I have been a customer at Vista Nails for 6 years, but no more. I got the worst manicure of my life and if I could give 0 stars, I would! In all fairness, the employee named Lisa gave me a very good pedicure, but the manicure part of the program was a total disaster. I needed to have gel nails removed, as I wanted to give my nails a break. I had only had gel on for about 2 months, so my nails were still in very good shape. The proper way to remove gel nails is to soak for a couple of minutes in acetone and wrap in tin foil before attempting to remove the gel. It was getting late, and to speed things up, my fingers were soaking in acetone while still getting a pedicure. After a couple minutes of soaking, an employee named Tina comes up to the pedicure chair and starts filing away with the dremel, and before I know it, 8 out of 10 fingernails had been filed down too far, and it was uncomfortable, and I asked her to stop with the dremel. There were pink ridges where she filed too deeply into the top of my nails. My nails ended up super jagged, paper thin, and are a mess. I asked Tina if my nails would grow back out normally, without all the deep ridges. She told me to not do anything to them for 30 days! I go to get a manicure and need 30 days to heal from it? I think not. Spa services should not require a recovery time! I told Lisa (who should solely stick to pedicures), that my nails were still rough in several places, and I don't think she understood what I was saying. I left without even putting clear polish on, and went home and filed them down myself. The next day, I called the manager and told her I didn't think I should have to pay for a service where my nails were damaged. Of course, they blamed the salon who put the gel nails on, which isn't true, because they didn't file down too far on the tops of my nails like Vista Nails did! She said she would give me a refund. When I went to get my refund, a man named Lee treated me like I was the town scammer, and told me I was a problem and to find another salon! They are not qualified to do a good job on gel nails, DON'T GO HERE!! Also, lots of strong personalities in there, and everyone is in everyone's business. FIND A DIFFERENT SALON, THEY DON'T DESERVE YOUR BUSINESS! Three weeks later, my fingernails still look like an embarrassing mess, as they are short, uneven, weak and damaged.
