Locally-owned, which is a plus. And very conventionally located. The tanning bulbs were all newly replaced, and there are quite a few different beds to choose from (around ten maybe?) plus this place offers spray tans done by hand instead of the machine. But the space is just outdated- older equipment, no overhead music, etc. I decided to try Emerald Tanning before going to the bigger chains here in town, hoping maybe the prices here would compensate for any of the "frills" offered elsewhere. Unfortunately the prices were much higher than expected ($60 per month for a membership??) with no real perks for signing.

Emerald Tanning is well-run and very conscientious about safety guidelines. Convenient and affordable too!

Emerald Tanning and Nail Salon in my opinion, are hands-down THE BEST tanning and nail salon in Jacksonville. Anything from tanning and nails to waxing and facials followed up with a massage by a certified massage therapist you are guaranteed to leave feeling revived and ready to take on the world . OK maybe not the world in all its craziness, but definitely the day!!!! Thank you for everything guys! Your AWESOME!

Their tanning package deals are fantastic and the staff couldn't be friendlier. Always welcoming, always accommodating. Whenever I'm in town, this is the place I go.

The tanning bulbs were all newly replaced, and there are quite a few different beds to choose from (around ten maybe?) plus this place offers spray tans done by hand instead of the machine.
