Several times now I've tried to give this place a second chance.... Thinking holidays or whatever caused their rushed and rude attitudes. But no. Tried them again today and the owner/manager lady was very rude and did a horrible sloppy job on my nails. I asked her to clean the sides of my nails and she LITERALLY said just go home and wash it come off skin with soap, you done! I was floored. I will never go there again. Don't believe the positive reviews.  I honestly got the worst  manicure I have ever had here and attached the photo.  I wear glasses that I didn't have on so not until I got into my car did I see how horrible a job was done.  Dirt under every nail and blood on several areas of my cuticles.  I really can't believe someone could be so bad or maybe this was there first day . PLEASE BE AWARE THIS MAY NOT ALWAYS BE A FAMILY FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT. Such a shame, going here the last three years my kids define this location as the best nail salon in Jacksonville. However, like many others have explained, things can get heated between the husband and wife proprietors  and then things can get hanky. On our most recent visit, after sitting down and soaking with my daughter and her friend, things got heated between the owners and the verbal exchange included words you don't normally say in front of 12 year olds. When I brought this to his attention he said "you don't like it, leave". So I did, then he apologized, then his own daughter yelled at him that he is mentally unstable, more yelling by the wife and then the clincher, more inappropriate language that was not suitable for 12 year old girls. I really had no choice as a parent but to walkout at that point and never return. I have been very pleased with this nail salon. Most all of the techs are very pleasant and very well trained. The atmosphere is very relaxing and pricing is very competitive. My favorite tech is Anna. She is very thorough, quick and very pleasant to spend time with. People who were unhappy should give it another try. Read Less

I've been going to imperial for years and they've always had exceptional service but the last few months I've been getting charged as much as $6 more than it is for a fill in and I double checked to make sure the cost was still $17 when I have had to pay $22 for just a fill in. DO NOT GO HERE. Worst gel French manicure I've ever had! Extremely rude technician, never smiled not even once! She rushed through the manicure as if the place was on fire. My nails were done in less than 15 minutes -- and it was $30 !!! She did a horrible job on the white tips of my nails by not covering all of the existing white tip and two of them are actually crooked. I never write bad reviews, but this is one I could not let go. Personable, friendly, and family owned & operated. Their services are wonderful and the atmosphere is like relaxing at home. They even walk you to your car with an umbrella to open your car door for you when it's raining! Read Less

My sister-in-law and I went together for her birthday, and we had an excellent experience! Very relaxing atmosphere, careful and dedicated technicians. (We were with Anna and Helen.) I just encountered the most blatant homophobia at this establishment. I was just ridiculed and denied a manicure and pedicure by a male technician because it was undignified. This is 2015 folks. Shame on this owner and management! I asked TOM who works here if it was a cultural choice and they told me not at all. I am glad I walked out. . The basics are that the male technicians do not want to provide mani-pedi services to gay men, so the shop policy is that the men techs service only women, and the women techs service both men and women. .
