Second time coming to Barry's beauty in Rosedale I will never support this business at all. You try your best to support black owned business but the people they have working for them is terrible. My first time going to this shop in BK was last year I believe. I got a full set gray ombré it was horrible I was charged 75$ for the disaster. Nikki tried to play me and said that's how the nails suppose to look like I'm a rookie and like I don't do my nails on a regular. I was so pissed off i just left and immediately contacted Barry. I showed him the pics of the horrible job and he said to me the nails are not done right at all and the conversation furthered, he than told me to go back and get it re done. The lady charged me $80 for french nail, that I didn't even want, after I told her it was my first time at a nail salon. She did not give me what I wanted, but what she wanted and made me pay ahead of time. I wanted my nails done for prom and my nails were supposed to be discounted. She took 3 hours to do my nails and toes. She offered to redo my nails for more money. Her and her business partner was rude and her partner told her not to redo my nails. They were very disrespectful and I am still a minor. She even told me my rhinestones were from the dollar store. Her rhinestones came off less than 24 hours after putting them on...She hung up on my mother and I when I found out she overcharged me. Her website prices are a lot cheaper than what she charged me. The dirtiest and the most unprofessional place there is. Crystal said the most disgusting and inappropriate things in front of me and my mother . Frankly looked like she was stoned that night she did my nails. Did chrome charged me $116 and polish peeled off in 2 days . Place is a joke . The funniest is they charge you to make an appointment. Penny is a Awesome nail technican!!!! However, the owner and his 'partner' are the most rude and unprofessional people I have ever meet! I totally try to support all black own businesses but this one will be scratched of my list! His temperament and height are about the same, five feet even and he lacks customers service etiquette. I had an appointment on a Wednesday but broke my nail so I walked in on a Sunday. Five hours later I get home and my stones fall off and cuticles were full of acrylic to the point they became irritated. I had to go back the next day to have them fixed. Paid $80, my nail tech was very nice and thanked me for waiting (although I had no choice since I soaked everything off) but I see they are only used to doing tips and not natural nails.
