I’m torn on this one. I left the salon feeling amazing, my hair and make up looked perfect, but within 20 minutes of arriving at my event my lashes began to peel off and I spent the night feeling embarassed and self conscious. My stylist was great and very talented and I planned on leaving a glowing review but I ended up pretty disappointed. Read Less

Great with Hair, Terrible with Make UpI went to Bdry to get ready for a wedding.  The hair stylist did a very good job and the style lasted all night.  It was elegant but not over done.  The make-up artist used so much make up on me that I came out looking like Tim Curry from Rocky Horror.  I didn't say anything at the time because I needed to get out of there to start getting ready.  I didn't want her to try to fix it or anything--just needed to leave.  $60 and I basically ran in the house to wipe it off my face and do my own make up for the wedding. Frederick is an amazing colorist. I came to him to correct a very bad dye job and he is a miracle worker. I've been going to him for over 1 year now and my hair has never looked better. I do not recommend this hair salon because the hair dresser I had was not nice at all. She did not cut my hair very well. One side was longer than the other side. I had to ask her to show me the cut behind With a mirror and i had to ask her basically everything! Came across Bdry while searching for salons that do braiding in Miami Beach. I was not disappointed one bit! Tanya did just what i asked for and she was super neat and quick! my 2 french braids were under $40, you get 20% the first time you check in through here. I had an important late night dinner and needed a last minute blow out. The salon called me back and fit me in. Honestly, they shouldn't have. I'm in my hotel room curling my hair because my "blow out style" fell out after ten minutes. Everyone was very nice and kind. However, my hairstylist didn't understand what I wanted so it was hard to communicate. Also I felt like he was on a time crunch rushing to get done. Admittedly I don't speak Spanish very well, and he was a sweetheart, but the fact that I couldn't tell him what I wanted and he didn't understand that I wanted him to stop undoing my curls ruined the blowout. I'm really disappointed because this salon had great ratings. I feel like I just wasted $40. I hope this was a one off but I'm truly upset that I spent $40 and 45 minutes just to get back to my hotel and redo my hair. If the salon could give me a refund that would be great and I'll likely contact them for it. Again, I don't think this experience is indicative of the salon in its entirety and I hope the salon understands my request and experience. Read Less

Maritza was sooooo sweet! I showed her a photo of the braids I wanted, super simple 2 french braids and I wanted them to be super tight. She was so friendly and said no problem at all. A lovely little blow dry bar in Miami Beach. Very friendly staff and they certainly put up with some stuff from my family :) Only complaint was that we weren't treated like a special group. 4 of us came together before a wedding, which we mentioned, but we were all seated separately around the place instead of together, and we weren't offered champagne or anything else to make it a special experience. I was in Miami for the weekend and searched for a place to get a good blowout and found this place with great reviews. I was a bit hesitant about going here since when it comes to my hair I only trust Dominican hairdressers. My hair came be very unruly and wild, in order to achieve a sleek straight look it needs to be done by someone who truly knows what they're doing.  After spending a few days with wild hair due to the insane heat and humidity, I made an appointment for a blowout. The place is very clean and sleek looking, the receptionist was friendly and offered me a drink when I arrived. I then met the stylist Adam who took me to the back to wash my hair.  Again, I was a bit nervous about him being able to handle my crazy hair but he reassured me that he knew what he was doing.  He blew out my hair and then finished it off with the flat iron to create waves. I was beyond happy with the results, my hair was bouncy, shiny and super soft.  The best part was that my hair lasted quite a bit despite the humidity. I would definitely recommend Adam!! Read Less

I live right around the corner, so when trying to find a hair and makeup appointment for my engagement shoot, convenience wise, bdry was my best bet. I was excited to see the good reviews here and even more happy with my results!Candace did a phenomenal job on my hair and makeup. She took her time, even going a little over the appointment slot, but the end result was well worth it. I felt gorgeous and got numerous compliments. So glad to have this in the neighborhood! And for $80 for hair and makeup, it was cheaper than glam squad and most other blow bars I looked at. Read Less

Wow. What a disappointment. Having frequented DryBar prior to many occasions, I am familiar with a good blowout. Unfortunately, this place was really bad. I went with my mom, as we were getting ready for a black-tie wedding. The woman who did my hair did a fine job, but the guy who tried to do her hair LITERALLY couldn't get the job done. He was clumsy, didn't know how to use the tools (I had to point out that the blow dryer wasn't working), and was unfamiliar with how to make curls with a curling wand. It looked like an 8 year old had done her hair and it had to be entirely redone by the woman who had done my hair...at this point we were totally running late as we had been in the salon for HOURS! I am not sure how they stay in business. They didn't even realize how bad it was going until I demanded that the guy stop and my woman take over (she was done; he wasn't even done blow-drying and we started at the same time). My mother is lovely and paid the full price with a generous tip (something I'm not sure I would have done). Cannot recommend. You simply can't trust them to blowout your hair in a timely manner so that it looks good.*One extra star for the woman who finally fixed our hair. Read Less
