I've just recently moved to Trinity and decided to find a new salon to frequent rather than driving so far away to go to what was my usual place. I was shocked to walk in and see at least a dozen employees sitting, I assumed waiting on customers. There were two other customers in the location, I'm guessing both were regulars the way their conversations with the nail techs were going. When asked how I could be helped I said I needed a full set. They all just looked at one another as though it were a foreign request at a nail salon. The one closest to me told me to go ahead and sit down and she'd do it.After cutting my existing nails down to the nub and applying the nail tips, another customer walked in and went right to the tech working on my nails wanting to know how much longer she'd be because she was in a hurry. I was told to move over a seat and that someone else would finish me up when they're free, and the customer that walked in took my seat while I waited... and waited... and waited... sitting there with 2" tips superglued to my fingernails. Apparently the remaining techs without customers found their phones, iPads, and the tv more to their interest than serving a customer.Twenty five minutes later, just when I was about to ask who could help me remove the tips from my nails so I could go elsewhere, the original tech that started my nails informed me she was ready to finish me up.As she applied the acrylic, I informed her I'd like the edges slightly rounded rather than square. She used the dremel tool and didn't slightly round them, but made my nails look like ovals. While using the file, she would mess up one nail causing it to be shorter than the others, so she'd revisit each nail previously done and shorten it to the same length. Four mistakes later and there was only about an eighth of an inch of the nail tip left on my nail. Trying to think positive I reminded myself how quickly my nails grow as she proceeded. When the filing was done (and after two different cuts caused by the dremel tool), she started to get out the white polish to begin hand painting the french manicure... while the nail dust was still coating my nails and hands. I asked if I could wash my hands first, to which she said that's not necessary, and she squirted acetone all over my hands to "rinse them off". My cuts are still screaming.Half of the white paint tips were crooked. I stopped pointing them out after the fourth one, and used my free hand to begin looking for the next closest nail salons here on yelp with 4 or 5 star reviews who could fix the mess as soon as the torture was over. I paid for the full set and because I'm not a jerk I handed her a few bucks cash tip... as I signed the credit card slip she made a point to show me where on the slip I could add an extra tip for her if I felt the cash wasn't enough. I said, no, I'm good, I'll need that cash to have these fixed.I'm on my way now to have this mess soaked off and a new set redone... I will NEVER revisit this place again. The one star is only because zero stars isn't an option. Read Less
