So happy to have found this salon after relocating from the Northeast. For the first time I had a SNS manicure (it’s a dipping process) because it wasn’t offered at my regular salon in Philadelphia I don’t know how they do it, but it is 10000xs better than gel. After 3 weeks no chips and I just go back because my nail bed is showing due to growth. You also get a real nice salon style treatment. Love this place! Went here a year ago and finally went back and found the place looking completely different. New owners have done a great job with the renovation. Staff is SUPER friendly! I took my two girls, ages 4 & 5 and they have the cutest Hello Kitty chairs for them to get their pedicures in. They grinned the whole time. The nail techs treated them like princesses even fixing their little toes when they messed them up (with smiles). They even talked to them and asked them questions about how their day was going and when they were going back to school. They took the time to really make them feel like a real customer. Two different experiences. Jenny is amazing! She made sure my nails were absolutely perfect, very thorough and detail oriented. It's been a week and a half and my gel nails are holding up great. However, not a fan of one of the male workers there that I had the first time I went. He was extremely rude and honestly just insulted me the entire time and the nails didn't even hold up well. Awesome place!! So clean and very hospitable!! I haven't had a manicure in years because every time I did it would chip within hours (I'm a Mom and keep a clean house so my hands are always scrubbing and in water) and this was the first manicure I received that was perfect!! Started here nearly a year ago because it was 1/2 mile from my house. Will keep going even if i move to Middle of nowhere Burg. I have been here a few times and its always been a good experience. I stopped in today for a manicure-didn't have time for the usual mani/pedi. Dawn did my nails-and they look amazing!. She offered to do a mini-pedicure that wouldn't take too long. So I agreed.She did a wonderful job on my feet in 30 minutes-including the polish. She was so friendly and professional at the same time. I will ask for Dawn again. She really made me feel special and pampered. A friend of mine brought me here and I had a great experience. Service was impeccable and you can't beat the price. Good selection of nail polish and it feels more like a spa than most of the other nail places around the beach area. Super clean. They have a menu of different services for pedicure and manicure. My nail tech was caring and very skilled. She was also quick but didn't rush. She made sure I was happy with my color. The girls upfront that get you set up and take your payment were very professional and sweet. This is next door to Starbucks, so I wish I could give an extra star just for that. I've been coming to this shop for several months now and have been very satisfied with the service. I did have one event that occurred that was not so great but since speaking with the owner, Jessica, that has been remedied. I recommend Jessica or Anne for nails. I have acrylics and gel polish and have always received compliments on my nails, especially from my sweet husband. Recently, I was introduced to SNS and I love it! Jessica is delightful to talk with while she does her magic on my nails. She always seems to stay up with the current trends, which are fun to try. Another wonderful and well kept secret is the addition of Paris, an esthetician. She does an amazing job at threading. If you've never tried it, yes, it's uncomfortable sometimes, but worth the long term advantage over waxing, which causes me to break out. Overall, I enjoy coming to the shop for a chat and wine while I get pampered. Not great! I waited for 20 minutes for someone to begin my pedi in water that was really cold. I told the tech that was doing my daughters toes and she splashed a little warm water in. I'm no expert on manicure and pedicures, but I will say I know when I am getting great service. Getting your feet done is not just for women and I will say that the nail techs at Ooh La La are a great group of people. My whole time there felt relaxing and welcoming and I never got the "oh he's a guy in a nail shop" vibe at all. The shop is located right off of JTB near the publix I shop at on Hodges. The interior is nice and clean and there is a big tv with the food network playing which may not necessarily be a good thing because that channel makes me so hungry. The techs use liners for the foot tubs and provide you with your own nail file and buffer to take home which seems to be the most sanitary way of using those types of utensils. I would say between the accommodating staff and amazing foot rub I believe this place is way worth the time and money. Paris gives the best foot massage ever! I also had her sharpen up my eyebrows and she used a technique that I had never heard of, Threading. You take regular thread and shape up the eyebrows. No waxing, tweezers, or redness. It was the best experience I've ever had. Then because my eyebrows are so light and diminishing she also did a tinting that last 2-4 weeks. I would give a half star, if I could! Worst. Pedicure. Ever. I took my girlfriend there, for her Birthday & the girls were really nice, but very inexperienced. The pedicure itself was blah, & their paint job was horrible, at best. She didn't push back my cuticles & put on NO top coat. I didn't notice it, until several days, later. Usually, my pedi will last AT LEAST a month, but it's been less than 2 weeks & they have chipped horribly & they have grown out, like it's been a month!
