Amy who did my waxing was thorough, pleasant and knowledgeable. She was great! My daughter and I both had pedicures by the same lady and each of us realized on the way home, that she did not do a decent job for either of us. Well, their nail art LOOKS nice... at least from online.🤣 I visited the spa as a walk-in because of the beautiful, well-crafted nails with intricate designs that I saw on Facebook and Google. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to actually experience it. There weren't many customers in there, yet the nail tech/receptionist seemed extremely flustered. Maybe they were understaffed? Anyway, I understand that ALL beauty businesses do not accept walk-ins nor should they be obligated to, but she couldn't seem to make up her mind about whether or not they had time for me or not (I didn't know 3 hours before they close would be too late). First, she didn't know. Then she could. Then she couldn't. I say all of this to say that they could definitely benefit from better customer service and being more organized. I am in LOVE with my nails I can't stop looking at them. I got specialty nails which took a while to do and I enjoyed every minute of it because the girl that did them named Madison was so nice and we just talked and had fun the whole time! Not to mention she stayed after hours and took her time to make sure my nails were perfect!!!Everyone is so nice and professional and great at what they do! I visited Wendy's Nail & Spa for the first time on New Year's Eve. I was referred and decided to try them out. I brought a friend with me. I was VERY pleased with their service. I came in with a single request for my nails and was given tons of options that I didn't know was available. I was impressed and love all of the options they offer for nail services. I’ve been a loyal customer to a nail salon at Town Center for over ten years. After my go to tech moved, I was left to find another reputable place. I heard about Wendy's through from my neighbor and I decided to stop by and it was the best nail experience I have ever had! Normally my pedicures don't last more than 30 minutes. So I was on my way to an event but was in desperate need of a pedicure. I had 45 minutes to spare and this was the closest salon to the place. I walked in and was seated immediately because it was empty in there. A very nice lady came to do my pedicure. We chatted as she soaked my feet and prepared for the pedi. During this chat I mentioned that I am in a rush so she can skip the massage and callus removal part. The lady took her time bringing her tools and getting set up, which made me a little nervous of the time. She was pleased to see that I had removed my previous polish and clipped my nails short. She even made the comment that i had saved her the trouble of doing so. Right after my feet were done soaking, she put the separator in to apply the gel polish. I asked her why she didn't do my cuticles, she said I didn't have any. (I am paying for a pedicure, I would like my cuticles cleaned) so I asked her nicely to please do them because I want my polish to look smooth on the edges. She started yanking on my cuticle skin which kind of hurt. But I let it go because I really wanted a pedicure and I was in too much rush to critique. After a few yanks she stopped. Didn't even clean my cuticles. Throughout our conversation she mentioned that she had eye surgery and that she can't see close up. She even made a joke that she couldn't see my toes. At this point I was definitely nervous. I am a perfectionist and this was going to be absolutely terrible. I still let it go and waited patiently for my pedi to be done. After she put the toe separators on, she took me to a manicure station to use the gel machine... (what in the world?!) other salons Bring the Light to you, because it's a small portable machine. I didn't comment on it instead I just followed. At this point  40 mins had already passed. I told her I was going to be late. She said she will hurry. I wish I knew that hurry meant sloppy. I couldn't even see what she was doing to my toes because there was a desk blocking my view. So she painted my toes and slipped them inside the light curing machine. Before I knew it, an hour had passed and I was already late. At this point I couldn't do anything. She was sweet so she did apologize for Making me late. I smiled and told her it's alright, I should have planned it better. Once she was done, I looked down at my toes and I was horrified to find how sloppy it was! It looked like a kid had painted my toes. I was so upset! But I didn't say anything and didn't have time to fix it. They charged me $35 for this (including the service of clipping cuticles which she didn't do) but whatever. So I paid and left! I will NEVER go to this salon again. The lady is sweet but if she can't see properly then she shouldn't be doing people's manicures and pedicures. The worst pedicure ever! Read Less

I went in for my first time today.The place is clean and the girl who took care of me was friendly. It was likely the best pedi I've ever had,  but it took more than 2 hours.I was in a bit of a hurry, so that was longer than i meant to be there, but my feet look amazing.That two hours did not include any wait time. I hadn't found a great nail place that could really fulfill all the cool things I saw on Pinterest until I saw a friend of mine post pictures of her nails from Wendy's. I jammed a nail and needed to get them done ASAP and my regular girl was unavailable, so I decided to come here. Upon the referral I was given $5 off for my services, and my friend receives $5 off her future services. Which was pretty cool, since I didn't expect it. I made an appointment (absolutely necessary because they tend to fill up quickly), and was seated with Jason. I gave him an idea of what I wanted from a Pinterest photo, and he was able to create the look and then some. He gave it his own spin. The decor is beautiful with privacy curtains for the pedicure chairs, Amazon TV to watch movies, and a complimentary drink of choice while you do your nails (wine - moscato or sangria, soda, or water). I obviously chose the free glass of wine at 11 am (fermented fruit juice, don't judge me!). Jason was friendly and explained what he was doing when it came to my nails, like why he made them thinner in the coffin shape, and how he was putting the gems on. I have to say, I am excited to come back to get some really cool stuff done for the holidays and in general. I love my nails, and I loved the service. Would definitely come back. Wendy and her nail techs are awesome! Everyone there is friendly and make you comfortable. Amber did a wonderful job on my pedi and gel mani. I was worried about getting a mani because I broke on my nails pretty bad and I like my nails to look symmetrical when I get them done. Amber somehow managed to fix this nail and make it uniform with the others! I live out in orange park and will not hesitate to make the drive out to have my nails look this great!!! I been to this establishment twice and whole heartily this is my nails shop. Such friendly service I already know each and every nail tech. They multi task like no other. The clientele don't seem to have a wait at all when they come in. Scheduling appropriately is one of my pet peeves and they do it great. Their art work on the walls is actually their own work on their clients *Amazing*. Very clean and not dusty at all.  My daughters nails as well as mine are beautiful. Words cannot describe how much I love Wendy, and her focus to detail.I've been getting my nails done on and off for almost 3 years, I was referred by one of her clients and she's been the best so far.I was doing my own eyebrows because I hadn't found, or trusted anyone in Jacksonville to do them. Bad experiences caused me to ruin my own eyebrows and unfortunately they became thin and didn't fit my full face.I let my eyebrows grow out for two months in order to try to get that fullness back again that I had in high school.I came in and she automatically accommodated me without me asking by getting me a chair that best suited me.She knew exactly what to do without me coaching her, "don't forget to pluck please, can you trim them, don't forget the middle".I'm beyond satisfied and my eyebrows are definitely better than most.VISIT WENDY'S NAIL & SPA she'll definitely make you want to tip and become a life long customer.
