This salon is owned by the same people across the street at the 125th st Walgreens plaza. It used to be the best salon in town. 2 years ago they opened this location and had manicures here for $13, and $12 at the other location. They were both doing really well and the owner bought the store next to the 125th street location and expanded. With the expansion came a $3 per manicure hike, raising the price to $15 in both locations. It seemed with the price hike, the service was of lower quality, whereas they used to treat thier regular customers really well. They even had teddy teddy bear pedicure chairs for kids. Today, I went for a Mani and pedi and brought my daughter's for pedicures. Normally the child's pedicure was $12 and today they charged me $21 for each. That was the last straw for this nail salon. Jivana 2 is the sister store of the original Jivana nail salon! If you haven't been here, check it out! The size don't compare to the original Jivana but the service is superb. The salon itself is very clean. If there's a wait at Jivana, I suggest you swing right across the street to pay Jivana 2 a visit! Jennifer was super friendly and did a great job on my nails! from the minute I walked in I should've just walked back out to be greeted with such an attitude by Jennifer who is the receptionist to Holly who was my manicurist who burnt my fingers ,cut them with the drill , not even cleaning under my nails! Fingers or feet !to then go to get my eyebrows waxed! I told her I have make up on she took a dry cotton ball wiped my skin, ready to apply the hot wax I said forget it I paid and left they need better social skills and how to treat a client, much less clean your skin before you apply anything ! Two times already that I call and they tell me that they can take me in until 7pm. I show up 10-15 mins before that time and they say we don’t have time go look for another salon. When I said I came before the time you stated they responded we have the right to refuse. I responded I haven’t done anything wrong to be refused service, she responded in a bad attitude. BUTCHERED - BEWARE. I went in to take off my gel polish (2nd time in my life with practically virgin nails) and the girl drilled my thick, healthy, natural nails down almost to the skin! My nails are now frail, fragile, broken, with blood marks underneath and sensitive to air. Second worst part is - when I called to simply alert management about the practice, Jennifer at the front desk was rude, offered no apology initially and said "all I can do is fix your nails". I said "you can't fix drilled off nails". Then she proceeded to tell me she can't give me anything for free! I told her I would never be coming in there again, didn't need $20 from her shop was just hoping she would show some interest or empathy to prevent this damage to a future customer. DESTROYED MY REALS NAILS!!! Not for real nails!!! I went to get my gels off that I was satisfied with and repaint my natural nails. See the pictures, my real healthy, strong, thick nails (only gel twice in life) were drilled down to fragile, breaking, CUT through nails!!! She destroyed my real nails! You will see the place looks clean, and I had been satisfied with pedicures and the original gel. Beware of them drilling your real nails! My nails feel course and down almost to the skin. Will speak with management. UPDATE: Spoke with management who initially offered no apology only that she would fix my nails. The absolute worst service, nasty and rude. Don't bother going in there. I get my hair done next door at zen Zen salon and just moved into my house in keystone, so I was looking for a new nail place. I brought my hubby, daughter ( she's 5) and myself. We were happy to be getting our nails done together- after they told us it was a 45 min wait, we had yogurt, came back 45 min later and saw the people that were after us being serviced and almost finished. I was very disappointed that I came into this new salon... first of all the service was horrible the front desk John is very rude and gives a lot of attitude and doesn't know how to talk to people my sister had got gel nails and there was some visible clear spots on the coating And for mine else which was a basic Manny Petty French was the worst disaster I should've. Just bought the pharmacy stick on's because I know it would've lasted longer. the tip of my nails are already losing its touch after the first day i'm getting them done and also my technician messed up a couple of times. I will preface this by saying that I typically do my own salon/professional quality mani and pedis at home. My friends/family compliment me on how neat and long lasting my polish is. Typically, I go to the salon about every other month for a more comprehensive pedi. With that said - my expectations are very high and I am likely pickier than the average customer. I was a frequent customer at the original Jivana location and when they went under construction, I decided to try this second location earlier this year. It's my favorite! I've been a few time and have left satisfied every time. At this location, I get pedicures, regular and gel manicures, and paraffin on occasion. I cannot speak on other series or nail enhancements like acrylic, overlays, ect. as I prefer to keep it natural but I've gone with friends as they've had these things done and they were very satisfied. I've been told their overlays are not too thick and very natural.The Pros: Best pedicure ever - the basic pedicure is great, but the enhanced pedicure is a dream. They really take their time and are through with their pedicures. They do a very neat and clean job. They use the sanitary liners on their sinks. It's a very clean and welcoming space. This location is much more peaceful and quiet. I have never waited more than a few minutes to be seated. I use a special gel polish when I'm at home and