Old spa chairs close together. This is NO SPA!!! I bought the most expensive manicure and pedicure with gel polish. The gel polish which is extra took the majority of the pedicure time (one hour). It was not a spa pedicure. The massage was a joke. The manicure was also quick and I was charged $25.00. I didn’t get any type of exfoliation etc. it was a basic manicure for sure. I paid $100.00 plus tip for manicure and pedicure with gel polish. For that kind of money it should have been exceptional. The manicure and pedicure were rushed, the place was a zoo, and I’m trying to figure out the up-sale here and how this place stays so busy. I’ll never be back. I would have love to have given a great review because she did a beautiful job but my issue was the customer service and pricing scam.... I came in asked for acrylic fill in even reminded the tech ACRYLIC  fill in I'm not sure if it's a language barrier or not....I wondered why she was putting my hand under the gel light and asked again. I noticed they always try to up sell you on the pedi and gel but I have gotten the same thing for 10 years. When it came time to pay they over charged me $10 said it was for the gel. I said I asked for acrylic not gel they said I came in with gel I repeated again  I haven't had gel in 5 years I don't like gel. Instead of taking the $10 off for their mistake they said they would remove the entire nail job and send me on my way would take ten min or more I said I didn't have the time just only charge me for what I asked for not your mistake then I gave a nice tip thanked them soooo much and said I was very happy with the job just to smooth things out but then....she ( the owner I assume) said ok you can pay the reduced amount but don't come back and yelled it embarrassing me in front of the entire salon!!!! It was their mistake!!!!! I have never been so disappointed and appalled at that type of customer service in my life. Felt very rushed.  Also felt like my daughter and I were being talked about even though we had no idea what they were saying.  My nails are very short and "fanned" outward.  I wanted just basic square shaped.  My girl drilled my cuticle too short and it bled, I never got the chance to wipe it off before the gel was placed.  Now I have a blood mark in my thumb nail.  Doesn't seem very sanitary to me.  Wish I would've read these reviews before I went.  But my usual place was booked and we needed a quick fix.  Never again. As I write this I am still so angry with this place. Was in Florida ,Mederia Beach for a wedding in June and saw an ad in the coupon book so I decided to treat the bride and 4 of her maids for a relaxer before the special day.All six of us went there it was a Saturday around noon as I remembered it. We were Immediately rushed and told to pick a color. We took about three minutes and was told to hurry! Hurry for what!?As they were doing our pedicures they offered an upgrade to something called a sweet pedicure. I asked what it consists of and all we got was "it's good" but I didn't want to skimp out on my girls. So we decided to go with it.Seriously not more than 10mins later it was done. They rushed us like livestock. Wham Bam get out. Two of the girls were hustled into eyebrows waxes. I over heard one of the tech telling her that she looked like "Planet of the Apes", I assumed the movie. How nice!They kept pushing to get acrylic put on but we just settled for the Mani /pedi combo. Except my friend's little sister. Beginning of a Big mistake for her.When the two girls got their brows done I could hear them say to the nail tech it was hot and it hurt. After leaving there we had lunch. One of the girls complained her face hurt. We didn't think much of it and went back to the hotel room.We all meet up after a nap and OMG the girl who got the wax treatment was swollen.  We took her to Largo med and had her checked out. It turned out not only did they burn her she was also allergic to the chemical the wax was made of.Called back to the salon and told them what happen so it wouldn't happen to anyone else. All we got was " I don't know, can't help, I no DR". They sure took our money fast but no where to be found for liability.As a result of this, the one brides maid did not want to participate in the wedding looking like that. These people ruined my friend's wedding!This was a horrible experience ! I have been here several times and each time it gets a little worse. The last time I was here they ripped skin off of a nail and argued with me about cutting my nails short. This time again they argued about the length of my nails. These ladies need to learn some manners. VO Nails is just O.K. if you're wanting a rushed in-and-out experience, then this is the place for you. I go to this place from time-to-time for the convenience of it being close to our house. If you are wanting to relax and be pampered, I suggest going to Lavender Nail Bar in Seminole. It's brand new, so it's very clean and the nail technicians cater to you. VO is super weird with their OPI polishes, too! They always try and push their cheaper polishes when I specifically say that I only use OPI. And, they always give me an attitude when they ask me if I want something to drink and I ask for wine. I am 30! Lavender Nail Bar definitely is more than pleased to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. I've been coming here for awhile now, I used to really like it, but the last few times I've been in they are always in a rush.  They tell you to hurry and pick your color, if you lay one ring down they grab it before you can make a decision.  If the dryer goes off, right away they tell you to turn it back on before I even notice it's off.  My nail polish used to last 2-3 weeks but the last two times its chipped before a week is up.  I go to have a mani and pedi to relax not be rushed.  I am going to find a different place. Been coming here for years. Rosie and Hanna are the best techs. A smile and greeting your nail tech goes a long way! These ladies work 6 days a week and do grueling work dealing with feet of all kinds. The quality of work is fantastic and even better if I warmly smile at my tech and greet the owners. I always ask for the ladies mentioned above and if they aren't available I'll still get a good tech. I have had a couple of experiences here with random techs that weren't stellar but they have ALWAYS been immediately corrected. If I chip a nail, they fix at no cost, no problem! I have been to other nail salons and have always been disappointed. I have never seen anyone here "just rinse" a bowl. They always sanitize with chemicals and scrub. I've been coming here for 7 years now. I love it! Also, they ask about the tip in advance because they have to put it in their machine before the swipe, it's easier for accounting purposes and with the volume they do, the easier the better for all of us. I started going going because my regular place is closed on Sundays. Great service, better pedicure than my last place. They use the top brands and you can get a mani pedi even with gel-nails in under an hour. They have a lot of staff,so you don't have to wait. You are offered complimentary soft drink, water or wine. You can get very basic or higher level services. I will keep coming back. My is limited and it is nice to be able to just drop in and have a nice service on my own time frame. Read Less

