I love this place! After moving up from Miami I tried several places before this one in Gainesville with no luck. Sara is amazing as are the other nail techs. I have yet to have a bad experience! Every time I go I can expect my nails to look flawless and last at least 2 weeks (with gel). Read Less

My bridesmaids, my mother in law, and I got our nails done here for my wedding and they all looked fantastic! I got a manicure and it was the best I've ever gotten! Went in for an overhaul of full gel nails & toes and a wax. I spent two pleasant hours there and left feeling greet. The shop is clean and bright. The products are in good repair and looked like they came out of what I'm guessing is a sanitizing machine before being used on me. Vicky was super friendly and even though there was a steady stream of people, and I was a walk in, I never felt rushed. My nails look great and my wax is perfect. Memorial day weekend discount of 20% for being a veteran was a pleasant bonus at the end of my visit. Read Less

I have been deciding if i should review. I tried this place because of great reviews. So ill just tell my personal experience. I am a licensed cosmetologist and i have had many an acrylic manicure. So super nice lady. I Paid 40 dollars (plus ten tip). She immediately made me bleed but was very apologetic. Several times I had to jerk away so she would stop. I have never experienced pain so i should have known to just leave but anyway I just imagined how uncomfortable that would be and tried to calm down. my nails looked really nice. I asked for almond shaped and got something almond-y, but she politely refused to round the tips, flattening them. They hurt the entire first day and were swollen and sore by the second. It has been 8 days now and they dont actively hurt but they are still sore. Both of my pinky nails are gone already. One popped right off and the over cracked all the way down. I am tough on my nails but I have never had an acrylic. Fingernail pop off after a week. Nor have I had my hands ache aferwards. So please just be careful and pay attention. Read Less

I've have trouble finding a nail place in Gainesville since moving here a year ago but Grand Nails is now my go to place! It is much easier to have an appointment or getting there as soon as they open, but they do a very good job and spend time without feeling rushed for it. Read Less

My first visit here was great. My second, not so much. My pedicure was great, but a different person had to do my manicure. I had a full set done for a wedding. The lady didn't shape my nails how I asked, then she put so much acrylic on them that my hands were hurting from the dried and poorly shaped acrylic cutting into the sides of my fingers. When I asked her to file the sides down she said I asked for them to be that way and I should have told her before she did it. It took her 3+ hours to shape them how she wanted and then she refused to put designs on them like I asked saying she didn't have time. Her poor service just lost them a customer. I returned to having a french nails because my nails just would not grow. I first had Ann whom I remembered from all those years ago. All was well and she quoted me $17.50 for refills. The original set was only $25. Then I get Tanya for a fill two weeks into my new nails and she charges me $30!!! Not only was that a bummer but within a couple days the acrylic started to come off at all the corners Them there is the issue that they ignore the telephone so it is almost impossible to make an appointment.
