This salon gave me a TERRIBLE INFECTION--I endured excruciating pain as a result of a manicure here, and weeks later I'm on my 3rd and 4th antibiotics. (The manicurist took the tools out of a pouch, as she should--but I have no idea whether they were sterilized before they went in there.) On top of all that, the shellac dryers at my station weren't working properly, so the manicurist kept telling me to keep my hands in way too long; the polish was loose; the manicurist made a mess, and she hurt me, too. I've had manicures here before--we have a yearly family vacation in the area--and never had any of these problems. NEVER AGAIN. Beware: it's worth driving into Sarasota or Bradenton. Very good the color came out very nice!! The gel it excellent it's completely dry in 3 minutes! They massaged your feet and legs for a long time whitch was nice for a pedicure. They made my vacation looking beautiful again Read Less

I was previously happy with this salon, however I went there last week for a pedicure and ended up with a major infection in both big toes. I had to go to the doctor and get antibiotics. Hopeful the medicine will clear it up but it has been very painful. Please tell all your friends NoT to go here!!!! Read Less

SO glad I went. I was a little hesitant because of a couple of reviews. Really Happy I went anyway. It was great. I love my pedicure and I am very picky. A young man did my pedicure and he was excellent at massage and wonderful at shaping my toenails. They are beautiful and the color is applied perfectly. I came in for a shellac polish change. My nails were already shaped, as I had a full on manicure last week. They looked great. I told the tech doing my nails that I didn't need anything done but a polish change and she still started shaping my nails. I am very particular about how they look and they were so off angle I ended up taking the file and shaping them myself. I agree that the polish here seems watered down and it took three coats to show color. The polish was not applied evenly and she left pieces of my previous color on, which was darker and showed through. I love the color I chose and they had a good shellac selection, but there were clumps of polish hanging off the end of my nail after the final clear coat was applied. I assumed the tech would file that off at the end, but when she didn't I had to call over someone else to fix and get my nails to look halfway decent before I left. Was still charged full price after all of this and unfortunately would not recommend this experience to anyone else. Read Less

Customer service is huge for me. When you enter an establishment that you plan to spend your money in you should feel welcomed and also be acknowledged. My nail tech, Nyla, was a sweetheart and made me feel comfortable. Natalie (the owner from my understanding) however, did not crack a smile or greet me. We had an awesome experience here! Took my mom and sisters and all 4 of us had kind technicians who were both engaging and thorough. The massage chairs were new and comfortable. The leg massage was about 7 minutes long and included. I don't like to get my finger nails painted so the technician suggested I get my nails buffed. They look awesome! Closest place to most residences in longboat key & very conveniently located next to the only grocery store on the island. Came in to get brows waxed & manicure. My nails look like what they would have looked like if I did them at home. The only time the woman doing my nails talked to me was to criticize the length of my nails, the shape of my cuticles, my eyebrows, or my toe nail color. My sister had a similar experience she was getting hers done at the same time. Tools and facilities looked older and dirty would have expected more for the price that we paid and the location. Not worth the money. Nail tech didn't ask what shape I wanted my nails. My nails were rounded when I went in, the nail tech filed them into square shape. He didnt paint my whole nail, they were empty gaps on the sides of my nails. He seemed to be in a rush and not take his time. The color I chose required more than one coat since it was more sheer. My nails is translucent in certain spots, you also notice the uneven layering. They also did not have a good selection of polishes, a lot of them seemed watered down as well. I go to nail salons cause its hard for me to paint my nails well, with this service I could have done a better job myself, and saved the money. Nails of Longboat Key is a waste of time and money. The polish selection is dated and disorganized. The price of a manicure would pricey (though acceptable) if the polish stayed on for longer than two days. The fact that it doesn't is most likely because it has been watered down to the point of being unusable. The only reason this place gets a third star is because of the excellent eyebrow tweezing.
