I wonder how much do they pay to Yelpers to post 5-star reviews?  I came in today to get a manicure because I had some time to kill waiting to be picked up. I am not going to say anything about the quality of the service (I had zero expectations from a walk-in salon). But what I saw - horrified the crap out of me. THEY DO NOT STERILIZE THEIR TOOLS! I watched THREE technicians WASHING the tools under running water and putting them back in the "sealed" pouch that is supposed to be used in the sterilizer. I couldn't believe my eyes. Is it legal??? I have been on a hunt for a nail salon that does acrylics to my liking and I am soooo happy I found Nail Time. I originally got a full set at a fancy nail salon and hated them. I went to nail time for a refill and Tina fixed my acrylics exactly how I originally wanted them. Not to mention I went 3 weeks before my refill and they were still intact. I wish I could give it negative stars. I'm tired of going to nail salons where they think they are doing me a favor because I'm black. I sat there with a broken nail (which might've not been broken if they did it right) and not only did she act like I was not worth the 5 minutes it would take to fix my nail but another customer (white) walked in while she was just finished a customer, she took her FIRST and let me just sit there. I was very upset with the service. The quality of work is nice. But they treated me like I didn't belong there. I got ignored by everyone. I went in for the oink and white special on the bulletin and they charged me for extra dollars for the pink and white on my toes. They should have been more specific in the first place. I was not upset about paying the extra money anyway I wanted the service. Which was a total of $75. So with a tip it would be $110. (According to my tipping policy). I had no problem with it. I can't believe after all this time I've been coming here I haven't reviewed. Well, this review is specifically for Susan. If you want one of the best acrylic/powder techs, she's your girl. I was referred to her after seeing one of my coworkers nails and fell in love. I've been getting my nails done for 14 years and I know the struggle on finding a great tech. ESPECIALLY in Miami. To know if you have a good nail tech just isn't how your nails look right after the salon. It's 1-2 weeks later when they're ready for a fill. Besides the "need for a fill" look, my nails ALWAYS still look fabulous. Never any chipping or the acrylic starting to come up on the edges. So call Susan for the best nails around. Read Less

I recently visited this nail salon to get a gel manicure thinking it would be good by the reviews that it receives, must be them commenting... Because I must say this was one of the worst nail experiences! The girl who did my nails was on the phone, watching a movie on her phone, she cut me with the buffer!! Anyways 2 days later the gel was peeling already so I went back to get them fixed the owner was extremely rude. Then I went a second time to get them fixed 3 days later again it wasn't even a week since the gel has been on and the owner again was rude and made a rude comment "is that better because I don't want u coming back complaining" and its peeling again it's been 1 week. I have been coming to this location for many years. When I go out of town I try different nail places and I always have the urge to run back home and get my nails done by Tina. The location physically is a small place but the nail techs are friendly and welcoming. It does get pretty busy so make sure to call ahead of time and make an appointment. Read Less

I've been back and forth about this place since I moved back to Miami. That is until I found "Helen"! Not only is she friendly, but my basic mani lasted 7 days without chipping! Maybe you didn't hear me say SEVEN DAYS WITH REGULAR POLISH! Typically, a regular mani will last me around 5 days if it's any good... Only the best of the best can give me a mani to last 7 days. Now, don't expect to shovel through rocks with your fingers and have it last. But with basic everyday activities, you should be able to maintain your nails for 7 days. Go here. Ask for Helen. Really rude staff. No one even bothers to welcome you when you walk in. I had an appointment for 3pm and waited 40 minutes for someone to be available to do a manicure.Then I waited for someone to do my toe nails for another 30 minutes. There are plenty of nail places around this area, and I really don't see a reason for anyone to waist their time here. Read Less

This is the second time that I've come here and it is 6:57 pm and they tell me to come back tomorrow because everyone has gone home already. I am VERY picky and my nail salon is all the way in Coral Springs. I walked in Saturday noon and Tina was amazing doing my gel shellac mani despite me having tiny nails and her mom did a very relaxing pedicure. Due that I was seen right away and all worked out fine plus clean they get 5 stars. Read Less

