The best nail salon in Gainesville for these reasons: they always give my wife and me good services or at least they try even though they are really busy. They are really nice and professional. Their nails last a long time compared to other places.To us, it's worthwhile to spend our money here, because they are experienced. We always try to come during the day from Monday to Wednesday to avoid traffic time and long wait or make an appointment. Honestly, we have been with them for serval years now, and we can tell they love their job and want to take care their customers as much as they can. I actually found this place through yelp and I'm so glad that I did. I was looking for a new salon to get my nails done and I think I'm going to stick with this place. The prices are extremely reasonable, it's clean and the nail techs are so nice. My only complaint was that my nail tech missed the sides of my nails while putting on the nail polish. I had to tell him to go back and fill in the sides and even after they weren't filled all the way. Overall, my refill and gel color looks amazing. You can only tell that the sides were missed if you're looking up close. Definitely found my new nail spot in gainesville! Actually wanna get my nails done by Tung next time. Stopped by Classy Nails on a Thursday morning and walked in for a gel manicure. I had a previous gel manicure removed by Tony and had the majority of my gel manicure done by Cathy and finished off by Tung. I love love LOVE the result!! To remove my previous gel and get a new manicure with gel, I paid $30 which I think is very reasonable. Cathy was super helpful when I asked her about if I should get dip powder or gel, and she was very honest and told me that since I already have nice long  nails, the gel would work out just fine for me so I wouldn't have to spend extra money on dip! To remove my previous gel manicure and get dip powder, it would have been $50. I really appreciate how she went out of her way to explain things to me instead of trying to sell me the more expensive option! The staff are all really nice and easy to talk to, and I think that this is going to be my new regular nail place. Cathy told me that on weekends they are super busy so I would need an appointment, but good walk in times would be in the mornings/early afternoon on weekdays. Tung is AMAZING. Has never in almost 3 years been a disappointment. His mother is the best and almost only person I like to do my pedicures. They are always efficient and the salon is always clean. Great job on my gel fill- mediocre pedicure Not only were my toes nipped painfully, but she rubbed lotion on both of my legs in under 2 minutes..skipped the massage entirely and proceeded to rinse the lotion off because she didn't rub it into my skin. They did a great job! I went on a Saturday around 3 and there were not many people there (which was probably because it was UF summer break). Because of that they were a great team so that the best person at each thing did it. One did my pedi, another painted my toes and a third did my mani and nail art. I loved this salon! They have temperature color changing gel nail polish! Coolest thing ever, I'd always get my nails done back in my home town with the same kind of polishes and since then haven't been able to find them, till now  the guy doing my nails was very precise, he measured each finger to make sure they were all the same lengths. He even would start over if he wasn't satisfied with the nail (not a bad thing, at least he is making sure you leave satisfied). I definitely will come back for a fill in. I wanted to get a gel french manicure for graduation, and I decided to give Classy Nails a try because I read its good reviews. I was very pleased with what I got! The younger man (the one who usually answers the phone) did my nails, and it's been almost 3 weeks since I got my nails done, and my nails are still in great condition. There has been no chipping or anything. They got my nails done in a reasonable time, and I would definitely come back to get my nails done again. I have been going to Classy Nails on and off for 2-3 years. The times I wasn't going it was because of life transitions and lack of time. I have tried to try other nail locations in Gainesville, but none compare. At other nail shops in Gainesville my nails break off, start to lift or I end up having other problems that I never have with classy nails. At classy nails my nails grow out perfectly between my two weeks. The only thing with anything is try to reframe from going on Fridays or Saturdays unless you go super early or have an appointment because they can be crazy busy. I started going earlier in the week and have a better wait time. Tung(Tom) usually does my nails, and I have gotten my nails done by other techs there but idk their names. Bad quality acrylics. Constantly breaking and I never break nails. They fixed one that broke THE DAY AFTER I GOT THEM, and then another one broke a day later. I was pissed and I just