I rarely take the time to write reviews for businesses, but I feel like this experience warranted the time to write one.
I’ve been to Floral Nails three times: I got a full set of acrylics, I got them filled, and I got them removed. While my first two visits to Floral Nails were pleasant enough, I cannot say the same for the third visit.
While there getting a fill a couple weeks ago, a woman walked in and was greeted by name (which indicated to me that she was a regular). She was getting her acrylics removed and the technician, from the looks of it, did a really nice job. At the end, she put clear coat on her natural nails and massaged oil into her nail beds, etc. The whole thing took about 30 to 35 minutes.
I came for the very same service as that guest with the very same technician, but received very different service. I suspect this was because I, unlike that lady, am not a regular.
Firstly, she finished in nearly half the time as the other woman. The technician asked me three times if I wanted a manicure and I declined all three times. My nails were then very painfully yanked off (you can see internal bleeding in the picture of my index finger). When I left, my nails were not filed evenly and there were still cuts from the nail cutters and there was still acrylic on three of my fingers.
When I went to pay, she asked me the tip amount and then, without my realizing, included it in the total for the service. When the machine asked me to enter the tip amount, I did, so I ended up being charged the tip amount twice. When I brought it to her attention, another technician came to fix it and apparently adjusted the tip amount the device (which I sincerely believe she did). However, she asked me to sign the receipt anyway, which I wasn’t willing to do so she cancels that sale and charges my card again. I’m still not sure whether everything went through correctly.
The biggest issue I have is that the service was poor based on what services I was and was not having done. I have a sneaking suspicion that, had I agreed to get another manicure, I would not have gotten the rushed and lackluster service I received. Suffice it to say I will not return to Floral Nails. While my first two visits were fine, I believe good service at this establishment is selective and subjective. Read Less
