One of the most relaxing and welcoming experiences at Spa E! I was visiting from out of town on a work trip and made a reservation with Brenda the owner. I ended up running late and Brenda and her team were very accommodating to the change and still allowed me to keep my appointment. THE SPA CHAIRS ARE DIVINE! I have never been more relaxed while receiving a pedicure. Also right when I was wishing I had booked a massage while I was there, Vivian came around and asked if I would be interested in adding a head and neck massage to my visit - and I will say it was 100% worth it!! Had a massage there. Therapist is AMAZING! But I super annoyed with 1) owner whose patronizing attitude was totally inappropriate. Thousands of personal small talk questions. As a customer I don’t even want to know that she is an owner! Staff there is to serve guests not to show their status. 2) there are no massage rooms. Massage is done either in the main room along with other treatments or behind a separation where all the noises are heard anyways. The best pedi of my life. (Sorry TMI here) My toenails tend to grow a bit like ingrown nails and I have to get regular, every two weeks, pedis back in Chicago. I happened upon Spa E a couple months back and my toes went a whole month without hurting as they usually would after 2 weeks. Bernadette is your girl at SPA E.  I have been seeing her for Endermologie treatments for at least five years.  She is fully trained and always stays current on new trends and certifications.  She knows exactly what I need without me telling her (she can even tell if i've had a little too much ice cream and its  gone to the wrong places) She'll take the extra step to work a little more and longer on stubborn areas.  She is as professional as they get and a real sweet heart.  I look forward to my treatments every week. Spa E was the Best manicure experience my husband and I have ever had! Beautiful soothing spa ambiance with comfy fully reclining chairs (like all the way back to bed position!), great manicurists who were good and efficient (we literally had 25 minutes as I had a flight to catch) and we got full manicures with massages and toe nail polish change in that time. Really loved the Spa experience! Also, Brenda the owner is an incredible hostess - lent my husband her bike so he could cycle to the ATM and even drove us back to our hotel as I was running late to meet our transportation to the airport. Went to remove gel on my nails and do a basic mani pedi with polish. What an horrible job! I had to tell the girl 4 times how to remove gel before i asked for someone else to do it. The place was nice and clean, the staff was friendly and professional. The facial chairs are super comfortable. The facial I had was the best facial I ever had and I've had many facials in New York! I do not write bad reviews because I realize all businesses can have mishaps. However, when I feel like I was taken advantage of in purpose, I need to warn others. I came in and asked if they had time to do a gel manicure and that I had to be somewhere in about 45 minutes. They said that would be enough time. So they put me in a chair, cucumbers over my eyes, and the girl began the manicure - the one who knew I was in a hurry. Almost when she was done a woman asked if I would like a foot massage and I said sure. No mention of price or that it was even something they would charge for. The foot massage was great but I had to leave after about 10 minutes. When I got my bill it was $114!! The manicure was nothing special, not even a hand massage. The foot rub was about 10 minutes which, it's not her fault I had to leave by why would they trick me in to a $50 foot massage a) without telling me and b) the girl knowing I was in a hurry!!! I had planned on coming back the next day for a pedicure but I cannot give them any more of my money. If you go here, ask what things will cost before you agree to any of them, no matter how small they seem. Read Less

My 18 year old daughter & I made a last minute decision to get our brows waxed. We decided to give this place a try. What a mistake. 1. We entered the door to the far right of the front desk. They asked how they could help us & when I started to answer, he told me that I needed to lower my voice because there were people there getting massages & we shouldn't disturb them. I felt like he told me to shut up.  Why would you have your massage area near the entrance & exit where people tend to have conversations. We certainly felt that we were not as important as the other customers. 2. They were significantly higher in price than at home. I somewhat expected that because it is in SOBE & on Lincoln Road.3. Our technicians did a HORRIBLE job on both of our brows. Note - we both had someone different. Both women. It took about 30 or more minutes & our brows were just done a couple of weeks prior. 4. It seemed that she cared more about selling me the fill in powder than anything else. She didn't even match my color when she applied it. I looked like a clown. Which isn't exactly how you want to look on vacation or any other day. Maybe it was to cover up the botched job that she did. Then she just added it to my order & I had to tell the man at the front that I didn't want it. The same man that told me to be quiet. I would never go here again. If you do, be careful. Quite possibly the worst experience I've had to deal with in a long time. It all began from the moment I stepped inside, the only friendly and welcoming face I saw was that of the lady that did my nails. The owner is quite possibly one of the most disgusting human beings I've ever had the misfortune of having to deal with. She and another woman looked quite disturbed by my presence. They were noticeably disturbed by me speaking spanish. I noticed the way they dealt with other customers that happened to be white! And unfortunately it was VERY different from the way they dealt with me. They almost acted as if I wasn't there. If it would have not been for the lady