I was a customer here last March and soon after getting a pedicure I mysteriously ended up with a plantar’s wart on the bottom of my foot. I’d never had one before and after some research I learned that a common way to contract a plantar’s wart is through contact with medical or beauty tools that have not been properly sanitized. That means the actual tools used on your foot as well as the tub you put your feet in to relax. This $60 mani/pedi has now cost me over $200 in medical expenses as I try to get rid of this plantar’s wart, but sadly it’s not that easy and I still have additional appointments in my future. This is a cute nail salon. It is pretty pricey unless you go on a day they have a special. They are by appointment only, and they book fast. The receptionist, one of the nail techs mother, is absolutely delightful. All of the employees are great. I absolutely love the way Mayeline did my nails! I called for a last minute appointment and she was able to squeeze me in during my lunch break on a Friday. She reshaped the horrible mess another tech at another salon had did.  I recently moved from Jersey and went to a few places in Orlando to get my nails done. I left dissatisfied and pissed I paid for such horrible work. This salon is chic and clean. I would recommend this place to anyone. I love this small nail boutique! It is very unexpected in a small plaza off of Michigan and Bundy. With two of my tips popped off I needed to soak off my Nexgen and get gel on my nails until I can go to my regular tech down south a week from now.First off the person the phone was very professional and with GPS being inaccurate on the time we would arrive, also very patient!! When we came in all colors were organized by colors with gels behind the normal color. Dip IS available at this location but not the brand of NEXGEN. They do use new nail kits for every guest and recycle sanitized foot scrubs and brushes. Wine, coffee, and water is available for refreshments. They have porcelain foot station and high top manicure stations. A few of the pictures are taken with the chandelier lighting but the place is usually well lit with the ceiling lights on as well. Our nail tech was very pleasant and held great conversation! She was also very nice with my daughter. For my daughters mani and pedi and my soak off and gel manicure the total was 80.00 a little but more than most place but it seems like the only good option available in this area? Read Less

This place came highly recommended but when I went to their salon today they said that they could not get me in until later because they already had clients. No one was waiting in the the waiting area and while most of the ladies were currently working on customers there was a lady sitting at the computer that could have done a quick manicure. The nail technician here had no idea what she was doing and within 24 hours, 3 of my nails popped off. I was SOOOO impressed with this salon. I came in from out of town, over Thanksgiving, and they were able to squeeze me right in and stayed open late for me. Also, I am extremely picky with my nails and my nail tech, I have had the same one for 15 years, so I was VERY hesitant. I knew the minute I sat down with Mayelin and started talking to her I was going to be in good hands. Two and a half hours later my nails were perfect! I can't recommend this salon enough. This place is magical! I loved the ambiance and it's original interior design. The place is extremely clean and feels very homey. The ladies that work here were all incredibly nice to me and offered the best service. I have only been here once and I am already planning on going back again. The only thing that i noticed is that the prices are a little higher than other nail salons I have gone to. I paid 37 for a regular mani and pedi at another nails salon and at Xclusive I paid 45. I opted for the gel manicure and spa pedicure and the attention to detail performed by the nail tech was amazing. Hands down the best manicure, pedicure I have gotten. Tried this place for the first time today and had Mayelin do my nails. She actually took the time to consult with me and advise me on a better nail shape than the one I previously had. She also helped me decide on a color combo that I ultimately loved and taught me about holographic and chrome polishes. Xclusive nail bar was a great experience. I've never been to a salon where there are zero complaints. They are so humble and treat you great. The place is clean and smells amazing.The color selection is great .  I brought my kids with me because there was a cancel with our sitter and they were amazing with them , having a salon with appointments only was amazing , they did not rush and they did a phenomenal job. I was introduced to this salon by a friend and boy am I glad a was. It is a little out of the way for me, but I can make the trip every couple of weeks to get my hands and feet done - its so worth it! Its a cute little shop in SoDo with a GREAT staff! Everyone I've encountered is so nice and wonderful at what they do. On Mondays and Wednesdays they have a $48 special where you get a Gel Manicure and Spa Pedicure. Great deal and a nice way to treat yourself!I haven't been regularly getting my nails done in YEARS, but after one trip to Xclusive I'm back to it! I do the Mani/Pedi special once a month and get the gel polish switched out in between. I just had a Signature pedicure with Jomary and it was one of the best pedicures I have ever had. She was very detailed and so meticulous on my toes, took her time and did the perfect job.  It was so relaxing. My feet and legs were massaged 4 times!  She applied a cucumber scrub and massage, then a leg masque and massage, then a coconut oil and massage, lastly another oil and massage. It was so heavenly. The salon was very clean and very nicely decorated. The person who was doing the acrylic needs to learn how to shave down underneath the nails or atleast not mold the nail so thick. Otherwise it's a cute little nice and friendly environment and the owner is a very interesting character. The cups of tea offered is a very lovely touch! Read Less