wanted my money back and they insisted on just trying to fix it and refused to give my money back. I didn't want them to fix it because I've had 2 nails break in less than a week, so clearly they aren't doing them well anyways. I chose this place based off of the good reviews and how close it is to my house. Unfortunately, I'm not thrilled with the results from this salon. I got a gel mani and pedi. My toes were filed unevenly as well as my finger nails. My left hand nails are also longer than my right hands. After numerous requests for him to fix it, I settled for what seemed to be the best it was going to get. I made the mistake of coming to my 5PM appointment late and found that this salon was PACKED. Almost every seat was taken on a Friday afternoon. I ended up not being able to be seen until 5:25PM. I asked my nail technician if he was able to give me a full set of acrylics in half an hour (I had a meeting at 6PM) and to my surprise he confidently said he could.He ended up finishing my nails in about 25min and they came out amazing! It was about $35 (not counting tip) for the full set gel with white tips. I was not initially planning on dropping that much money on my nails but I was so impressed by my technician's speed that I didn't mind. There was also a younger male technician there (he usually answers the phone) that was super friendly and outgoing. He made me and the other customers feel very welcome and comfortable. He is the most engaging nail technician I have ever met.Unfortunately, I don't remember the names of either technicians. However, I plan on going back to find out. I was searching and searching for a good nail salon in Gville. I think I stalked Yelp for awhile, but I unfortunately always look over this place. For some reason one time I clicked on it and even though it only had 5 reviews, but it was a strong 5 reviews so I decided to give it a try. I called at 10:15am on a Monday to see if they could see me aftet I got off work and I got an appt no problem. When I got there, I waited about 5 mins before someone took me which was fine because they were pretty busy. I needed a gel manicure for a conference I was about to go to. I picked out my classic red color and sat down. Kathy was amazing! She took time to reshape my nails into the round shape I like plus took time to repair one of my thumb nails that had started to crack. Once she was done I was beyond happy! I'm super picky when it comes to my nails - I have a certain red shade I love and I don't like paying a forture, plus I don't like my nails chipping so quickly after I get them done (which is why finding a nail salon is so difficult). This place is super close to my house, but it's located in a small plaza that doesn't look too hot on the outside, so I never thought to go in. After scouring the Internet looking for a great nail place that wouldn't charge a fortune, I stumbled across their portfolio on Facebook and knew I had to check this place out, and I'm so happy I did! I came to them with awful looking nails that hadn't been done in 3 months, but they treated me very politely and were happy to help me in making my nails fabulous again! Tung did my nails and they came out better than I could have imagined. It's important to note that this isn't a place that wants to take your money and send you off. Tung is a great nail tech, and actually cares about the health of your nails! The salon I had been going to previously destroyed my nails without me realizing, because it was my first experience with acrylic and I didn't know what to expect. Tung recommended treatments to heal them, and said that he wouldn't do anything rough to them until they were healed. I appreciate that kind of treatment! During my visit, there was also a young woman next to me who had her nails done by another one of their artists, and they looked amazing! I have been to classy nails for over a year. Tung has always done a great job on my nails. I'm sad to say after today I won't return there ever again. The lady people call "MaMa" has been up-charging me for the past year or more. She never once notified me of these charges. Today I noticed my total was too high. She then informed me that she charge me more for a simple chin wax. The wax on the price list is only $7-$8. She has been charging me $15!!!!! I'm beyond pissed at th...e amount of money Classy Nails has stolen for me. That's $200 over the last year and half she has charged me without informing me. Best manicure I've ever had.  I came here because 1) it's about 30 seconds from where I work, and 2) because of the other yelp reviews.  The manicure was abseloutely meticulous... she really took her time.  The selection of polish colors is extensive; I like a sheer, jelly-like pink (see pic) rather than a milky pink, and they understood exactly what I meant AND had the perfect color.  I also like a straight line rather than a curved-- no problem.  Finally, a place with friendly staff that listens, quality work AND great prices.
