I went to Rick’s a couple years ago to get highlights and a trim. The coloring was beautiful but the haircut ended up being at least 2 inches cut off and uneven. I gave it another go around because I’ve seen great reviews recently. Biggest mistake I’ve made. I went yesterday to my hair colored back to my natural hair as well as a slight trim. I had some damaged pieces from a coloring a year ago that were growing out so I asked her to trim those damaged pieces and told her I didn’t want layers. Again, coloring was great. The trim was a disaster. She cut it super fast, ended up cutting more than 2 inches, and rushed me out without a blow dry because her next client was waiting. I got home and dried my hair and saw that my hair was drastically uneven as well as there is a layer through the middle of my haircut where she tried to “blend” my damaged pieces with my hair. I had to go back and have her fix the unevenness of my hair. But the awkward layer in my hair makes me not want to go out in public. If you are getting a trim DO NOT GO TO RICKS ISLAND SALON. I went to Andrea and she did a fabulous job! On the recommendation of a friend of a friend, I went to her! She shortened my shoulder length hair to a long stacked bob-style and I have had many complements...in fact one visiting friend said she was going back home to have her hair cut the same way! Since I didn't have the the time for a full pedicure I had the mini-pedi which the website advertising as being a condensed version of the the traditional pedicure.  I've been getting pedicures for over a decade so I am hoping the woman doing my nails just forgot a few steps since I only got a quick scrub and a coat of polish. Do not have Andrea cut your hair. She does not listen to you and does whatever she wants. She was rude, unapologetic, and told me to go to someone else to FIX her mess. I went to trim bottom of shoulder length hair and she cut it chin length and feathered sides . Unruly mess !!Read Less

well , i just have to say, that i came in this salon as a brand new client , not knowing anyone, extremely nervous , as most women are , and i'm absolutely obnoxious if my hair doesn't turn out,! (being tremendously fussy about every strand of colour, every inch of the cut etc) , i was overwhelmed with happiness and overjoyed when my expectations where met at every level!!!!!!! the standard of professionalism , the class, the friendliness , etc was top notch!!!!. MY HAIR WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! THE BEST IT HAS EVER LOOKED IN A LONG LONG TIME!!!!!! I RECOMMEND THIS SALON A !000%!!!! AND my hair dresser was "GABE"!!!!!! he is ""AWESOME""!!!! I had a Shellac manicure done by Krista and she did a beautiful job. Very pleasant person, easy to talk to and fun. She was prompt and eager to help with color choice and designs. Left me completely satisfied and my nails looked perfect! Gabe has been doing my hair for a long time and always does the best job with color and cut. Very personable, makes you comfortable in the salon and can help you achieve a classic look or update you with something modern and fun. I was recommended to go to him after multiple people told me he did an amazing job with highlights. Never disappointed!I see other reviewers commenting on prices but it is much more reasonable than any comparable salon in Naples. You get quality services at a fair price! Read Less

Went for a pedicure on vacation.  Elaina was the one who gave me my pedicure and she was very nice and did a great job.  She offered me something to drink on several occaisions and she really knew what she was doing.  We had a nice conversation about places to go and see and she was very helpful on things to do and places to go. I would definately go back and ask for Elaina (Not sure of the spelling).My only complaint which is minor was that the chair was not the most comfortable chair I have sat in.  No reclining.  Again not a big deal but I have been in some chairs that will massage and put you to sleep they are so comfortable. I recently decided to donate my hair, 10 inches is the required length. I donate about every 2 years, but this time having just moved to SW Florida, i did not personally know any of the salons or stylists in the area...so naturally i was nervous! i had seen Rick's salon on Marco Island, and decided to give it a try...i am so glad i did! Courtney was my stylist, and she did a great job! We discussed the desired length and after a quick measurment...the hair was off! Donating regularly has made me realize it is so much better to do more chopping and less talking, and deal with styling after the hair has been removed- to avoid getting cold feet! She did a wonderful job, and left me with a very flattering hair cut that has had fabulous reviews! normally i am super nervous before the cut, and extremely remorseful after the realization of my loss sets in...this was not the case with this years donation! in fact i experienced the exact oppisite...i love the hair, and am so glad i can donate my locks to a worth cause!! special thanks to Ricks- the lady's at the counter for pointing me in the direction of the bar...but especially courtney...i finally like my hair short!