that did my nails, I would've probably left. My facial experience was amazing! The best facial I have ever had. Taniesha Green was very professional and knowledge about skin care. I walked in and told her I needed a facial, she took the time to assess my skin and then recommended the four layer facial and explained the reason why. After my facial was complete she recommended how I should care for my skin going forward to continue experiencing the instant results I was able to see at the end of our session. Great experience ! I am a huge spa goer and this was the best massage I have ever received. At first I was a little skeptical  about the group spa experience but it did bother me at all once the massage started.The owner is great and very friendly. The massage therapist are very sweet and do a great job with the spa treatmentsI received the Zen treatment which was great and super relaxing. Took away all the tension in my upper body. I was very disappointed by my experience here. Spa E is completely open plan and everyone is just 3 feet from the next customer. I had to discuss the details of my treatment in front of 4 other customers! I felt embarrassed and stressed. This could work if it was a very low price quickie salon, but their prices are high end. I went there for a polish change. Upon entering there was a calming atmosphere immediately. Very modern and it had a sterile, but good feeling. While I was getting my toes done, the owner talked me into a facial. They were running a special. It was just what i needed. Prices are reasonable as well. Best pedicure I have ever had! She was thorough and meticulous in treating my nails and cuticles, and the polish was painted on perfectly. In addition, the foot massage was fantastic. The spa is bright, clean, quiet and relaxing, listening to the sounds of water flowing. The chairs are big, extremely comfortable and fully reclined into a bed. I was in bliss! Priced reasonably. You can have a girls spa party here as they do everything from facials to nails. I would absolutely try their facial next time! Ok so as a salon owner myself I know and recognize a passionate and skilled artist. However when I visited Miami and went to Spa e for a Shellac Manicure that was priced at $45 that was quoted and confirmed I did not receive any of the above. When I received my service as a shellac Mani there were steps skipped in the process of ensuring a durable and long lasting shellac polish. I informed her of what to do and use to help the durability of a long lasting service. Long story... short her customer service was ok but work ethics were not good. So when all was finished And paid for my service it was $65 a gratuity of %18 was added she informed me which still didn't add up to $65 however I paid her. If her service was amazing I wouldn't of minded the fee and whatever else she threw in however today being the fourth day my shellac is peeling and more so where the shellac is over skin and cuticle area is lifting and has bubbles in shellac. I never post negative comments but this was outrageous price for a Shellac Manicure that is bumpy, not durable and bubbling and cost $65 it should be immaculate and flawless. As a salon owner my customer service and work ethics are 200% so I expect the same or at least halfway. For future services if this Spa is visited confirm prices to avoid getting charged an outrageous fee and horrible shellac services. I tried to upload a image of my nails but wouldn't allow me too. I have never felt more bullied or disrespected by someone in my life after making a phone enquiry to this spa today! I was enquiring about a deal that I was told about, however the deal was meant to be for local employees. The staff member I spoke to firstly yelled at me about where I worked then proceeded to bully me trying to get me to tell her who told me about the deal and what hotel I was staying at! She was disgustingly rude and tried to humiliate me and force me to tell her who told me about the deal!! The person who told me had seen a sign and was just trying to be helpful as I told her I was looking for somewhere to get a massage while in town. Ok so this is not the spot for a quick in and out pedicure but it is the place for the most luxurious and relaxing pedi at a reasonable price. This is a spa and not a nail salon but I have gotten my nails done here quite a few times. This time I took advantage of some down time to really enjoy my pedi and opted for a Zone Out mini massage with my pedi. So the pedi itself is relaxing, no chairs where other people's feet have been, you lay down in a cushy chaise and the bath is brought to you while you sip a cucumber water and lay back with cucumber slices on your eyes. The process involves various masques and potions for your tired feet and I drifted off. That itself was good enough. But then my Zone out massage started. I was covered in a warm thick towel and the therapist went to work. Every knot and kink was worked out leaving my entire upper back refreshed. Wow I was in heaven. I completely forgot about my feet but when it was all over and I was propped up in my chaise my toes were polished and lovely and I felt like a new person.The salon is small and the chaises are in the open with a big glass window front. But you forget about all that, it's very relaxing and the massage therapist is outrageously good. I was there about 1.5 hours, a little long but $100 for a pedi and massage, pretty good deal. Both are first class and you'd pay way more in a spa. Only suggestion, therapist should talk less during the massage. It's called Zone Out, remember? And that's what I want to do. I just went back to Spa E ... another amazing experience. In addition to the highly experienced manicure, pedicure, facial and massage therapy staff, I really enjoy the environment. The flowing water and tranquil selection of music complimented my treatments nicely. I also noticed additional new re-clining beds, fresh flowers and various upgrades to the Spa itself.
