This place gets 0 stars from me, but 1 was the minimum to post anything!!! I did my nails last week, and within 1 week had two acrylic nails break off. I went to this location because it was convenient and near my job. After going in the first day, they fixed one nail but didn't seem to pleased to have o do it. Over the weekend when the second one broke and went in to show them, the gentleman at the counter proceeded to tell me it was my fault that my nail broke. I was at work so I told him I would return tomorrow. I have not gone nor will I go after he rudely started speaking to the girls in another language. I'll take my business elsewhere. I have been doing my nails for years and have never had issues with my nails breaking off at the ends or acrylic coming off. My initial experience with them was rushed. The gentleman who did my nails did not have me wash my hands, or wipe off the powder. He did not apply a boat or top coat to my gel color. For their prices there service IS NOT WORTH IT. Mani and pedi very unprofessionally done. No callous or dead skin removal on pedi, ragged cuticles and unevenly filed nails on mani. The nail tech was very sweet, but Instructions were met with smiles and nods but ignored because she didn't speak English well enough to understand what is being asked of her. While this place was clean enough, I wouldn’t recommend going there. My friend got a great gel manicure, but I wound up with someone who was pretty mediocre. My nails immediately looked grown out because she didn’t get close enough to the cuticle, which I could live with. But the chip happened just 5 days after the gel manicure, whereas most of my gel manicures have lasted at least 10 days or so. I wouldn’t go again—$30 for 5 days is not such a great deal. Read Less

I went with a group. They weren’t organized, they forgot one of the girls. The lady that did my nails rushed me to get one of the girls done. It was the worse quality nails. She did a horrible job. Bigger than that of normal small time nail salon and will almost to always meet up as much as possible to the needs of their customers, highschool teen discounts, child proof safety and fun, and stress relief and some wine included for the adults, has a lot to offer, and most to majority are usually satisfied customers, sometimes there would be a bad or unhappy customer but it's mostly because of dust or accidental chipping on nails. Provides a salon like sensation and quality service that is worth the time and enjoyment that rules over to the most of very rare of few accidents that so rarely again happens. Expectations is more than just the look of things, and this nail salon conquers to that peak. Very famous among so many that the appointments are insane, if one doesn't make one early enough, might have to schedule one to even the next week or month, many helpful hands making anyone feel almost like royalty. NEVER AGAIN!! I called prior to going and they told me $30 for a shellac manicure and pedicure and when I was ready to check out they charged me $50. The owner argued with me that he would've never told me $30, while I was telling him that that's the only reason I even decided to show up. My mother in law also went and we had to argue with the guy doing her nails for him to clip them... he kept saying the clipper wouldn't clip because her nails are too thick...yet, she always gets them clipped. This place was my worst experience ever. First there was no liner for the tub and I had to ask for one but I can let that slide. What I cant let slide is that they served me wine in a dixie cup!!!! Currently (as I type this) I'm receiving the most laziest pedicure EVER!!! I was referred to Risa Nail by a good friend and the past few experiences has been very uncomfortable for me. I moved here to the Lutz area from out of state. I was looking for a new salon to get my nails done. I visited this place because it was close to home. I went and had a mani with a woman named Cindy. They came out very nice and I was happy. I call back about 3 weeks later to schedule to put on tips with Cindy since she had did a good job the first time. Cindy wasn't there and was on maternity. They suggested I come in and see anyone at the salon since everyone was "good" there.  Long story short, I saw a gentleman named Jacky and my nail is crooked. I wanted to die. Okay so I always come to this place but the past few times have been horrible. They are always rushing and unprofessional. It seems as though because of their increased business size they are more about customers versus quality. My nails are  is suppose to be a coffin shape and the tops are uneven and the sides are crooked and not shaped well at all. I have been paying tons of money to this company since I was in high school and I'm very disappointed. Im looking for a new place now because I have been coming here for so long. As soon as I walked in they were very welcoming and got started immediately. They worked on my gel manicure and polish change on my toes simultaneously. I have been patronizing this business for years and will never, EVER return. I went in this past Monday afternoon with my Mom who lives in the area and wanted to treat me to our usual Mani/Pedi since I was in town. She had "T," her usual technician and was very pleased with her services, as usual. However we were both furious over the horrendous mani/pedi I suffered through. It was easily the worst salon experience of my life, and by absolutely NO ONE's definition, a manicure and pedicure. The young woman who did my services did a terrible, terrible job. I could have painted my nails and toe nails better myself. It truly looks like a toddler did it. The polish is uneven and covers my cuticles. My cuticles WERE NOT TOUCHED. She applied no lotion, nor oil. It was a polish change at best, assault at worst. The pedicure was so so miserable. I still have two feet covered in calluses, even though we asked for (AND WERE CHARGED FOR) the "deluxe pedicure" which includes callus removal. She did not trim my toe cuticles either, and applied the "scrub" with the