This is my second time coming here. The first time i had to wait and plus I was really indecisive. Cece helped me looked for a design on Pinterest  and she did an awesome job. The paint last the whole month my nails grew out and I loved how thin and natural my nails looked. I paid $35 for gel powder. No one was rude toMe and the service was great. So that is why I went back and did my Christmas nail has my design from Pinterest and Cece alter it once again and I liked it just the same. If there were negative stars I would give this place a bag full of it.  The owner is flat out abusive to his employees and more so to the Spanish speaking ladies.  My usual lady was giving me a pedicure, and he was trying to tell her something in his broken English, he speaks Vietnamese, the lady couldn't understand and I couldn't either!  Well he fired her in the middle of my pedicure, screaming at her "leave, leave, no moh tomorow no moh, leave now."  He barely allowed her to pick up her stuff and was following her screaming at her.    I left mid pedicure and had some words with him.  Conclusion, he doesn't care that most of his clientele is Latin and he wouldn't have the business he had were it not for them, and apparently he has forgotten that were it not for his dime a dozen shit hole, he is an immigrant, as well, at the mercy of a bigger tougher dog.   He can fire whomever he wants, but taking away their dignity just because he can...it's wrong!!! Went in to get eyelash extensions. I guess you get what you pay for - $25 for those cheapo glue-on eyelashes. It took about 15 minutes. Granted, she was probably pretty patient since I kept blinking, it still ended up looking kinda bad. The glue was perceptibly still clumpy after I left. It looks pretty fake and bad, and obviously uneven when looking at both eyes.Having a difficult client is never an acceptable excuse for shoddy work. But like most places, they prefer having you walk out looking like crap than taking the time to produce quality work.Gave it an extra star because I have no basis for comparison for how $25 eyelash extensions are supposed to look like. I made the mistake by coming here since my usual nail salon was closed due to the owners being on vacation. Although I looked Nail Time up beforehand to see if they took walk-ins, I called earlier in the day to set up an appointment just in case. The person I spoke to told me no problem, to come in around 4pm.As I made my way up to the door, 2 employees, a guy and a girl were outside talking. The guy confronted me before I even was able to make it inside the doorway (where it says in big cold letters WALK-INS WELCOME) and asks me what I wanted done with a snarky attitude. I told him I called earlier and had an appointment - to which he said "oh okay please go inside."Made me way in and was told to pick my color and find any empty chair and to wait until someone was available. I waited for maybe 20 minutes and eventually decided this place was not worth waiting any longer. I understand appointment times aren't exact and there were other people before me, but my initial treatment at the door didn't help. Overall I wasn't impressed with this nail salon at all. The perks in a nutshell: Very affordable, safe neighborhood, easy and free parking, walk-ins welcome, fast working staff, and always clean. Can get crowded in the evening but they are fast so the wait is never more than 30 mins.I can't stand nail shops that reek of acetone and this one never does. They keep it ventilated so I never start to feel whoosy if I am there for more than just a brow wax.  Speaking of brow wax, pretty much everyone they have doing wax there does a very solid and clean job on brows. (unlike the hackjobbers employed next door at Uni-K. That place is fine for big body parts but don't let them anywhere near your brows). I know I can pop into Nail Time whenever and get my brows waxed for $10 + tip and be out of there in less than 15 mins.  Their mani/pedis are nothing extravagant. They do spa pedicures with the massage chairs and will give you a foot massage too. But in the interest of keeping the customer flow moving, it isn't a very decadent experience. Quick, efficient, good, friendly, and cheap. If you want a nice relaxing resort or spa type environment, definitely go somewhere else. For the longest time I refused to pay for someone else to paint my nails - because giving myself a mani/pedi was somewhat calming and therapeutic.  But lately, I've given in.This is right by the Publix I go to, so decided to check it out.  Walked right in, and didn't have to wait.  Lots of Essie and OPI colors to choose from.  $30 for mani/pedi and was able to put the tip on the credit card, despite signs everywhere saying tips were cash only.  My manicure faster than I wanted... but I think that's partially my own fault.  Next time I'll stick to pedicure only. I will NEVER go back here. The guy who did my nails cut them way too short, and I noticed when it was too late, because he basically nearly cut into my nail bed. Then, to make it worse, he didn't see that they were too short and denied it. They were also not even, so I showed him how to file nails properly.
