Went in today for a pedicure around 6:25pm knowing they close at 7pm I should be out with 5 minutes to spare. Instead I was told they could not do my pedicure because no one was free... I had made an appointment for beautybar the same day they send me a message to confirm my appointment. And the day of my appointment they send me another message to remind me. Came in early took me in early. Beautybar has great customer service they even offer you a beverage you have a choice of water, hot teen ,coffee or hot chocolate and couple wine choices. Went to get a full set; pink and white, I told her I wanted them short. Instead of cutting them down and asking how the length worked she started putting the acrylic on before I could say they were too long. Instead of doing what shape I wanted, she made them straight across with extremely sharp corners. I habent been home long how and I have to round my edges because I've already hurt myself. I've never seen anything like this. They aren't even and the white is too thick. The only good thing I can say is that at least they don't look like they fan out at the tips and the acrylic isn't half an inch thick, other than that, I'm not satisfied at all. Thank god I'm not going to an event any time soon cause of be somewhere tomorrow having these bad boys fixed. Read Less

I got my nails a couple weeks back and after 4 days of getting a full set which was more expensive than other places; they were all lifting, I went back to get all my nails fixed and loved how they looked once I left... but sadly less than a week later they're all lifted once again.. Hello I came in Sunday, 12/4/16. You were remodeling yet told me they'd fix my one nail. My nail had a little acrylic left on. One lady said yes, some said no. The older mom lady started my nail. Meanwhile a woman stated " you do not want her to do your nail right now." It was not properly removed all the way. the woman glued my tip on crooked. after filing the nail there with the left over acrylic... anyway I am Vietnamese and all they were cracking jokes in another language thinking i have no idea. LOL The nail broke in the same place it was originally broken (hence the left over acrylic) as soon as I got home. It snagged and ripped right off. I paid 10$ since they were nice enough to fix it yet Monicas in Sanford has way more reliable strong nails. Read Less

i generally never rate a business  this one gets a 1 star and a never returni am simply over nail techs who text while working and salons owners allowing this to occurfirst its rude, if it's a emergency excuse yourself in english or use the primary language of your customer base . do what you must then return. remember the clients time is important.while the salon was clean in appearance i was not impressed.in addition the tech speak to each other in their native language never to have a conversation with the person sitting in front of you the clientso for the record when you touch your phone you wash you hands before you even think of doing a manicure."It's a well-known fact that cell phones are dirty objects, but just how unclean are they? Place was empty ask for wax from Tammy another lady told me I had to wait for an hour once I told her I'll go with someone else the lady wanted to put me in a chair in front of everyone and do my wax. I asked if I can go in the back she told me it wasn't clean although someone else walked out of there instead of her suggesting I wait 10 minutes so she can clean it, I told her to forget it and she said well goodbye have a nice weekend. 5 stars for my favorite nail salon in Lake Mary! I tried this place out due to the convenient location. It is right off of Lake Mary Blvd & Longwood/Lake Mary Rd. Walk-ins are welcome and you can also make an appointment. The most time you'll wait is maybe 10 min. I've gotten regular manicure, regular pedicure, gel manicure, acrylic full set, and acrylic fill here and all are great! V is my favorite. I began going to her because she is one of the few who do acrylics and now I use her for regular manicures and gel manicures as well. Another great employee is Tammy! They are both my favorites but there are many great people there. They have so many regulars who walk in all the time just to chat- that's when you know it's a great nail salon, right? I usually go to Koi nail spa in Sanford but I thought I would give this place a try but unfortunately I was disappointed. I paid more for a full set and asked for square rounded shape and showed an image and the lady said that was fine then ended up not even rounding them. They were rushing the entire time, and it just wasn't very relaxing, koi plays a movie for you and although this place has a tv they had nothing on. Read Less

I came here with a gift certificate from a friend, and I wanted to express a few concerns.I came in about 30 minutes before closing for a mani pedi. To minimize on cleaning at the end of the night, they did my mani pedi in a chair which was quite cumbersome to say the least, but at points, they made it work. I expressed the fact that I'd done a treatment on my calluses and I didn't want them worked on, but then three other customers walked in, and instead of focusing on me, the current customer, and leaving the other technicians to deal with the new customers, the rest of the time was spent shooting dirty looks at the late customers. Now, I know all about being annoyed with people coming in late, and I could justify at least one dirty look, but then, she reached over and grabbed the pumice stone and before I could stop her, scrubbed my calluses and they started to bleed. I screamed out and she quickly put some antiseptic on it and told me I should've told her, which I reminded her that I did, but to my dismay, I was the one to blame. She fixed up a few of my nails that were done rather haphazardly, and sent me off to dry my nails. Usually I don't flash my gift certificates around because I want the best job done without any bias, (too much to ask for?), but nothing could compare to the look on the owner's face once she realized she wasn't receiving a tip. I was quickly rushed out the door, keys in hand, and half dried nails. I just had my first pedicure at L'Amour Nails and was very impressed. I expressed my  concerns about sterilization of the instruments to Tina the owner who gave me through explanation of every precaution they take including having the latest technology chairs. I am a retired nurse and found that to be very reassuring. Lily did a fantastic job with my pedicure including a spa scrub and lotion massage. I will definitely go back! Read Less
