I moved to Gainesville and didn't know anyone to recommend an amazing facial and microdermabrasion. I've been going to the same incredible woman in Miami for the last 10 years, but after relocating here I needed to figure out who to go to and with caution. I am so thankful that I found Tracy at Pro Tan Nails. She is incredible with her hands and extremely knowledgeable. It's always a little worrisome to go to a stranger that wasn't recommended, but after diligent research I took my chances with her. She left my skin glowing and removed the dark pigmentation I had acquired. I've gotten so many compliments on my skin, and I'm going back today for my fourth session with her. Nice looking place and the people smile a lot, but they're fos! 😒 I went there twice and both times my nails peeled within a week! With a shellac treatment you should be good for 2 weeks! If 0 stars was an option, that would be my real choice. I called a few days ahead and requested an appointment for 5:30 in the afternoon and was told if anything changed I would be notified. When I showed up I had to wait until 6 to get a spot when they took 3 other walk-ins in front of me. Then I asked for a design on my nails and toes in the beginning, during the process they cut two of my cuticles causing blood and at the end they asked me if I could come back the next day for the design because my nail technician had to leave. Well I could not and it was rushed and she left. When another lady put the top coat on the whole design smeared and they refused to re-do it, and even blamed it on me. The manger told me it was fine and was not able to communicate in an effective manner. He was very rude and condescending. They ended up sending me to their second location to have them fix it. I received a Groupon for a deluxe pedicure and deluxe shellac manicure for my birthday. I had a great experience here from the start. I was received with a friendly welcome, and they got me right back to start with the pedicure. Also since I was getting the shellac manicure they just had me pick out the manicure color and one of the other employees picked out a matching pedicure polish. I almost ran barefoot out of this place. I had a panic attack in the pedicure chair at Pro Nails. I had a bad feeling when I saw the Walmart quality nail polish to choose from, and I should have gone with my gut. I sat down in the chair and there were left over toe nail clippings in the tub from the last patron. I told the manicurist and she didn't understand me because she barely spoke any english. I pointed to them and then she cleaned the tub. I reluctantly put my feet in the water and she went about the pedicure. When clipping my nails and cuticles, I was terrified that I was going to get cut. I had to watch my toes like a hawk. Then she barely filed my cut toenails. I had to tell her twice that I did not want a cheese grater (which also did not look sanitized) to my feet. When I was hyperventilating and decided I had enough, I said that I didn't want any polish and that I forgot that I had somewhere to go (I hate confrontation). She slapped a coat of clear polish on and coated my legs with lotion with the consistency of glue. When I was paying - and I had to fork over $25 plus tip for this heinous experience - the person who I assume was the manager rushed over to inquire why I wasn't getting the manicure that I requested too. When I got home, showered the goo off my legs, and finally got to examine my feet, every one of my toes was crooked and jagged. Avoid this place at all cost! Read Less

Professionalism is nonexistent in the salon.I purchased a Groupon for a deluxe pedicure and manicure. Every time I try to make an appointment using the Groupon they told me they were booked. They offered me an appointment five days away; however, when I went to the salon as a walk in on the same day they took me. If they don't want to make appointments for the Groupon price they shouldn't list their business on Groupon. Besides the fact I paid an additional five dollars for a hand treatment, (it's a glove with some type of a treatment  inside of it) she didn't remember to put it on my hand until I was ready to leave. I was looking for a nail shop to call home and boy did I ever find that. Franko which is the shops owner takes his time with each and every nail like an artist. He has good conversation and is very polite. The services you receive are too notch however they don't break the bank. I have been going to them since around probably the end of March beginning of April and I have been pleased for the most part. Frankos wife Tracy is usually the one that does the designs for me whether it be my nails or toes and for the past few times she hasn't been on her game. One particular time I chose an anchor and she messed it up. All in all though this is a great place to call home like I did trust me you won't be disappointed. Felt rushed, they did a bad job... Missed old nail polish, had to get a redo three times BC of the horrible work they did... I just got a simple manacure, and also purchased an acrylic French tip for my friend. The lady who did my manacure was rude to me... I didn't tip either. I will never go back. Read Less

I was very disappointed with the job the guy did on my nails and it took forever. When it finally got down to the polish I looked forward to getting out of there but the polish and top coat they used was so old that it was very thick and too forever to dry. Not very clean. Read Less