when I brought it with me, they happily obliged for my manicure. They are very communicative and open to your feedback as they perform their services. They are efficient, but I don't feel rushed. The prices are super reasonable. Regular mani and pedi is $30 and they do a neat job! I don't typically get my manicures from them, but they are good at shaping my nails when I do. They are welcoming. The Cons: I went with a friend and she was told they will charge a fee if she wants to do her mani and pedi at the same time (I'm not sure if this is typical); manis can be improved from good to great; when you get regular polish, I feel like they can be less attentive than when you get shellac or overlays; this location charges $2-3 more per service compared to their other location.I would highly recommend! I have been using acrylic nails for years but I remove them for a couple of months at a time. I have lots of events coming up this week so I decided to try this place out and get my acrylics done. I noticed the guy that was doing my nails was only putting a really small amount of glue. Now today, I was in the shower and the tip of my acrylic fell off when I got them done yesterday! Came in 1 hr before close time.. looks like they were in rush to close because right after I walked in the front desk guy lock the door.. had a shellac $32 the polish was REALLY bad the lady didn't bother changing it or ask if I wanted to change colors.. so she just water it down w some acetone. She had to put F O U R 4!!!!!! Coats so my nails can look decent.. and they're looking like I got them by a 6 yr old...Before this the other lady was doing my pedicure she STAB AND CUT my toe. I kept bleeding and bleeding and she just said "oh it's ok, sorry sorry sorry.." since she saw the blood wasn't stopping she asked if i have diabetes !? Mmm you stab me lady of course I'm going to be bleeding, it wasn't just a tiny nip you rip some of my skin!!!! Of course I had already been asked to pay so they were definitely not giving a discount or a refund. I wasn't offer anything to drink, she didn't bother turning on the massaging chair for me.. buddy at the door kept saying it's 8 o'clock when it was only 7:45pm..They're smaller and less busy then Jivana 1, but hey maybe this is why !! Worst nail service ever. Alex the nail tech's attitude was just as bad with the job he did on my nails. He had a nasty attitude and complained that the amount of time it took for my original shellac polish to soak off was "taking too long for me". And maybe I should see someone else next time. He did a repair on one nail and used a tip that was exceptionally wide for my nail size. My nails did not match in size which in the end looked crazy and unnatural. When I asked him to file down the tip to make it look more natural he tried to give me the nail file and told me to do it!!!! Excuse me sir, do your job thoroughly and fix your face/attitude. That's what I'm paying you for. I was so appalled by his lack of professionalism. The shop has been renovated which is the only pleasant thing about the place. The shop looks really nice. The techs are bad and my nails looked tragic. So much so that when I went to have a gel mani two weeks later at another shop the tech advised that I cut off all my long natural nails and start over. I just went here today for the first time and I had an amazing experience. I got a pedicure ($23) and got my eyebrows ($10) done for a reasonable price. The girl who gave me my pedicure performed both my pedicure and eyebrow wax and did a fabulous job. She was very gentle and didn't ever hurt me during my pedicure. She made sure I was completely satisfied with my end results and didn't ever make me feel rushed. She then did my eyebrows and shaped them to perfection. I've been a customer of jivana 1 for years and after my regular tech moved away, I gave jivana many chances. I was constantly disappointed by the way my nails would turn out. It's always a mad house there, and I never feel welcome. I always feel like I'm burdening them by giving them my business. So u decided to try jivana 2. The only good thing I can say is that it's not as busy. But, my nails still look like crap! They get so annoyed when I direct and describe how I want my nails done. IM PAYING! I should have them done MY way! They constantly cut corners and I always have to either return to have them fixed or do the repairs myself. For the amount I pay, I don't want to have to do more work and spend more time to be satisfied. I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO JIVANA or JIVANA 2. They both suck!!!!!! Read Less

I have been going to the original Jivana for a few years but decided to try this new location mainly because they have a much better parking situation.  I did wait a little longer ( under 10 minutes) then I have ever waited at Jivani but that is because they do not have as many techs, and really it was not a long wait I just have been spoiled from the no wait with the original. They did a really good job redoing this place from when it was Jades, it really is beautiful and they want it to be a spa experience.  The tech I had's name was Thu and she was delightful. The service started out great but once It became my turn to do my nails the service wasn't that great my natural nails are long and I like my gel manicure done a certain way, the nail tech didn't have patience when removing the previous color on my nails proceeded to use her own nail to scratch off my nail polish and didn't listen to my request of just having my nails soak in acetone so she can stop removing layers of my nails off with her own nail and the tools, but she didn't understand me. Love this new location! There's a parking garage in back, so it's easy to find space there. It's very clean and spacious. Really nice pedicure chairs. I go to Alex and she does a FANTASTIC job!
