I just left Azulene for a manicure service and I hated it. First of all, the guy that did the service is sick and he was not wearing a mask, he was sneazing in front of me ! I didn’t have my readers with me by the time he was finished so I couldn’t see in details how it came out ... not good at all. My left thumb nail is completely opaque ( I don’t know what he did with the polish ) and most of the other nails has little bubbles on it. Lots of skin left around the nail ... This salon spa is amazing!! It’s super clean, comfortable and everyone is really nice and very accommodating. Their nail selection is incredible, from regular nail polish to gel to dipping to Cat Eyes. Their staff is amazing so you won’t be disappointed who you get but a few of my faovrites are Long, Sylvia and Tiffany. They offer many other services which I eventually will be trying out. I went with a bridal party for the first time this evening and I am utterly appalled. I asked for a regular pedicure and manicure and it cost me $89 dollars. $89!!!! I didn’t even get GEL! The pedicure was enjoyable but the manicure was literally the worst experience I have ever had in the 10 years I’ve been getting my nails done. The technician was beyond rude and clearly didn’t care about the outcome of my nails - which are bubbly, poorly filed, uneven, and smudged. I had to tell him numerous times I didn’t want the get gel coloring. After paying he openly complained about the tip he received. He even showed the receipt to another technician. He continued to not say a word to me and just speak to the person next to him for the rest of the time and when he finished he stood up and told me to go dry my nails (not even knowing where to go) and walked away. I wish I had seen some of these other reviews before going in. My daughter and I went in for pedicures, the facility is nice and clean, the atmosphere is nice, but the technician made my toe bleed badly, and the polish job was not professional at all. I had to redo the polish on my daughters toes, and have to wait for my toe to heal before I can remove the bad job from my feet. This was an expensive lesson and we won't be back. Read Less

I was hesitant to go since they are rated a 2.8 on Google, but I've been three times in the past year for pedicures, and I've had excellent experiences each time. I take my friends when they are visiting, and they all say it's one of the best pedicures they've ever had (I'm partial to the P5 pedicure). I've yet to be disappointed.Read Less

Just moved to town and was looking for a place just like this. Sadly, I'll not try any other services. Worst nails ever! Thick, messy, doesn't cover the whole nail, not painted all the way, pieces of acrylic under nails that I had to remove and pieces chipping off of nails. I ask to see a manager and have called twice. ~Update 5 weeks after original: My friend went to fix a nail that broke a few days after initially getting hers done and they "could not find her in the system" to figure out who did her nails. She gave them her receipt and they figured it out. I went to fix 2 nails that were filed too thin and they couldn't find the guy who did my nails even though I kept pointing him out saying "I believe it was him over there." So they try to pretend they don't know who did your nails so they don't have to give you a fix. I'm starting to see why people get upset. ~Update 2.5 weeks after initially getting them done: there were no chips or breaks or peels. The nail polish was starting to fade but I didn't use gel. Gel lasts longer. They even tell you that. I just got them refilled today with a different guy and he did a great job. In the pictures, the grey nails are mine and the pinkish nails are my friend's. ~Original review: I got my acrylics done there a week ago and they still look great! I even did yard work and they didn't break. The nail polish isn't even faded or chipped. They're not the most talkative people, but that's not what I'm there for. It's comical, really, I'm new to the area and had let my hair grow to allow for over zealous hairdresser.  I chose Azulene Day Spa because of the upscale appearance and area.  Salon is beautiful, serene.  I met Robin and carefully, redundantly described I did NOT want inverted A-line (that seems to be the only style taught now!) and specifically did NOT want a shorter back, but a few layers would work.  Well, I began to realize too what was happening but there was no going back after part of the back fell off!  It's a style that's ridiculous for me and exactly what I specified NO!   I can't have it adjusted because there's nothing left in the back - we discussed hair being below my ear but apparently I didn't say all the way around.  What a mess - oh well, hair grows! The building is gorgeous! Thats where the good experience ends. I was over due for a pedicure and decided to give them a try. I'm 9 months pregnant and wanted to treat myself before my baby comes! The prices are much higher than other places, probably due to "spa" being at the end of their name. Kevin did my pedicure and was very sweet, but he was extremely rough and I left with my toes hurting and my cuticles cut significantly. They were even bleeding during the pedicure. He was using the nail file to remove my cuticles instead of actually cutting them. I've had many many pedicures and never once left in actual pain. I decided that since I spent $45 on the pedicure and had such a bad experience I would contact them. They had me go in to "look" at my toes and tried to convince me that he was just doing a thorough job and that's why they were sore, even though it was obvious I had scabs on my cuticles from the cuts starting to heal. They decided to refund my money when it was obvious trying to convince me this was "normal" wasn't working, I never asked for my money back, that was their solution. The man (I'm assuming a manager) was so disrespectful the entire time. "This is our first time ever refunding money, once a service is provided it's over" basically degrading me for not being happy with their service. They had difficulty getting the machine to refund to my credit card and by this time there was a bigger group of employees standing around and of course staring at me for being the rude one unsatisfied with my sliced cuticles. Today I had Kim give me a $43 pedicure. It was fantastic, Kim was friendly and full of smiles. My only complaint was her paint job. After leaving, I was able to see my toes in the day light and she didn't do the greatest job painting. If I have time tomorrow I will ask them to re-paint them. If not, oh well. Nice atmosphere. They only take cash tips (which would have been good to know). Clean tools and relaxing atmosphere. But the chairs are not passed very well, so the massager is quite intense. Enjoy. Read Less