I had just moved to Florida and saw a coupon for this salon for a gel pedicure! It seemed like a nice salon and since I was living on the beach I wanted a pedicure that would last so I went with gel! It faded within a week and I went back to get the color touched up! When I went to a salon closer to me they discovered I had severe fungus in both big toes and I was so embarrassed!! The ladies on both sides of me treated me like a had a contagious disease! Both my toes are an ugly green/black ! Obviously this place even those I was impressed on my 1st visit doesn't follow hygiene policies for nail salons with their tools or whatever they used on me!! Don't go there and waste your money. Ladies, they hurtle us like cows from chair to chair and out the door as fast as they can. You pay 25 for a pedicure, called sweet pedicure and no massage. Basically they wash your feet, barely file your nails, paint and rush you out so the next person can take your place. There are many better options around. The first 2 times I visited this salon I was impressed. However each subsequent time has gotten worse and worse. As I sit here now, my nail tech is painting my nails after only 10 minutes!!! I've been going here for almost 4 year's now. I'd say 98% of the time they are fabulous. Only issue I've had is new staff (which is vary rare) They just do things a Lil different than I'm used to. I am highly disappointed in VO.  Been going there for years (7) and love my Nail Tech DIANE.  But the feeling lately lacks personable treatment of dedicated customers.   I took my daughter there in December.  Granted they were busy, but she was not serviced well and made her feel like she was putting them out, especially the owners.  Her nails were done so fast she barely got comfortable in the chair and looked terrible.   And prices are never the same strangely.  What is that?????  I am no longer a customer and to be honest the only guilt I feel is leaving my Diane :(  I hope that VO pulls it together and stop yelling at their technicians in front of customers to the point of making them cry.  Only wish I knew what they are yelling about.   Its sets the tone and makes me feel sad.  :( Read Less

Had a pedicure yesterday and what a waste of money.A snotty young girl from Vietnam did it.Of course she didn't know thatI speak and understand her language and was appalled of what I've heard.The hygiene in this place leaves everything to be desired. She used a rasper(used in cooking to grate pototoes) on my soles.The grater had still people's calluses on it.Same is true for the nail file she used. I don't believe it was ever cleaned and has previous customer's dead skin on it.She insisted on getting paid for the glas of wine she served me.I asked if she had a license to serve alcohol and a cosmotology licenseand she said no.I don't believe any of these girl are licensed.The girl did not accepted the 20% off advertised coupon, although it was my first time there.I hope, that I won't get some kind of infection from the bloody file or fungus from the filthy tubs.The massage chair didn't work either and couldn'tbe even adjusted, so it was very uncomfortable to sit.They "nailed" me:$27. Torn on this place. Been coming here for many years but don't need a bi-monthly fix due to the type of work I do. Cindy and majority of the girls are wonderful. The prices are fair and the color/product selection are plenty. I call to make an appointment with my fav tech, Cindy, and when I get there she is always "with a client." Fair enough, she's good and the place is usually busy.I was getting married last month and I had a group of 5 come with me. Called ahead and Cindy was booked of course. We had other gals take care of us and they were wonderful. The male owner snapped his fingers and was saying "Hey. Hey you." at one of my friends trying to get her attention while she get settled into her seat and asked me what pedi I get. I thought "excuse me" would have been more professional but chalked it up to a language barrier. Yesterday my wife and I went in and got pedicures. They were nice and relaxing but a little rushed. Starting to feel more and more every time we go into VO Nails that we are "a$$e$ in the $eat$" and there is no relationship being built there anymore. My manicure yesterday was quick and painful. No more soaking the schellac off, Jade filed the crap out of my nail beds and she tore up my skin. She kept saying "you have so much skin, you don't think so?" Really? Clearly I have to have a talk with my dermis. Also, my half ass mani left the residual of prior shellac still on my nails so you can still see it a little from the base of my nail as well as a nice air bubble.We've decided to try another place. . First time at this place and I had a very good experience. They have the most colors I've ever seen and been able to choose from! The people are very friendly and nice. They get you drinks if you want, I had the white wine. They have different packages to choose from, I got the sweet pedicure and it came with a long massage and a sugar scrub and hot towel. Worst nail salon experience of my life! I came in to get my gels redone, and have had the same exact problem twice now. They were in such a rush to get me out that they do not let the gels soak long enough, and instead try to scrape and file them off. This is extremely damaging to your nails, which they seem completely unconcerned about. I meet Sunny right as she was opening up her nail spa a few years back. I love her pedicures!! She does the best job in town for such a reasonable costs. This is a real treat that my sisiter and I share together. My sister, who lives in Tampa, said she has been using a place in Tampa before to get her pedicure done and it costs her more money and she gets less treatment.
