chandeliers is awesome. My stylist, Jen, masterfully executed some pretty amazing color mojo and a super cute cut, of which I'm extremely grateful. Had an amazing experience my first Visit! I called late one evening needing a haircut and the lady I spoke with over the phone was very pleasant and got me in the very next day! Had a great experience with Courtney with my eyelash extensions! She knows her stuff and was soo considerate letting you know from start to finish on what she was doing! She is sweet and enthusastic to what she was doing on top of being extremely professional! I have been getting my eyelashes done for many years by several different salons looking for good quality lashes, good adhesive and creative application and i have finally found the salon -she is it! By far the worst haircut I have ever had. Not only was taken in an hour after my appt. The hairstylist did not listen to anything to how I wanted my cut. I said please not too much layers and long layers. Instead she me the opposite and layers literally 2 inch from my roots. I end up going to another salon to have it fix, the stylist there called my hair a fancy mullet. I still have to wait until my short later will grow back. This was a Groupon deal, trust me I learned my lesson. Hairstylist at this salon have no experience! Don't go here and do research! This salon shows zero respect for their customer!! I purchased 2 Groupons for haircut and blow dry for my mom who is 101 years old. I called, made the appointment, told the girl I had a Groupon. We went this morning with Groupon in hand. When we got there the stylist told us she will not honor the Groupon. The girl I spoke to on the phone when I made the appointment said I didn't tell her I had a Groupon. The owner got involved and sided with her employee, basically saying that I lied about informing her of the Groupon. Keep in mind that nowhere on the Groupon (even the fine print) did not mention anything about using a specific stylist. At no time was I disrespectful to anyone there. That's not my nature. I had to pay full price for the haircut AND I told them they lost me as a customer. The owners attitude was she could care less. She said "sorry, there's noting I can do". This is my experience with 4 different hairstylists at the salon. I've come in to get my roots touched up and every single time each stylist dyes it so much darker than I've asked. It's been months since my last visit and the dye that's been left still has not lightened (probably because they've done the same mistake 4 times over and over). I was very specific in that I did not want my roots darker and I wanted them to match the rest of my hair. I mentioned it multiple times after the first time they messed up. I tried to be optimistic but I don't think most of them really cared to put effort into the finished product. The worst part about it is that each time when I would point out that it's not what I wanted they insisted it looked more natural because "roots are supposed to be darker". Even though beforehand I explained the regrowth is more obvious when they dye it darker, totally not natural (plus it's also not what I wanted so that's not what they're supposed to do!!). They don't take accountability for their mistakes and instead make excuses which made me feel uncomfortable and unhappy. My best experience was with a male stylist and even though I didn't get the result I wanted he was the nicest and the one who seemed to take the job more seriously. I can't remember his name but I'm pretty sure he's the only male stylist there and even though I won't be going back because of the many failed attempts by all the other stylists I've tried, he's the one I would recommend trying out. When I mentioned how I wanted the roots lighter like how they were before I went there, one of them insisted on a pricey process which bothered me because I wouldn't have needed that if they just got it right the first time. Don't know if they purposely mess up to get you back there quicker/for other services but be careful and be extremely specific in what you want. I'm not a confrontational person but I shouldn't have to be for them to get the message they messed up after me telling them that what I got is not what I wanted. Read Less

**PHOTOS INCLUDED  FOR PROOF ** On July 21st,2015  my 17 yr old daughter had an appointment with Kim. She showed her the cut and color that she wanted( photo below)   and there seemed to be no issue so I left to keep my son busy. She let me know she was done so I hurried back over and was confused.. it didn't seem like anything had been done other than a bad haircut. After looking more closely I saw some VERY oddly done highlights with horrible lines and they weren't even the color she asked for. The style of the dye job wasn't even close to correct and we voiced this to the owner. She agreed without question that it wasn't right at all but we had to come back a few days later because I had a meeting to get to. We paid and stupidly tipped $30 thinking it would be fixed without issue.  Before their student discount the cost was apparently $160 ..  So I made her an appointment to fix it ( Thursday ) and wasn't concerned after seeing the outstanding work done by other stylists at this salon. As I am sitting there waiting my daughter comes back to the front and tells me we have to pay another $65.00 for toner. I was just so shocked that after such GLARING mistakes on her end we would still have to pay to correct what should have never been an issue to begin with. So long story short( because my daughters hair sure isn't)- it's "better" but it is still not what we paid for or even close to what she wanted. It was not handled professionally and if you offer a student discount to customers you should still treat them as important as other customers. We rescheduled her senior pictures that were supposed to take place and now I will have to pay someone else to correct the lines on the back of her head and the color issues. I am bummed out for my daughter that she spent her own hard earned $$ and finally did something for herself only to be left with a fried head of hair, the incorrect haircut and completely wrong color job covered in weird lines like she has a graph on the back of her head!!!!  When I asked why my daughter why she didn't tell me how wrong it was after the "fix" she explained that she just had to get out of there and couldn't really tell how bad it still was until we got outside into the sunlight.  