Mayelin was awesome - I had the best gel mani/pedi I have ever had (and I am picky).  The only thing I didn't like about the place was that the pedicure benches aren't very comfortable (as some of the other reviews mention), but this is still by far the best nail place in Orlando! I have mixed feelings about this place.  I have been there now about 5 times and first found them through Groupon, where I was allowed to purchase 2 Groupons for a gel manicure.  When I tried to use the 2nd Groupon, the owner refused it stating the Groupons are only allowed once, but I could give the 2nd one to another person to use.  I didn't know that or wouldn't have purchased two.  Also, she was kind of rude about it and she made me feel like I was trying to pull one over on her.  I didn't appreciate feeling like I needed to defend myself. She should have just honored the Groupon.  I think it was a savings of $10 for her to refuse the Groupon, but it made a customer probably not ever want to come back again.  The saving grace was the sweet lady who did my nails. Mayelin.  She was clearly trying to make me feel better after the embarrassing attitude I got from the owner.  If you go there for a pedi they do not have massage chairs.  Instead there is a long shelf you sit on along the wall with a bunch of plush pillows you can use to adjust to your comfort level.  Not really sure how else to describe it, but it's not my preference.  I'm 5'2" and I had to use a lot of pillows to position myself far enough from the wall for my feet to reach the foot bath and also have back support.  Again, just not my preference. One positive about this place is that they have a huge selection of gel colors with matching lacquers/polish that are organized together so it's easy to pick what you want quickly. I came here following my trusted yelpers and I feel totally lied to...I asked for a full set with short almond nails, so you know what I was getting. PROS-This place is seriously adorable, the decor is so cute. -They have coffee, water, sodas and wine that they offer-They have a lot of colors, designs, stamps, glitters, everything you could want.CONS-My appointment was at 3pm, I got there at 2:55pm and the lady who was supposed to do my nails, was getting her nails done, I waited for about 15 minutes past my appointment time, until her nails were done for her to come to me. Unprofessional in my opinion, but whatever. -I picked out two colors, and she put them back, saying that she liked a different brand better and picked out two similar, but different colors, which I didn't like nearly as much.-As she was cutting down the tips of the full set, I kept asking for them to be a little shorter and she was giving me a lot of attitude, saying I barely had any nails left and she literally couldn't file any more down. Mind you, my nails were still so long it was about inch over my nail bed, fine for some people, but not what I wanted. -When she filled the nails with acrylic, it was very lumpy and uneven, although she did drill some of it down, she left at least 4 nails totally unsightly from how lumpy they were-In the drilling down, she caught my skin SEVEN times, seven of my nails were bleeding and thumping and burning-She left the nails VERY thick, and didn't drill or file underneath, so there were huge chunks of acrylic under my nails that are poking my skin-it took TWO AND A HALF HOURS for just a full set, no pedicure, nothing else, just a full set, I left my 3pm appointment that started around 3:15pm at 5:50pm- My nails were hurting so bad for a week after the appointment, they were literally pulsating and stinging, it hurt to pick things up, I had to have them removed elsewhere.-THE FULL SET COST $65.00 plus tip. THAT IS UNHEARD OF!! Total mutilation of my fingers, waste of time and total scam. Would not return ever. Read Less

Had a GREAT time here chit chatting with my hubby and the girls and it was relaxing. The pedi and mani was great! From the 2 times I have been here they have been pretty detailed and I really like that I don't have to walk out and see a bunch of mess ups like the Asian places do. I have gotten acrylic nails done for years but had taken a hiatus to attempt growing my own and doing at home gel polish (not successfully I might add). I live downtown and started my search on Yelp to find a nearby salon and happened upon this amazing little gem. I've been back 3x and have my appointments lined up! (They send you reminder emails a day or two prior to your next service which is great.)As soon as you walk in you can see and experience the difference of what a nail salon should be. It's cute, artsy and a cozy atmosphere. You are immediately greeted and offered a beverage (wine is a plus in the evening after a long day at work!) the color selection is excellent with matching gel colors to regular polish mostly OPI and other high quality brands. Everything is very clean and sanitary and the techs take the time to keep it that way in between their clients. The pedicure is very relaxing, comfortable and my feet looked and felt wonderful.  As far as acrylics go, Alex is spot on with the shape and precision! I've been some places that they don't take the time to ensure your nails lengths and widths are matching - definitely not the case here. My gel polish could easily last 3 weeks but I personally just love having a fresh set with new colors and designs more regularly so I treat myself.