Pedicures are awesome! Kay and Joan do a great job and are so sweet! Unfortunately the last visit I had for a full set Andy drilled my nails down until they were very thin and red, and then started to make them super short to the point where he had made my skin raw. He had drawn blood on one finger and the rest were burnt by the drill. Nathan did my friends nails and they came out perfect and she said he was very personable. So if you get a full set done I would recommend Nathan! For the most part we've had very good experiences when getting pedicures so I didn't want to give this spa a bad review! Read Less

I was recommended to this salon by a coworker. I was utterly disappointed by my experience. From the time I walked in they wanted to argue with me about what I wanted. If I didn't need my nails done so badly I would have left. The pedicure was $37 and only lasted w0 minutes from beginning to end. I have worn acrylic nails for 20 years and I don't remember a worse experience.  We just moved to Florida and I guess I continue the search for a high quality nail salon. Very overpriced! Read Less

We went to this nail salon for their advertised $38 for mani-pedi.  They no longer honor that price. My pedi went well, but my manicure ( basic, nothing special) was so bad I came home to redo it. The gal at the desk said he had not cleaned them well enough after wax and before painting. They said they would redo, but 3 folks were waiting for me.  The only other option was returning within 3 days, but we are from out of town.  I ended up paying almost $50 for a decent pedicure.  The place was soothing and the experience was good except for the bad nails. I went to this spa with my friend to get our nails done for a wedding. The place is very nicely decorated and clean. They offer all services.All the people doing your nails are Asian, which I thought was funny.My lady was really nice but she was so fast with my nails! I was done in like 20 mins. and with gel polish is usually takes longer from my past experiences. But she did do a good job. My only complaint is the the line for my french manicure could have been a little thinner, and had she asked before doing it I could have conveyed that. very nice place - open on Sundays a plus but you better get there early they get busy quick. Very nice staff & the place is clean. The young lady did a good job - I had the works, mani/pedi and eyebrow wax. They try and upsell you on everything. I just wanted the gel polish, I have natural nails. I choked a little when I got the final bill. It is expensive but then you get what you pay for. Here is the problem........ I went to pay and was told I could not put the tip on the bill and my card!!! REALLY? Cash only tips. Oh they do have an off brand ATM machine in the place, of course you will get charged for using it on both ends. I left and went up the street to my banks ATM. I am sure I burned less gas then the fee that would have been charged. If your that upscale then you should do tips on a card or at least post large signs saying cash tips only! Read Less

FULL OF PRETENSE - FALLS FLAT There is an adage that you get what you pay for. In this establishment's case, it puts a negative twist - you DO NOT get what you pay for. I paid a total of $64.00 + tip for a mani and spa pedi. It was supposed to be a 1 hour plus for a manicure and pedicure, however it took the whole experience two and a half hours!! Here's why:I was enticed to go for what seems an extra splurge, given I was on vacation. However by the time I was done, the polish on my feet were all uneven, and my manicure had air bubbles. The tech fixed the air bubbles by applying another coat! I just didn't want to linger any longer after two hours. My MIL pointed out that they have a guarantee, so I actually made an appointment for the next day for them to fix my manicure because it was uneven. After paying for the service, and as I bent down to remove the spacers from my toes, that's when I noticed the shoddy pedicure - the application was uneven, and truly the worst pedicure I have ever received. At this time, I had no choice but to get it fixed. I could not walk out, it was that bad. I was assured by Ashley who inspected and concurred about the workmanship that it was not going to be the same technician, however the initial tech that was assigned to me, quickly passed me back to the original tech who had an attitude. I thought I would give her a chance, perhaps it was indeed the polish - however it turned it is just an expensive bad service.The result of the fix was not too distant from the original attempt. I thought I was being fair by requesting to get 50% off my bill, however it was turned down. In fact - "Trinh" told me that she can refund me 50% of the cost off the polish - which is a total of $10.00. She also stated that if she were to agree to my original recommendation of taking 50% off, they would have to remove my polish from my toes and fingers. I NEVER heard of such an approach from a service provider!! I was aghast to say the least.BUYER BEWARE!!! The place looks promising and fancy, but it quickly falls apart when the service falls flat. Disappointing to say the least, and need to forewarn as many ladies out there - please KEEP AWAY from this nightmare establishment. Read Less

I am very disappointed with the service at the Ocala SW location.  I set a firm appt for today at 2p and arrived on time.  I was advised to be seated by the hostess.  I advised her that I had a scheduled appt and didn't have time to wait an extended period.  Nonetheless, I waited 20 mins and was never seen nor offered a complimentary beverage on a steaming hot day.  I work in the service industry and understand the purpose of good customer service.
