I sat down and the dude was done with my pedicure within 15minutes that's with the painting. He did not cut my nails, he could hardly pay attention to me he was to busy looking around at what everyone else was doing. He rubbed my feet raw. Very disappointed with my service. I am from Miami and came into town for a wedding. I searched through yelp and this place seemed to have more positive reviews than negative. Ryan helped me yesterday. His english isn't that great but he did a great gel manicure, was polite, and did a polish change for my feet. The salon looked clean. $27 for Gel manicure and $10 for polish change on my toes. Horrible place!!! Do not go!! They started a friend and mine price to be $80 and when we are leaving told us it was $150 and refused to tell us why the price was that high. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! A friend and I went to get our nails done, They charged us $150 ! without consent. I told them I will only pay for the amount that was stated on the posters ( both came out to $120). We Specifically asked how much would it be for a Gel Fill, Gel Full set, and two pedicures, and eye brow wax, they said $120 we said okay! We get done and they say $150!!! The CHARGED us for shaping the nail AND to put MATTE on our nails. THEY NEVER told us it will be extra EVER!. HORRIBLE customer service, I told them to cancel my transaction and they wouldn't so we took the merchant receipt so they followed us in to the car, PULLED my friend and PUSHED her and took a picture of m tag! Elegant nails is trashy and classless. I asked them to fix my nails that they ruined and they denied me service, even though I was willing to pay. They said they knew how to do some specific style I wanted and completely ruined it. DO NOT GO THERE, THEY HAVE 0 CUSTOMER SERVICE- they pretended not to know how to speak English- and when I started to take pictures of their licenses, they miraculously knew how. Absolutely horrible experience. The first time I went was for SNS. They came out looking very pretty but the top coat became dull within 2 or 3 days and starting chipping in less than a week. I decided to go back a second time to give them another chance. This time, I walked out upset and in pain. The nail tech decided to rip off the SNS instead of soaking my nails and charged me $5 for this, even though I complained about the experience. He left my nails brittle and very sore to the touch. He was also extremely rude when I pointed out that the SNS was bumpy and there were spots that the powder had not adhered. The next day the top coat was chipping. I went back to have them fixed and ended up with a female tech. She was very nice and professional, but the top coat was gone within 3 days. When I went back, I got another male tech who seemed to know what he was doing. I, again, gave them another chance and had my toenails painted. Well, the SNS top coat and my toe polish were chipped within a week. I won't ever come back to this salon. They obviously don't know how to do SNS and shouldn't be doing it at all. Read Less

I love this place! I've been here twice so far with plans to return, once for a fill and once for a full set. Both times I was taken care of immediately with friendly staff. The first time bringing in a design I wanted done from Pinterest and it was done exactly with no problem! They ask my opinion each time and actually care what I want done. I was a walk-in on a late Monday afternoon and got seated immediately. I previously had a horrible job done with broken tips (gel on acrylic) and Lee did a fantastic job. I asked them NOT to peal the old acrylic off but to file it down with the dremel instead because i have thin nails and did not want any unwanted ripping! He was a little confused at first but did great! He also did a small hand massage which they dont always do! As a cosmetologist I totally recommend the shop as it is clean and apparently fully staffed for a Monday. Will definitely be coming back! Read Less

I love this place, it's my go-to nail place in Gainesville. Last time I went they had a polish change for only $6, and they still cut and file your nails, and cut or push back the cuticles. Basically a manicure without the massage or lotion for only $6. I've only had a long wait once, but I did go during a rush time. Other than that, I've never had to wait, and they're always clean and meticulous with your nails. Read Less

I went in and asked for a full set with polish. The color selection was the worst. I mean they had a lot of colors (Essie and OPI) but I'm 99.9% sure that they keep the bottles and fill them in with their own nail color. I'm very familiar with Essie and the pigment and shade of the colors didn't match. 'Chalky' is the best word I could use to describe the colors they had. The person who did my nails didn't really talk to me which is fine because I don't like to be bothered too much but it was awkward to a point. I have really good and large nail beds so usually it's easier for people to work with. I was just looking to enhance my natural nails with a bit of length. I asked for my acrylic nails to be natural looking. They turned out short but stubby, were filed slanted, and just didn't do my natural nails justice.All in all I've gotten acrylic nails done a few times before and this was just a waste of money for me. I went in on a weekday around 5. It wasn't too busy and I was taken right away. I got a regular manicure with polish. The manicure was okay, it was very short and the only massage of my hands was with a very dry sugar scrub. Also, the manicurist only said hello when I sat down but didn't really say a word the rest of the time. I probably wouldn't return...I think I might get more attention to my nails elsewhere. He also put my nails under a fan with a timer and never can back, I just reset the dryer myself when it ended. I feel compelled to review this place because we were hesitant to try it based on the previous low reviews. My mom, sister, and I stopped in Elegant Nails after Magic Nails nearby was packed with only a few workers. We were taken right away, the technicians wore gloves and were very thorough, and we watched them clean the pedicure tubs after. Overall, a good experience. Read Less

I was in there by myself and they were literally five Asian women in there yelling in Chinese, laughing in my direction and literally POINTING at me!!! This is the WORST place in Gainesville. If that wasn't bad enough, he kept telling me I didn't wipe them good enough. WOW. The only reason I stayed was because they were running a "holiday special". So the man continued to give me a pedicure, while there were 2 fly's continuously flying on me. The pedicure sucked. Not to mention the caked up dirt on the floor was so gross. The girl there has a foul mouth, and cursed at one point. When I was ready to go- I found out there holiday special consisted of getting a card that if you come 4 times you get 20% off.