softness of a feather. She was BARELY touching me. It was so uncomfortable and somehow took forever. There were multiple times I almost just said stop forget it. I made my discomfort known several times and had to continuously point out the errors in the polish which she had to keep fixing. If my mother weren't a regular there I would have thrown such a bigger fit. There were about a dozen other technicians standing around doing nothing and they let me sit there and get a terrible service instead of stepping in and offering me a different person. They then had the audacity to charge me for the full pedicure and polish change (after arguing with here that I did NOT receive a manicure). I asked if my technician was new and T told us that she was new, but from California and experienced. I DON'T THINK SO. That individual absolutely has not been trained in this industry and I would bet money is unlicensed. Word to the wise, I think her name was Anna. I have been coming here since I was a teenager almost and I even had my wedding nails done here. I hate when places do not own up to the responsibility of backing up the quality of their services. If you are the owner or manager reading this you should not have accepted our money and should absolutely offer us a free service at the very least. When women chose where to get their nails done, they are making a choice about where to relax, unwind, and really treat themselves. This was the least relaxing time I have ever had at a nail salon and was truly disheartened and felt ripped off. I hope my Mother finds a new place to spend her very hard earned pennies. A customer for about 7 years now. Not a super fancy place, but adequate for the price. The staff is really friendly and try to do a good job always. I have no complaints. I will agree that I'm not sure about their sterilization techniques, but I go there every 2 to 3 weeks and never had any skin or nail issue. That is the main reason I continue to go there and don't try another salon. I'm a pharmacists and see nail fungus almost daily from nail salons. Never had to wait more than 5 to 10 minutes and when I'm in a hurry they do my manicure, pedicure and eyebrows at the same time. Listen to them speak their language doesn't particularly upset me. Initially my experience was very good huge selection of colors no wait and professional service. However and this is huge they charged me twice for my nails 54.00 and then a second charge to my credit card for 50.00. Every time I go I say I'll never go back (it's just so close).  I've never had to wait and the people are pleasant.  But I've never seen them sterilize their tools or clean the foot baths with a cleaner.   My pedis have been fine but the last two chipped.  I'm mostly concerned about the cleanliness. This was my first and last time in this location. What an awkward experience. I wanted to treat my 12 year old for a simple mani-pedi for her first time and I thought...this place looks nice, let check them out. But they were just plain bad, my pedicure was the most simple and fast pedicure I've ever gotten. I could have done better myself, I had to turn on the message chairs for myself and my daughter and when I did the nail techs working on us gave each other a look and it was just awkward, like maybe we're not supposed turn the chairs on?!? AVOID this place. This not a spa. This is not even a decent nail salon. I went here a couple of when I moved to Tampa three years ago. I was not impressed, and was not happy with service, but I would have given it a two star back then. I was in urgent need to get my nails done last week. So I thought I would give this Rose nails & spa another chance, after three years. Wrong! I was greeted upon arrival by owner, who guided me to a pedicure chair & filled the little tub with water. Then the wait time started! I was sitting there with my feet in water, for 25 minutes. Meanwhile 3 employees finished with their customers & disappeared to the back. The owner told me it will be a couple of minutes. Really?! Since when a couple of minutes means 25 minutes? Finally a nail tech came from the back & started working on my feet. The water by this time was already cold. This is the real bad part: he took the stainless steel told from a little caddy, and spayed something on them. It was not alcohol. It smelled real bad & strong. I couldn't believe it. So they don't get these tools sterilized the right way?! Right there I told him not use those tools on me, and not to touch the cuticles. He finished the pedicure in less than 20 minutes. Obviously he did a very subpar job. Then handed me over to another tech to get my nails done. I told her the same thing: don't use those tools. Don't touch cuticles. This tech lady didn't even say one word to me during the whole time she was working on my nails. She just pointed at her eyebrows once & said " eyebrows?!"to which I answered NO. Her white uniform was covered in stains. I get a mani/ pedi every two weeks. Very honest review:Pros:Several chairs and staff = no wait.Huge selection of nail polish.Friendly/familiar staff - the men are definitely better at pedis.Prices are reasonable.I enjoy watching the travel channel on the large flat screens.Located near my house.Cons:Ive seen them use the cheese grater device on clients.  Pretty sure that's illegal.Pedi chairs could use an update.Staff talk their native language openly, alienating the customer who has no idea what their saying.I have no idea if the staff are licensed or not. I came here for the first time this week along with four other girls. In todays economy thats a decent amount of business for a thursday afternoon.You would think someone would be a little more appreciative right?Apparently not. He overcharged all five of us without telling us before that it would cost extra since the additional pricing wasn't posted anywhere.A mani-pedi is listed as for $30 together... then why was she charged $40? Because its an addition $5 each just for FRENCH TIPS?And a nail design that costs ten dollars but was only a single color with a few lines.
