Worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon in my life. So bad that I had to leave without my nails even complete. Hong - the guy doing my nails knew little about gel color and Jenny had to step in to help him paint my nails. Nice people, but not where I would go for my gel color. Based on Yelp reviews, I stopped in from out of town for a last minute mani/pedi. The owner made room for me at the end of her day, and I was delighted. The salon is immaculate and her skills are outstanding. Quality products and a nice choice of colors. Great service at a reasonable price. Had a great regular mani+pedi at NC Nails (cost: $45 before tip). Jenny was my nail tech. Jenny is simply wonderful. First and foremost: This place is clean, hygienic and sterile to the max--tub liners for pedi tubs, all tools sterilized, individual-use containers of body scrub, even sterilized jets for the pedi tubs. Pertinent backstory on Jenny: She's hoping to become a Physicians Assistant someday and is currently taking courses in microbiology; she mentioned that she had taken a course in bacteria and fungal infections (gross) and as a result has an even greater understanding of how paramount high standards of salon cleanliness are. She considers that many of her customers are older and may have compromised immune systems. She gets it. A lot of nail salons don't. Bottom line: it's rare to find someone so knowledgable about and concerned with cleanliness and sterilization at this price point. It's evident that she cares deeply about the health of her customers.On to the actual job she did on my nails: She is great with cuticle work, and scrupulous in the products she uses as well as her methods (case in point: she uses seche vite top coat--widely regarded as the best--but with a different brush, as she doesn't think theirs provides for optimal application). She's a delight to chat with and is absolutely meticulous in her work. I selected a dark burgundy polish, and she went back and cleaned it up with remover after she finished painting to ensure it was absolutely perfect. She made sure I was out of there in time to get to the airport for my flight, and jumped up instantly to fix polish I messed up getting into the car when she saw me running back toward the shop. Oh, and the chairs are great and magazines new.I don't usually review, but this experience was terrific. Make an appointment (particularly necessary during season, obviously). If you see Jenny, she'll remember your name and the details of your life the next time you're in. If I lived here, I'd be a repeat client for sure. Read Less

Wonderful salon! The staff is very sweet and talented. Interior is well designed, clean and relaxing. No tacky decor like some other places. I got a spectacular gel mani and spa pedicure for a very reasonable cost. They have OPI and CND Gel colors (if you're curious) and they also have wifi you can use! They allow walk-ins but I recommend calling in advance and making an appointment. Lots of people tried to walk in while I was there but they weren't prepared to take them - but they could have been if all those people just called before coming. Read Less
