AWFUL SERVICE! The worst nail service I've ever received. I thought they would be more apologetic and thrive for excellent customer service, since I had to return only a few days later to fix a nail that broke. Not only did she make rude remarks, but kept trying to push me to have more done than I asked for. She kept insisting I needed a fill, when I went in to fix one finger nail that broke. I also decided I wanted to change the color but kept trying to push and push for a fill. It was really annoying if I had to be honest. It is so sad how terrible her customer service was. I thought it was pretty funny how she told me a fill was $18 but charged me $21 to fix ONE nail and change my nail polish color. Total rip off. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else!! The guy who just did my nails was a total jerk and I regret leaving him a tip. He didn't speak to me and made me feel like I was a hassle for being in there- sorry I am giving you business. I messed my nail polish up when I stood up and honestly debated whether or not to tell him because I didn't want to continue being treated badly. Right before that, he asked me to pay before the polish(understandable) and just swiped my card. When I asked where to leave a tip he said "you should have told me" because they don't have a slip for tips. I understand that's common but how I am supposed to know that??I won't be back. Read Less

Decided to try Koi Nail Spa and loved it the first time. Got tons of compliments. Went the second time. Same nail tech. Within 4-5 days the designs on my nails were chipping. Called and was promised a full new set at no cost. Went in and they said they didn't see anything wrong with the other nails so would only repair the chipped ones. Decided to turn their anything but generous offer and try a new place. Town Park Nails isn't as big and doesn't give you wine in fancy glasses. However the people are great, the atmosphere is relaxing, and their work is great. Plus they don't cost as much. I was offered water or wine, which Koi never had. I had an awesome conversation with Ken while he did everything to my liking. I love my nails and plan to return in 2-4 weeks and ask for Ken again. In love with this place! Read Less

Would not recommend this place.  $25 for a 20 minute spa pedicure.  The nail professional did a quick job and the nail polish was put on sloppy.  There was a young child running around the entire time.  It was not a place to getaway and relax for an hour.  I will not be back and will not send referrals to this location.  Not worth the $. I visited this location on the First of the year. There were two very nice women working and I got the mani pedi special. I was seated in a massage chair and reieved a pedi while the other woman did my nails and ran around the shop trying to keep things running smoothly. My nails were painted very sloppy and chipped the next day. She also trimmed my nails uneven and was rushing and multitasking through the entire treatment. My toes were done good except for the painting. The color looked even and slightly bumpy. I would not recommend this salon or ever go back. Read Less

Went in on a weekday at 2pm (had the day off). It was busy but I was seated for a pedi immediately. I love that they use liners in the sinks and newly opened tools. They were quick, the massage was great and my nails were painted very well. I will return here! Read Less

This place is clean and quick. The nail expert I had didn't seem to good. No cuticle oil. Cut a few of my toes too short. Toes not even. Cuticles cut horribly. I believe there are some good nail experts but I didn't walk out feeling well treated. On vacation so I won't be returning anytime soon. Read Less

I took my daughter here for her first full set of acrylic nails and got a new full set of my own. When my daughter was looking at the polish colors, the technician asked if she wanted the gel color and I said "Sure". I have always had gel over the top of my pink and white acrylics to keep them shiny and strong, so I figured this was the same thing but with color instead of clear. The same effect could be achieved with regular nail polish and a coat of gel on top. When I pointed this out, I was told, "Oh, we don't do that." Of course they don't! Why do something that is usually $5 extra when they can dupe you out of $20!!! Which they didn't tell me until the end. As for our full sets themselves, they were both horrible. I knew that what the guy was doing with my nails was wrong, and the guy sitting next to him even joked that I had a look on my face like, "what is this guy doing?" And I did, because he was doing the pink part of my pink & whites first, which isn't how anybody who's ever done my nails (about 25 years worth) has ever done them. He told me not to worry, that they would come out better this way. They are lumpy, uneven, too wide and it's almost like he was trying to save on acrylic powder, because there's barely any on the nails. Usually there should be a slight curve of the nails when you look at them from the side. These are completely flat, except of course for the lumps at the bottom and tip of the nails. I kept pointing out things for him to fix, like one spot that literally had NO acrylic on it, and he was irritated that I was questioning him. So he finally "finishes" and asks me how they look and I put my hands down in front of him, looked him in the eye and said, "How do YOU think they look?" He inspects his work, fiddles around and files here and there, and tells me to go wash my hands. Also, when I asked him what the difference in price was between the pink and whites I was getting, and the regular acrylics my daughter was getting, he acted like he didn't understand me. I rephrased 3 different ways and he still acted confused until I said, "Are the pink & whites like $40 and the regular $25? Or.... " and he said, "Yes". What a coincidence that I guessed the prices perfectly! There is no price menu on the wall, so be careful about what you're being charged. Overall it was horrible. My daughter's nails are even lumpier than mine, and $85 later, we will NEVER be back here again. I felt like crying. Read Less

