I went in with very terrible nails from a botched manicure at another place. My nail tech reshaped my natural nails and gave me a new SNS manicure to help my nails grow again. Love this place!!! Friendly people very clean and they are beyond organized. The owner is very friendly all the nail techs are friendly as well. They're very affordable, customer service beyond great, love how they do my nails and my pedicure. (FYI)They have very comfortable seats when you do your pedicure ! Absolutely love this place. I recently moved to Maitland (May) and spent hours looking for a place. I spontaneously decided to try Lake Ave Nails when I dropped off my dry cleaning a few doors down (idk good vibes and a nice yelp review). I loved the service I got! Soon friends were recommending places so I tired others in the area because they talked them up so much. I quickly asked myself why I had left a sure thing after an appointment or two which were quickly rushed through, subpar, or just uncomfortable. I went back today and was reminded what satisfaction feels like! Yet again they provided only the best. I had no appointment but was quickly serviced. Best part, my technician did not rush through (I hated this about other places I went to). She took her time on my massage and was a total perfectionist. I've seen them go quickly for people in a rush but it was nice to have someone focus on their work and do their absolute best rather than rush through my service to try to service someone else. Called and they said be here in 5 minutes, I told them 10. Got there and had a terrible  experience. Got my half  pedi they got busy and had another lady take over my pedi. Was able to call and make a last minute appointment for a mani/peditoday and had the pleasure of being cared for by Van.  She was kind and thorough.  Everyone was friendly and, just as so many have mentioned, but the time I left, everyone knew my name.  I also found myself in the situation where my daughter from Chicago called and I took the time to speak with her while I was in the pedicure chair.  I don't usually sit and talk on the phone in a place of business but everyone was kind and understanding as I continued to speak quietly to my daughter.The pricing was much higher than what I usually spend, but I did get the "upgraded" pedicure experience and SNS manicure.  Normal pricing is probably much more in line with the industry standards.I will definitely be back. The girls are wonderful. Always welcoming and offer drinks of wine/water. There is one gentleman on Sundays that is horrible. He tells me my nails are ugly because they're short, if he does them my nails are always uneven and the paint job is the worst. I live right across the street so it's easy access for me. I have noticed that since i've been going they seem to be a little more lenient on how well they do. They don't do what I ask, example, I got a new full set around the beginning of the year and they know that I like short nails (as i work on a computer all day and long nails get in my way) and they made them so long, even after cutting them multiple times. I ended up going home and immediately filling them down myself and repainting them because I couldn't even text with how long they were! Each time i go it seems my nails get worse and worse. Pedicures are ALWAYS amazing though. They have several girls who are wonderful at doing pedicures. I've been going there for over a year now, but I'm going to try somewhere else that does what i want them to do and charges less.. Read Less

This is by far the best nail place I have ever gone to. It is always super clean and THEY DO AMAZING WORK! Every time I have gone they have done nothing but the best on my hands and feet. This was my second visit to this nail salon. My 11 year old and I went to get our nails done. Yes they did a good job but this place is really expensive for NAILS! My mani/pedi was $55 ( which I think is ALOT considering the competition up and down the street) and her mani was $25.  I guess they have a deal if you're 10 or under but she just turned 11 and therefore I was charged full price for her tiny little nails. She even wanted a French and they said her nails were too small to do French, but they still  charged me the full adult price. So after tip for both of us it was a whopping $95!!!! Hoping this mani lasts a while, considering the price. Next time we get our nails done I will ask the price UPFRONT for both of us. FYI. I did call the salon to double check my charge bc I did not take my receipt and it seemed awfully high. After telling her of my disappointment with the prices, especially for my daughters nails,  all I was offered was an "I'm sorry".  I guess they don't need my business. Read Less

