Came to Miami for a wedding, had an appointment for a blowout. Awful experience of stylist who didn’t listen and didn’t seem to know what he was doing. Showed him pictures of my hair done how I liked, didn’t seem to register. Tried to get him to do it how I liked, but just wasn’t working , asked for another stylist to fix. Manager was really rude about it and made it seem like I was being difficult and told me I would have to wait half hour (after being there an hour). I co...uldn’t wait as I was going to a wedding. They didn’t charge me, but that didn’t really help as my hair looked awful and I didn’t have any styling tools back at my hotel. When I said on my way out that I was really unhappy with the experience and how it was handled, and would give them a poor rating on yelp, the manager said “I’m sure you do that all the time” as if i was scamming a free blowout! I was visiting Miami for a few days and was severely in need of a blowout and Dry de Luxe really came through! I was able to book a last minute appointment with their website's online booking with no hassle (after becoming frustrated with another salon's booking app).My stylist, Carlen, did an amazing job on my hair! My friend and I REALLY love this place and we've been coming here for years, which is why I'm surprised I haven't already written a review.  I originally found it through groupon and we've been customers ever since.  While we've always had great blow outs from a variety of different stylists here, I am dedicating this review solely to Nevien, the make up artist.  She is beyond gifted and does the most amazing job.  These days it's hard to find someone you can trust and rely on to do a great job every time and this girl does it.  Aside from her amazing skills, she's a pleasure to hang with while you're sitting in her chair.  We would trust her to do our make up for any event we could ever have in life.  We also like the quality of make up the salon carries, it's really good and the price is great too.  We always look forward to and love visiting Dry Deluxe, it's a non-negotiable when we visit Miami. Oh and just a suggestion to the salon... get a Halo light, those things are awesome and help take the best pictures! Take pictures of clients when they're done with their services and light up your social media! Such an awesome experience!!! From the front desk to my stylist Marsha!!! She was so friendly and is AMAZING at what she does!  I was in town for a wedding and am so happy I decided to get my hair done...it stayed all night even in the humidity and wind!  I couldn't decide between two styles but Marsha steered me in the right direction with some retro waves.  I was originally going to have her put in some extensions I brought with me but she did such a great job that I didn't even need them...she made me look like I had so much hair!  The man at the front desk went outside to meet my Uber driver and flag him down bc it was so windy and he didn't want me to have to stand out there! I just moved to Miami looking for a new salon, was so excited to try this place. I had an emergency so I waited until they opened and called to see if I could move my appointment. WORST customer service. The guy on the phone was not professional, so rude, didnt care to keep my business at all. I didn't want to cancel I just needed to move my appointment...apparently they would rather have the $25 cancellation fee today than have my business tomorrow and in the future. This review is totally overdue. Kelly S., my blowout specialist, needs the recognition ASAP. THIS CHICK DOES WICKED AWESOME HAIR FOLKS, BOOK WITH HER!! I was staying in Miami MLK weekend. My hotel was around the corner and this place looked so chic I had to try it. I walked in Monday morning just after they opened (11am-ish). Earliest appointment was noon. Okay, no big deal. There was only one stylist working that morning; totally understandable on a Monday off-peak time. Kelly was the only one working that morning, so I got her totally by chance (worked out really well!) I've done probably only 3 blowouts in my lifetime.  I have NO idea what I want. Does "pretty" and "not a plain Jane" count? Kelly made the process easy.  It's like she telepathically understood what I meant. She's that good. This girl works wonders. I have never seen my hair so gorgeous. My SO's jaw dropped when I came out and said I looked like a model. Way to make a girl blush. Kelly was also very sweet in the process. I'm normally pretty quiet/introverted but she made the conversation go smoothly and unforced. She's got a down-to-earth personality and only recommended me products she genuinely believed would tame my crazy frizzy hair. (which totally worked - I now own a few moisture Pureology products). The best part is she tried to make my curls last till the evening. Offered me a hair net and used some hairspray without going overboard (cause she knows nobody likes crunchy hair!). The owner of this place is absolutely disgusting and rude. I had an appointment booked for later today for two people. My friend got food poisoning and we had to take her to Baptist Hospital. That being said I was going to honor my appointment and asked for a courtesy cancellation two hours prior compared to the 24 hour policy. I explained that she was planning to attend even trying to push through her sickness and ultimately she ended up going to the hospital at approx. 3:30 pm and our hair appointment was for 6:30 pm. The man was so rude and looking to loose two good repeat customers for 40.00 damn dollars because of an emergency hospital room visit. I have been to this salon on two other occasions and paid for multiple services and was very gracious with my tips because the staff was great. I even went as far as to refer other people I know to go here.. now I'm regretting that! Although I have proof of the visit and let him know the man was not budging and gross. Now out of principle I will have to fight for the damn 40.00 bucks and not because  I need it. It's because of the disgusting service, classless, non-empathic man running a damn hair salon that's supposed to be beautiful experience.There's beautiful salons all over sobe and dry bar just opened on 16th st which is just three blocks. First and foremost this was the best experience I have had at a hair salon in a while. The location was perfect and easy to find. The minute I walked in I was greeted by Hiliary and Fallon who introduced themselves and immediately made me feel welcome. It was my first time here, and I'm very happy with the results. Jose did my hair which consisted of a blow dry and the "beach hair" look. First time I tried that look and it came out amazing! He blow-dried my hair super quick which is HARD, because I have lots of hair and it's long too. I'll definitely be back. Also doesn't hurt that they have late appointments (mine was at 9pm), and serve Prosecco!I had to deduct one star because I was accidentally burned by the hot brush during my sitting. I remember the days of doing my own hair and makeup, never again! I come here atleast 4 times a week just for my hair by Marsha, Nicola and Mike alone !!