If the desired style or colors could not be achieved then a stylists job is to tell the customer up front. Not take on the job and wreck someones hair. Lesson learned. Sadly at a high cost both financially and her senior photos.   Now I was witness to some amazing acts of kindness by the owner, what she does for women battling cancer is AMAZING. I wish this had been handled differently and someone else had been in charge of correcting such blatant mistakes. I did ask the front desk if it would have to be the same person correcting the issue and was told that was how it worked. Bless the stylist's heart! I went in to have my eyebrows done and I'm not really sure if they waxed any hair off. I like a nice arch and have been growing my brows out since they were way too thin the last time I had the waxed. I wanted them shaped, but I meant more of an arch, I ended up with a catapult shape. Maybe I shouldn't have tipped, to make my point but I don't want to be rude and cheap. Having to pay for eyebrows just as bushy as they were going in to the salon might feel worse than having them too thin. I don't know. I'm so conflicted. You can't make this stuff up...I didn't even have the heart to ask him to shape them the right way because who likes telling others how to do their job? Well I went in for blonde highlights and they took my almost black hair to a bleach blonde / orange. Needless to say my hair is fried! If Gail is a professional then why didn't she say no or know she was going to fry my extremely healthy hair. I was always complemented on my hair and now it's horrible. 300 hundred dollars later I went to my friends salon and she fixed the color but there is no fix to FRIED hair. This week I went with my 12 year old daughter to Look Salon to request the following service:Blonde tips for my daughter, in which the owner, replied yes of course we can do it, but then what was supposed to be blonde tips the hairdresser started calling Ombre styling!There is no mention of "ombre" in their website and saloon, the prices in the website do not match the "new" prices at the saloon,  all prices have a + sign  at the end meaning that they can charge any price they want based on the "density of the hair".They didn't give any price in advance or explained that this was considered a "special", bear in mind that full highlights in their web site is 110+ dollars.After an hour my daughter was done, the hair looked good and then the receptionist asked me $260.00 for the services provided to a 12 year old child!!!!! Outrageous!!!!!! No hair cut no special products.  So in few words kids pay the same as adults and prices don't match their web site and if you ask for a service that is not in their list make sure to ask the price in advance. I had gotten years of great hair cuts from Gail, the owner, but recently my hair was ruined at The Look by her. I had gotten a nice cut but it was just one inch too long. I had gone in to have the one inch shortened. I walked out with my long hair sheared off above my shoulders with choppy short awful layers all over. I am so upset and disappointed. I look horrible. So short I can't even put it up. So short I can't get it to go around an roller. No excuse for this. Maybe Gail was upset I came back to ask for my hair to be a bit shorter, I don't know. I just know I look awful and I'm so sorry I came back to have that little bit cut off to have my hair destroyed. I trusted them. My advice is don't go here if you want someone to truly care about giving you what you ask for. Very hurt and sad. They can't bring my nice hair cut or long hair back. Just in time for Christmas too I wish them all well, but what was done to me was wrong. The bible says a woman's hair is her glory. I don't have much glory shining anymore. NOT a recommendation, the product is average and the service is not the best. The owner is HORRIBLE and the prices are even worse! I have been going to this place for two years and the past several visits have been more than disappointing. If you're going to cater to a college audience, offer a college discount AND advertise in local college magazines, you should expect college customers! I am NOT going to pay $30 for a blow out when my hair is paper thin and it is a service that should be included like every other salon (yes, I am talking about the high end salons also) and then on top of that charge extra for "extra grow out" in my color service because I waited an extra month to come in... you did not use extra product believe me I've paid attention to how much you use. And don't anyone dare question the prices and policies of their salon or the owner will quickly correct you with her snarky attitude. They can fix anything.Gail and Connie started this salon after moving around a bit since Capello's was changing.  They, I believe, were the first two certified hair colorists in the state.  They travel to the Redken seminar each year for education.  What's more, they care.Gail was cutting my hair for around 9 years and she was doing fine, though her eyesight for cuts was not as good when I moved out of the area.I'm always amazed what she could do with an up-do, even with a wedding party screaming early in the morning.  Why do they scream?  I'd say that they're so nervous that perfection wouldn't please them.She also can do a highlight quite well, when she did the shoeshine technique on me.I've also seen her take care of someone whose hair was butchered by a bad coloring session and by the time she's finished, you can't tell that there was a problem.She and Connie will work so hard to make sure you're pleased and they keep people working in the salon that seem to feel the same way. I have been going to Gail for several years now to get my hair cut and colored/highlighted, and am always extremely happy each time. I get so many compliments on my hair color and cut! In the past I would stray to another Salon from time to time because of convenience (I work in Cape Canaveral but live in Winter Springs), but each time I kick myself because I am not happy with the cut I get at another Salon. I have learned my lesson and will always be loyal to Gail or any of her crew for that matter. I booked an appointment and it was great! We talked about my hair , and styling do's & don't and he really listen and worked with me to get a cut that I wanted and works for me!!
