My nail technician was Gin, he was so calm, cool, and has a gentle touch. Loved his confidence and the ability to hold conversation. I called today for my girlfriend to make a simple appointment for this Friday and it all went downhill from there. First off when I called, the girl who picked up....and she’s lucky I didn’t get her name....picked up with an attitude asking what I needed so I explained I wanted to make an appointment and she told me to hold on. So I’m waiting for a few minutes while I hear her talking to people, then after waiting for around 5 minutes she hung up on me. When I called back she picked up with an attitude the same way she did before and I told her I was the one she just hung up on and all she had to say about it was “oh yeah...sorry”. I really like the work here done by Gin and so does my girlfriend which is why I was trying to make an appointment for her but customer service here SUCKS and if I could give it 0 stars I would. I like this place. They use the foot spa covers so it's more sanitary than other salons. They have plenty tvs to entertain you also as u get serviced or wait. Get the price before they start though... don't let them game you. Read Less

We are lucky  to have found this gem  near our house ! It's right next to the Publix so a perfect way to take a quick break while doing all of the grocery shopping on this Sunday Funday. Today was Andrew's first pedicure and absolutely loved it. He had the basic which consisted of a foot wash, nails clipped and filed ending with a massage. His favorite part was the massage and how they gently handled his cuticles. I had a basic manicure which included removing the previous gel set, cuticles, massage and regular polish. I also had an eyebrow and lip wax which, to my surprise, was not painful. Thus, we recommend this place! Read Less

Came in on a Tuesday afternoon around 3 PM. After being told to pick out a color and that's it. Didn't tell me the wait time or anywhere to sign in. Tried to get their attention but just avoiding to look at me. About 20 minutes later and being skipped by several new people, finally someone came up to me to start on my full set. Biggest rip off ever. Tried to charge me 5 dollars extra just because I wanted it cut, it's a brand new full set. Should be included. The lady was hurting me the whole time with the nail filer after I said something she kept going. The proceeds to put on the nail and placed my pinky nail crooked. She noticed and I told her as well. Proceeds to ignored the fact that my pinky nail is crooked and kept doing it. After being done, my nail polish started getting little bubbles under the UV light and she manages to do nothing. Again. When it's time to pay she goes ahead and demands for a tip.....I proceed to call today to get it fix because of HER MISTAKE. The person that picked up the phone tells me that I had a three day period. and I have to pay five dollars.I have a receipt and I got my nails done Tuesday. Of all the millions of pedicures I've had in life, this one was a massage more than a good clean. My tech has 2 years of experience and just watching her technique is completely questionable. At first when this place opened it was good but like most places it's gone down hill since it opened. Customer services is terrible. The nail techs are terrible except for a very few. I felt like I had to tell them how to do their jobs and if that's the case I'll just save myself $50 to $60 and do my own mani and pedi. Ever since the Spanish techs started working there if you are Spanish they put you with them. Well let me tell one of those Spanish techs is always on her phone while doing your nails. She's always rushing and is very messy with her color. Clearly has no costumer service skills and in my opinion doesn't have nail tech skills either! I love this nail salon! It's so hard to find a place where everyone is friendly but it's even harder to find a nail artist you love and I have to say I love Emily! My mom and I have been coming here for a few months and Emily has been great every time. She has done everything from SNS to my new "cat eye" style nails. The place is beautiful! I was amazed by how pretty it was. I love the fact that they use new nail filer, pumice, buffer, and plastic cover for the pedicure tub unlike 90% of these other salons. I like my gel pedicure and hoping they don’t chip. I’m remove one star because the receptionist that was at the front wearing the Bebe shirt, who may have been the owner’s family member has ZERO customer service. Not thrilled with my latest pedicure experience, I feel so ripped off.  20 minutes start to finish, barely a  massage.  I'm used to pedicures lasting around 45 min and being able to relax.  They weren't even busy.  Last time I come here.  My search continues for a nice nail place on this side of town. I was previously a customer of Venus Nails & Spa a few day ago and owner was my nail tech. Love him so much!!! He always did an amazing job on my nails! His work was consistent; my nails were the perfect length (I prefer them long), shaped exactly how I wanted (oval) and not too thick. They looked very natural and I always received lots of compliments. I've never been disappointed with the service I received, I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere, and of course the complimentary beverage/massage. And Venus Nails & Spa is the best salon! This place is beautiful and spacious. I have personally received AMAZING services from Yesmary, that include Liquid Gel & SNS Sets, Fills and Pedicures. Sally is also FANTASTIC and provides great services. I would highly recommend them!!! BUT since they are popular I suggest making an appointment and that is the problem!!! There always seems to be issue with the receptionist. They have had several different ones and each one is worse than the last. Recently, despite calling for an appointment, the receptionist informed no one of my appointment and ignored my request for a specific person.  I requested to come in at opening but was discouraged from doing that because the techs might be late. When I arrived, the system did not show I had an appointment at all. Even worse, the person I requested was only available for 30 minutes, which was not enough time. Her next client arrived and had to be reassigned due to the schedule mixup. This is not professional!!During this visit, at least 4 clients complained loudly about the receptionist's poor organization and customer service!! Emily is absolutely FABULOUS with nails, she has never failed to impress me with her skills. And Van is always the one to get a pedicure with, not only does she do an amazing job with the massage but my toes are always left looking great! I highly recommend them both, you will not be disappointed. I am out of town traveling on business and found this place on Yelp! It was everything everyone raved about and more.  Catsy was my technician, she took me at 7:25 (even though they were closing @ 8) for a pedicure & a gel fill.  I was there at least until 8:30.  Not many people can do a decent gel fill & hers was outstanding! My aunt and I came here on a Thursday as soon as they opened in the morning. There was a lot of options for colors. About 10 minutes after we arrived, a lot of people came in and had to wait which is surprising for a Thursday morning but shows how great they are. My aunt had an issue with the way the color came out for her gel manicure and they were quick to fix it for her without any issues. My gel manicure has lasted about a month now which they usually last just 2-3 weeks if you have had it before. Too bad I don't live in Orlando or I would be here for my next mani! Read Less

