It's been over a year since I moved from Florida to North Carolina. I just want you to know that I have not been able to find a salon here that has people like Amanda Gaddo and Austin in terms of the care/service they provide. Amanda always made sure I had an amazing experience and Austin always went above and beyond to ensure I had my personal needs met and that he worked with me to get my services scheduled/rescheduled as seamlessly as possible. Generally the team there is so pleasant and helpful. I miss the experiences I had at Whole Aveda. Thank you for the special environment/people you have working there. I can't recommend coming to this Salon enough! From the moment you walk in the door, someone is always there to greet you and offer you something to drink. Everyone is very prompt with helping check you in and ensure that your stylist knows you've arrived. I've had particularly exceptional experiences with both Lea and Libby with styling/washing my hair. They always do such great work and are extremely friendly, making the entire experience that much more enjoyable. After having the same hair dresser for 11 years I switched to Kris James at Whole Salon. She’s pretty amazing! Now my husband and I both see her! My 4 year old had her first cut ever with her! I had a horrible experience. I was looking for a reasonable priced salon to get my hair done since my regular salon was booked for the day I needed. I was going to get my hair cut and highlighted for an even I had that day. I made an appointment over the phone with the guy who quoted me on my hair. I was very specific about my hair. A few weeks later I go in and sit down to do my hair. I was supposed to have a level 3 hair stylist and they have levels 1-8. I wanted to double check the price and the woman comes back and ups the cost. Not $5, more like a $50. I have no problem paying for highlights, but I know the average prices. I go to a really nice salon that is expensive and does an amazing job, but what they wanted is absurd. I told her that the guy on the phone had quoted me and that I was supposed to be scheduled with a level 3. The stylist said that she was a level 2 and that a level 3 would be more. I have been to MANY salons in Tampa. I know the good from the bad, the reasonable to the rip off. The price they were asking for someone with that little experience was outrageous. I have been going to Whole Aveda Salon Spa for a little over a year. Once I met Candace, I knew I would be coming back. She is a talented stylist that not only makes my hair look and feel beautiful, but she makes me feel beautiful. She offers the perfect products and tells me how to use them so that I get the same results at home. My male employees have noticed the difference and have paid me compliments, time after time. I had my first massage there with Kalina. She is absolutely amazing! There aren't enough accolades to tell you how good I felt after the massage. I had been going through a really rough time after the deaths of two of my closest friends. The first time I felt peace was during my massage. The staff at the front desk is always friendly and helpful. They never make me feel like a bother, even when I have questions about my Pure Privilege account. Located next to Tijuana Flats, Salt Rock Tavern and Rumba Grill, Whole Aveda is in the mix of things going on in oldsmar. A friend of mine recommended I see Ashley. She was absolutely great. The salon is huge and bustling even at 8pm at night. Once she walk in the front door, you're immediately hit with the amazing smells of Aveda. If they could bottle that smell I'd buy it. Worst experience ever! Freakish looking employees like something from the living dead!  Drove an hour to get there for an appointment with Ashley who was extremely argumentative and not warm and fuzzy at all. Even my 10 year old was upset by the way she spoke.  She kept trying to push low lights when I never had them and never needed them -I was told $130 for highlights . She walked away came back 10 minutes later and said $175! I don't even pay that much in Manhattan ! Would never go back here! Rip off prices and nasty employees! Guess what hair people-" it's not always what you say  but how you  say it!"  Be nicer to your customers ! Never met such cold rude employees and not a manager around to deal with the issue ! I am very picky about who does my hair because I've been really let down by stylists in the past. (I'm talking uneven bangs and highlights with a half inch of root. One time a stylist took seven hours to give me partial highlights and I thought I was going to have to pull up a cot and sleep there.) I found Whole Aveda on Yelp and was randomly assigned Janna as my stylist. I couldn't be more thankful because she's hands-down *Drake voice* the best I've ever had. She has the ability to somehow know exactly what I'm thinking and make it a reality. The prices are absolutely reasonable for the services you receive. You get what you pay for, and I don't know about you, but since I don't look good in a beanie, I prefer for my hair to look like it's been cut by someone who knows what they're doing! The head and hand massages are a nice perk, too.I moved out of state last year, but I made a point to make a hair appointment with Janna (who has become a good friend!) as soon as I booked my plane ticket. I've referred at least five friends to Janna and Whole Aveda, and they've all had amazing experiences. I am so glad I stumbled upon this salon. You won't be disappointed.PS try that Aveda tea! I went from having beautiful natural hair to damaged hair. They ruined my hair because of the highlights I got done and on top of that, the color was just totally not what I wanted. The only good thing about this place is the girl who cuts my hair. She does a good job at knowing exactly what I want but my haircut costs me at a price of almost $95. I mean I don't mind paying that much for a cut as long as it comes out nice. As for coloring my hair here, never again. Read Less

I used to go to this salon for messages and facials....however they haves lost some staff and the message therapist that are there now are mediocre. I am the very happy winner of a years worth of facials...one a month for a year.Today was my first facial...what a wonderful experience. Why 5 stars? Because the head massage they give you when washing your hair is worth the price of the haircut.  When I first moved to Tampa, I had a friend who colored and cut my hair out of her house.  She did a great job and it was cheap- no bells and whistles.   When she moved out of town, I panicked- I don't deal well with change very well. A friend of mine referred me to Heather Winder at Whole Aveda.  Heather was super friendly and did a great job. I was indecisive about what color to do and how much I wanted cut off- but she offered some suggestions and it turned out perfect.  The best part of the whole experience though was the shampoo.  Expect to spend 5-10 minutes getting your hair washed- as they take their time with a scalp massage and finish it off with a warm towel wrapped around your head.  They'll leave you lounged in the chair with the warm towel for a couple minutes and I often fall asleep at this time lol.  As with most nice salons, they offer up beverages and reading material.  And, they don't judge you if you bring Tijuana Flats chips and queso to eat during your appointment.  A all over color and cut with Heather sets me back $115.  But- they have a sliding scale of prices based on the hair stylist's level of experience (Heather is on the higher end).  So, you can get out of there at a cheaper price if needed.   Believe me, the head massage is worth it. Anyways, I was greeted promptly and offered some awesome Aveda tea and my stylist was so sweet . She sat me down and did a thorough consultation, really understood what I was looking for and with curly hair that can be difficult. I had a fabulous manicure and pedicure. All i could think was how nice it was to know that I wouldn't be walking out of there with any crazy infections like those other nail places we have all been to because it was so clean and so quiet back there in their spa.
