My wife went in to have a manicure and pedicure which was $50. She was given a new staff member. This woman spoke no English and wife came home with her toe and finger nails uneven and the polish not covering the entire nails. She tried to tell the girl that they looked awful but she didn't understand. When she told the owner. He told her to come back the next day and the same girl would fix it! The same person?! My wife told him she'd accept half the money she spent back. He became irate and was yelling at her in front of the other customers stating the woman had spent an hour on my wife and she was not getting her money back. Not only was I lied to about the amount of time it would take to get my legs waxed, but I was also lied to about the price. I was informed that it would take 30 minutes and only $35 for both legs half waxed. Although they were very nice over the phone and worked me in last minute, it was misleading. I was told to be there at 6:15 and the place had only one lady who was working. I sat for a little over 15 minutes and then was seen. It took her 2 hours to complete only half of my two legs. And, they charged me $50, $25 for ONE LEG. Not only was I mislead but I had to hold my leg up to the light and show her each place she had missed, given I have fair hair, but it should not be my job to do your job. I think I should be able to rate zero stars - they do NOT deserve 1 star!!! My daughter just went there for a half leg wax, on the phone I was told it would be $35 for both legs, which is what everyone else charges in Ocala. She had an appointment at 6:15, at 6:40 they start the waxing, that went from 30 minutes to 2 hours, and jumped to $50. I was not with her, so I feel they took advantage of her - and I will be calling everyone I can in the County to see how I can protect others from this racket. Plus, I want to see the credentials of the one who did the waxing, since she came home with hair patches and wax still on her legs. It's pretty horrible to take advantage of a minor! Read Less

Wonderful salon! Had my nails done elsewhere, and what a mess. Asked people with beautiful nails where they had theirs done, and it seemed like everyone was naming Anna and John at Essential Nails so I gave them a try. My nails were corrected, done to perfection, look fabulous, and now I'm wondering why I wasted 2 1/2 years at the other salon when I could have been going here. HIGHLY recommend Essential Nails.
