I'd give them a -5 stars Awful, worst nail job I ever had. This place is the worst nail salon I've ever been to and the owner did my nails. I use to own a salon so I know what to look for. First she filed down the length completely, which I asked her not to do. Then she had to keep redoing the pink and white because obviously she didn't know how to do them. I went yesterday with my bff to get acrylic nails. They don't have many regular nail polish options and they didn't sit us next to each other, they put us across the salon from each other! I had Kim doing my nails and I wanted a simple design and she said she couldn't do it so I asked if someone else could and she just mumbled under her breathe so I picked a solid color. She then rushed through the whole process. She cut my natural nails all jagged and then didn't file them she just stuck the tips on them, she made some of the nails too thick with the acrylic powder, some of the acrylic nails were filed crooked, and she cut me on 4 fingers with the drill! It was the worst nail job i've seen and then she reminded me that I couldn't have the design even after I had already picked the solid color. I will not be returning. Read Less

I selected this salon years ago after it dawned on me I didn't have to listen to either asethetician chatter during my manicure or pedicure. It was quiet with the exception of being asked about my preferences and comfort. Music was playing softly and two televisions were silent with both set on closed caption (guests can read what's on the televisions). Additionally, the salon is immaculate. All tools are sealed in packets and opened in front of guests. The decor is also professional yet with a personal touch. Over the years I have observed all new pedicure chair updates, guest chair replacements, and aesthetician chair updates. Every inch of the salon is cleaned every night with all aestheticians working later in the day (6:00 and much later) doing the cleaning with the owners who are on site working side-by-side with their staff. My nails have never looked so beautiful so consistently and the pedicures here are exceptional. This salon has a loyal following as a result. Read Less

Just moved and really needed to get my nails done looked online and it had good reviews so I went in around 9am I say down and asked about the different ways they are used to doing nails off the bat they got a lil defensive I then asked a few questions and the guy Sonny was very rude about it. I really didn't understand because I kept my composure the hole time and he was still very rude. When my nail were dry he just got up and left didn't say I was done or anything then the other worker next to me was like what u need why you still sitting there your done. I was so over this place I payed and left at the end he had the nerve to tell me he is taken 10% off for messing up. Absolutely rude and terrible experience, went in with my gf so she could get a full set and the worker named Sonny was rude and didn't answer any of her questions and didn't listen to her requests at all, if you can avoid this place I suggest you do so. And lastly the nails look like garbage they are rough around the cuticle and have a lot of imperfections don't match and feel weak. Gel polish, pedicure, eyebrow threading= 65. They only take cash tips, so walgreens is two doors down. The staff is very friendly. The services came out good, not perfect, but good. There are some nail places that make your nails perfect ( polish is impeccable, nails are shaped precisely) but this is not the spot if you are looking for that. Nonetheless, pretty good, 4 stars. You may want to consider skipping this place of business.   Not only are the tools used for nail care dirty but the foot baths are filthy.  Picking up on a nail infection is serious and requires medical care to treat.  To top it all off the manager/owner is very rude and does not deserve any local business until his attitude changes towards those who keep him in business.  Overall, I was completely disgusted with the cleanliness of the 'spa', astonished at the poor customer relations, turned off by the payment/tip policy and would NOT recommend this business to anyone. Well deserving to be called a nail spa rather than salon. By far the best place I have been to get my mani/pedi. The spa is extremely clean and put together well. The employees are very respectful as well as professional and there is NO yelling across the room in another language. A real place for relaxing! I've lived in the area over 4 years and have tested a number of nail locations. Sonny, the owner, helped me diagnose an allergic reaction to acrylic nails and suggested silk nails, which they do there. I have since had silk nails done other places and always come back to Star because their people know how to do them correctly. I have always had good service at Star. The pedicures are awesome and the people are very nice. The massage chairs are well taken care of and everything is very clean. I don't know about the experiences of the other reviewers but mine has always been good and I've been going there for 3 years. I'm also picky when it comes to customer service. Read Less

This was one of the worst nail salons I have ever visited. The people were somewhat friendly, but nothing special. After my tech finished my manicure and I examined it closely, I found a lot of problems. I asked to have my nails rounded and I got hideous square nails with slightly frayed edges. There were many various bubbles (at least one per nail). The white paint was slightly smeared on each nail. The paint also got underneath my nails and felt disgusting. Usually when I get my nails done professionally, they look like a smooth sheet of glass. When I looked at my nails this time, they looked bumpy and wrinkly(?). The paint has started peeling and I just got out of the salon thrity minutes ago. Overall, I could have done a better job myself. Now I have to go to fix the botched manicure. Read Less

Very busy location. Normally a 15-20 minute wait even during a weekday afternoon.Staff is friendly, but the quality of serivce depends on the tech. Nail Serivce (Pink & White Acrylic) was great the first time I visited but the second visit I experienced the acrylic coming up in spots and the white tip did not cover my natural nail.Pedicures are ok, nothing special.