What an absolute delight! I had such a relaxing and professional mani/pedi ever! The chairs recline! Like really really recline which is delicious while the massage your legs! The salon is very well kept, their instruments are all packaged and sanitized... which is a MUST for me.  All the woman have fun and enjoyable personalities! Had my nails done in the morning and liked the results and the salon so much that I went back in the afternoon for a pedicure--and this was my first visit. Miki and Mary, and the rest of the wonderful women at Lake Avenue Salon are authentically friendly, the place is spotless, the nail menu is fairly-priced with a large selection of options and colors. Lake Avenue Nail Salon is in a very convenient location for me, but that  is not the reason why I have my nails done there, but it's wonderful that it's so close by. I would gladly travel any distance to this salon because the atmosphere is warm, friendly, everyone remembers your name and greets you when you enter. I just love the wonderful welcoming feeling I get at this salon. The salon is clean, and they are very attentive to sanitizing everything!!!! I had wonderful nail service by Tina, Van and Ana. Ana has continued to do my nails always able to accommodate my schedule. I started out with gel treatment which was lovely, however, my nails aren't very strong and would eventually break.  Ana recommended I go with the SNS process to insure that my nails would look great, stay strong and last long--and she was 100% right!!!! I took a risk by just blindly walking into this salon because I live super close to it. I was a bit afraid, too, because it was my second time in a nail salon ever. I was pleasantly surprised, and I have been coming back for all of my nail needs! I think I've been going there for almost two years now? Time flies!This salon is always impressively clean, and they clearly autoclave and otherwise sterilize their tools. (They open autoclaved tools right in front of you!) They clean pedicure chairs and manicure stations after each customer, as well as ensure their own hands are clean and neat.  They use some disposable, one-time-use items, too, particularly in their waxing room -- the papers and whatnot used to catch wax and/or to lay limbs on, the "popsicle sticks"/spatulas, etc.All staff are quite friendly and often very funny. They will remember your name, and if you come often enough, you'll know their names: Ana, Lee, Miki, Tammy, Vanh, Vee, Heather, Tina. I gravitate toward Tina, but all of them are quite good!The prices are definitely reasonable for a salon/spa. I used to be a broke college kid, and I'm not flush with cash now, but it's pretty easy to budget for this place. Plus, they offer you a free drink while you're getting your nails/wax/whatever done! Who knew this little salon,2 mins away inside of a little plaza. I came here by rare coincidence. I just had another salon, putted a brand new pink-white set and it got yellow and chipped. It looked horrible. So when i walked into " Lake Ave" i had low expectations. Well, was i wrong.....I was welcomed in with a smile and a great attitude. I described and showed the problem ,caused by another place. And immediately ,one of the gils approached me. She was quiet, polite and very sweet. Her name was Heather. She was fast, professional and whats important, very genuine and honest. She repaired all the nails, she putted nice ,even filling, and a quality gel shine. She takes her time but she is fast as well! Needless to say, i get lots of compliments plus her nails always STAY WHITE, ALWAYS!!! Lake Avenue Nails is a clean little nail salon located on 17-92 and Lake Ave next to Copper Rocket and Brown's Deli. It is well lit, clean, and the staff is extremely friendly. I've been a few times now, and each time they have treated me so well! They use an autoclave and sterilized packages are opened in front of you. The pedicure chairs recline as well as massage, and they're super relaxing. Each time I've been, the technicians all have matching colored shirts (blue). I've seen several different technicians now, and they've all done an excellent job on my nails. Pricing is pretty standard for nail salons. Read Less

I have been here 3 times and each time a different problem. Different prices depending on who you know;on my last visit a customer walked in 15 minutes after I had been waiting for a broken nail, she was taken ahead of me and not charged. I go in today for a fill and a broken nail, $30 for the fill, $3 to fix the broken nail and another $3 to cut my nails!! I was told upon leaving 2 wks ago that a fill was $17, now it changes as I am sitting there ready to go. This salon will nickel and dime you each chance they get, there are several girls here who have horrible attitudes and lack customer service skills. Nice little nail spa! Went with three other friends and each of us enjoyed a mani/pedi. The owner explained the sanitized chairs which were very comfy! He also explained the filtering system and even though I couldn't quite tell you what it's all about I can say this germaphobe is satisfied =)Tina was my nail tech and for the first time I think I found someone that understands the word gentle. Mani/pedi's are not really a relaxing past time for me since I'm sensitive to all the nips and scrubs but Tina's treatment will have me coming back. Read Less
