This place is horrible! The owner (Shai) is, to put it mildly, a lier with no professional integrity. I was going there for real hair extensions with Valerie which she provided from their stock, vowin...
This place is horrible! The owner (Shai) is, to put it mildly, a lier with no professional integrity. I was going there for real hair extensions with Valerie which she provided from their stock, vowing for the quality and authenticity. For this service I paid $1,250. After couple of weeks the extensions, originally blond, turned pink ! I went to a professional colorist in an attempt to reverse that pink into blond again. The extensions hardly took in the color, which made the... colorist assume they were NOT real hair extensions. For this service I paid $120. Nevertheless, they turned pink again. I went back to the salon asking for a full refund. They refused and agreed only to replace it with another set of extensions from their stock. At this time they charged me additional $560. The exact phenomenon repeated itself: it turned from blond to pink only this time their colorist tried to fix it to no avail. At this point they were willing to refund me for $250 out of the $1,930 which I’ve already paid. They refused to take any responsibility . They wouldn’t answer my calls. They left me hanging there with pink hair and no backing whatsoever. See More

Shai better believe they will here this from everyone! What's funny is that I took my girl there last week. She complained on how Shai made her hair look like booty and only did what they felt like doing. The cubanichis at JCP could do way better!

This place has worst customer service. Unfortunately, I cannot use a gift certificate I won at the Shoah 5k walk for Holocaust Remembrance. To begin with, calling is useless because they have two salons and I couldn't understand what their recording said. When I did speak with someone, it sounded like she couldn't be bothered talking to me and didn't know the prices. She told me she was going to call me back (I'm not sure why) and never did. I received a confirmation text the next day with the wrong time. I had to call again and this time the lady that answered also had an attitude. I explained it and was told the time I had was already booked. No apology and she asked if I was coming in at the time they decided on. No way am I going somewhere so rude and condescending. I really hope the charity never uses this place again for raffle prizes!

I've been going to Shai for about 2 years. My hair has NEVER looked better in my entire life! His haircuts are the best! Recently boarding a plane, the flight attendant stopped to tell my how much she loved my highlights. I constantly get compliments on my hair. The cut is so good that it is easy to maintain the good look..He works well with hair of any length & always has smiling happy customers leaving his salon. A little bit pricey but so worth it!!!

I have naturally ash blonde hair so he said they shouldn't have had a problem....I waited maybe 20-30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, so maybe expect that but I'm telling you Shai is certainly worth the wait!

I have been coming to cut my hair and paint my highlights with Shai for almost 4 years and he is the excelent!! He has an amazing talent to make you look at your best!! I always let him decide how I should have my hair cut and he does an excellent job!! I get a lot of compliments thanks to him!! He really knows how to pick the exact color that will make my hair look shiny, natural and modern!! He is very kind and makes you feel very comfortable. On the down side he is a little pricey and sometimes travels a lot!! But I will definitively recommend him and will continue coming to his salon!!

There is no one, absolutely no one who should touch your hair except Shai. He is the best, the very best. I have been going to Shai for quite a number of years. He is truly an artist when it comes to hair. I would say he performs magic but this is no magic. Shai is a genius. He looks at you and understands what will enhance your beauty. I may enter the salon without a smile but leave glowing and happy. Your hair frames your face and must look great. Shai will make that happen. As I wait I see him work with other people and it is a joy to see. The new salon is elegant and all the staff are most pleasant to deal with. Please do not read those other reviews. Shai did my hair himself and my highlights and cut turned out AMAZING! He listened to everything I wanted and delivered 100%. I definitely recommend this salon to anyone looking for amazing service and a great look. He also gives model discounts so let them know if you are agency represented down here!

My mom swears by this place so I came into get my hair done by Shai himself (who also does her hair). I was so unfortunate to receive a mullet cut and the exact opposite hair color that I asked for. I cried for days and it took moths for the damage to be undone....I may as well have used the flow-be for a better cut. I also got my eyebrows waxed here (also mom's find) and Yasmil (Not good with names, this is about as close as I can get) does a GREAT job...for $25. My eyebrows have never looked nicer.

My first visit to Shai International in Hollywood was an overall great experience! I brought my mom for Mani-Pedi's and we had a ball! I watched Shai transform the appearance of 2 women within a matter of minutes. I couldn't believe how big a difference a hairstyle can make. He really impressed me and was very warm and friendly. We booked our next appointment immediately and are now ""regulars."" I would definitely recommend this Salon to anyone in the local area as well as anyone passing through or on vacation. What a great spot for a pick-me-up! FIVE STARS!

Shai is a very good stylist, however, even if you decide you want him to do your hair, he won't necessarily do it. He will push you off to one of his employees, like he did to me. Unfortunately, his employee messed up my color. When I went back the next time I showed Shai and he that same employee make the correction. I was not happy with the way I was treated and no longer go there. I have heard similar comments from others.

My friend booked the two of us for haircuts with Shai himself. I never got a haircut before coming here, but I let him do what he wanted and it turned out amazing. I love Shai. The cut was hell of expensive though! about $100 =O woah. I DO NOT just throw my money around like that, but believe me... Shai is good. While I wont pay more than $50 anywhere else, I would gladly still shell out the $100 for Shai, but I haven't been able to book him during any of my breaks from college since =/

I always let him decide how I should have my hair cut and he does an excellent job!! I get a lot of compliments thanks to him!! I cried for days and it took moths for the damage to be undone....I may as well have used the flow-be for a better cut. My first visit to Shai International in Hollywood was an overall great experience! I brought my mom for Mani-Pedi's and we had a ball! I watched Shai transform the appearance of 2 women within a matter of minutes. I couldn't believe how big a difference a hairstyle can make. He really impressed me and was very warm and friendly. We booked our next appointment immediately and are now ""regulars."" I would definitely recommend this Salon to anyone in the local area as well as anyone passing through or on vacation. What a great spot for a pick-me-up! FIVE STARS!

Shai is a very good stylist, however, even if you decide you want him to do your hair, he won't necessarily do it. He will push you off to one of his employees, like he did to me. Unfortunately, his employee messed up my color. When I went back the next time I showed Shai and he that same employee make the correction. I was not happy with the way I was treated and no longer go there. I have heard similar comments from others.

My friend booked the two of us for haircuts with Shai himself. I never got a haircut before coming here, but I let him do what he wanted and it turned out amazing. I love Shai. The cut was hell of expensive though! about $100 =O woah. I DO NOT just throw my money around like that, but believe me... Shai is good. While I wont pay more than $50 anywhere else, I would gladly still shell out the $100 for Shai, but I haven't been able to book him during any of my breaks from college since =/