This was the worst manicure I've ever gotten. Normally I do gel and I know the difference between gel and a regular manicure but I went with a regular manicure this time bc I didn't mind if it only lasted 3-4 days I understand it chips. My nails were completely chipped by the second day. I've also included a picture so there's no exaggeration. When I went back to complain the owner said I could do the same color again? Why would I sit there and get a manicure just to have it chip again in two days??? Cheapest nail polish ever and the worst customer service. We really enjoyed our experience here. Our nail techs did great work. They were as friendly as any other nail tech, at any other nail salon. We did not experience any of the issues as posted in other reviews. The salon is very clean, really nice. We had the deluxe pedi for $37 each. It was well worth the extra money. The place is extremely beautiful... but everything else not so much.. my first time here I did a pedicure and got the spanish colombian lady in which she was amazing and she didnt a great job but the staff treated her like crap because she didnt speak english.. the other ladies there do not do a great job at acrylics. They come out too thin or the shapes are not evened out. Overall impressed with the looks of this place but not everything else. They gave me wine the first time I was there and that was it. The last time I came in the manager was serving me and took almost  1 hour to do a fill because he kept arguying with an upset customer.... I hate to leave a negative review but I'm pretty unhappy so I feel it's necessary right now. I am so dumbfounded by this place. You walk in and it's so beautiful, like no other salon. But the customer service does not match. I went on a Saturday evening, when they were not busy at all, to get a gel mani on short natural nails. Nothing extravagant. Didn't have to wait, awesome, but the man did not file my nails which he really needed to because they had all broken throughout the week. He barely touched on maybe 3 of them (did not smooth them out at all) and ignored my request tohave them squared off, then gave me a lazy "manicure", leaving me with hangnails and uneven cuticles. He painted my nails quickly but it was not clean and smooth at my cuticles and he missed all the corners of every nail. He then proceeded to file my nails AFTER applying top coat. Why?! They will peel! I still paid and tipped but I told desk guy I was unhappy and he said I could go back. So I did today,  and the person would not even remove the old polish, and refused to do my manicure because "they only told him to polish" and "my cuticles look fine." So I paid $30 to still have to go home and fix my nails. This has been lengthy but I'm really not happy with how they treated me and how lazy they were. They really need to up their customer service. I went for the first time, and was impressed by the salon. Very nice, but more importantly extremely clean. I was a walk-in, but didn't have to wait long. My tech was Marcela. She was friendly and did a great job. The pedicure chair worked and the manicure chair was very comfortable. I went at 6pm and the bathroom was clean. The only downside was the choice in nail colors. I am picky so this may just be me. I would have liked a bigger selection of the gels. So I ended up using regular. While I was waiting for my nails to dry, of course I messed up three of my nails, but right away Marcela came back and re-polished the nails. I will be back, great experience. Read Less

Just had acrylic extensions done. I have to say I am absolutely delighted. Sara janes attention to detail is second to none. The colours she chose are beautiful and just the right amount or bling! Would definitely recommend this salon, ideally located in the middle of Cullybackey with ample parking nearby. The range of services offered are fantastic.. from nails to fillers!