My husband and I wanted to get pedicures the night before Thanksgiving. We called everywhere and nothing was available- everyone went home early to get ready for the next day. I was so thankful that this place was open. I was a little nervous when I saw a few bad reviews but thought I should give it a try. It was not a bad pedi at all. Went for a quick shellac paint. No wait. Went in with regular polish and had shellac put on. She squared off nails, went in with rounded. She was very nice but didn't ask preference. When done, rough edges on nails on 6 nails. $20 Otherwise, great job but a little more attention to detail would give a 5 star. Read Less

Came for a pedicure. 8 months pregnant, hoping for relaxation. This was hell & I'm not a negative person. This was a horrible experience & I don't feel it was sanitary. The man used extreme pressure doing the massage & it hurt. Worst of all was the tools that were used to remove dead skin. I was not prepared for the metal foot scrapper. They should use new scrub stones. I don't think metal scrapers are even allowed but it was horrible. Then he used cuticle clippers and causes me pain. I'm afraid I bled which is disgusting to then be used on someone else. He used his long nails to pull the skin away from my toe nail as he painted & that hurt too. Trust me, this was hell. I have been going to this nail salon for years! I am a licensed cosmetologist and am fully aware of techniques in applications, sanatization, and procedures. Although the previous posts are correct on their reference of excessive talk in foreign language, it does not impair their ability to understand what we, the English speaking client, is asking to have done. I have always been 100% satisfied with every service that I have had done here. Mani, pedi, wax, acrylics, etc. I often take my children and family here for services as well. As I mentioned before I am a licensed cosmetologist and am fully aware of state required sanatization processes. The important thing to know is that when going to this spa you will never have unclean, unsanitized tools used in your service. I am obsessive of this, and can rest assured that the autoclave steralizer sitting in the back of the building by the restroom is used on all implements between every client. That to me surpasses the importance of someone greeting me or speaking a foreign language around me. Just give me pretty nails with clean tools and the world will be a beautiful place =) Read Less

I have to agree with most of the posts here. I truly hate to give bad reviews, but there is not any doubt that this place had earned its 1 star. I too, have received horrible service from Town Park Nails. The atmosphere is... a bit uncomfortable, the employees do seem to care more about what is on TV or are just too into their conversation with other fellow coworkers to truly do a good job on your nails and provide you with a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. The straw that broke the camel's back was when I requested to have a female employee attend my pedicure instead of a man. They looked at me as if I was insane and that I requested the most ridiculous thing! In my opinion, my request was neither insane nor unreasonable. I am sure that I am not alone when I, as a woman, feel uncomfortable for a man to handle my feet. I got looks... there was more talk in their language and I felt completely and utterly embarrassed! I was meeting my husband for lunch (he works in the plaza) and knew I wanted to get a pedicure first. I did my research beforehand, and was hesitant to visit this salon because of all the negative reviews, so I decided to visit the salon Shear Bliss next door. Unfortunately they were booked completely for that day...so I reluctantly went to Town Park Nails.When I walked in, I was greeted immediately and had a seat in the Pedicure Chair. The pedicurist was VERY NICE and completely attentive to my needs. She took her time on the massage portion of my calves and did my nails beautifully! I have even gone back at least 2 more times since that first visit and still have no complaints. I do not know why this place has gotten bad reviews, but they are great whenever I visit.UPDATE: 10/26/2012I still love this place. Again, I am baffled by all the negative reviews. Not only do I go there regularly and am treated kindly every time, but all of my husband's female coworkers often go as well. I went to this salon for a pedicure because I was in the area. I felt like I was interrupting the employees when I walked in. They definitely didn't make me feel welcome, and I had to ask if someone could help me (there were no other customers in the place and it was 2+ hours before closing). The pedicure was OK, but not terribly relaxing because everyone working there kept talking to each other and laughing heartily in another language, and no one interacted with me at all. The man who did my pedicure went out the front door while my polish was drying, and I waited 10 minutes to pay him and say goodbye.
