After the amazing customer service we had at David’s club (ask for Kim.... she was so nice and so awesome) we decided that this was going to be our once a month getaway for one night to spend close to home so we could enjoy ourselves with a relaxing massage the next day before heading back to the real world. After speaking with the spa personnel we will be booking our monthly stays elsewhere. This was a 5 star review that quickly went south. If you enjoy paying for people to be snippy and rude this spa is your spot! Read Less

Usually when I'm staying in resorts, getting a service at a spa is a little bit too expensive for me. I try to keep my massages and facials under $100 or else I truly can't enjoy it with the high-price tag. Unless of course... It's a gift! I always ask, however, if you can purchase a day pass and just use the amenities. That way for the entire day you can come and go as you please and use anything there. It's still provides the relaxation that I need without the service. This particular spa allowed you to pay $30 to use the facilities all day. Once I heard that, I jumped right on it. I was debating whether or not to go to Disney, then I read the weather forecast and said it was going to rain all day which led me to decide to have a pool/spa day until I had to go to work later that evening. The people at the spa we are so incredibly kind. Shout out to Yubelisky, who recommended using the rainforest shower. You must do that! It was my first time, and unforgettable. Two words... Coconut water. Not the kind you buy at a convenience store, coconut infused water. They have that at the salon and I was obsessed. I think I may have drank the entire jug. When I told the employees about my obsession, they recommended I buy the coconut drops that they use to infuse the water. It's a dietary supplement and it's supposed to hydrate you more than regular water and also boost your metabolism. I bought that-price tag-$22 plus tax. Of course I never leave anywhere empty-handed! I do it for the Yelp reviews... I must say, to purchase a day pass for $30, it is very relaxing and they take care of you so well there, but the only amenities to really enjoy is a steam room, hot tub, & shower. The dry sauna is located over in the Men's section and they don't tell you that ahead of time. They also have a quiet relaxation room with the tea, coffee, and snacks. I enjoyed that portion because it's not often that I get quiet time in such a relaxing environment. I loved the hot tub and I loved steam room, I just wish there was a few more things there to enjoy. Overall, it is a very small spa. I left after my spa experience to go to my room to grab toiletries and so I could enjoy the rainforest shower. That was incredible! It made it worth the $30 and the kindness that everyone showed me. I got to do a shout out to my girl-Carmen, she was my spa hostess who helped me with everything and we kept getting into so many conversations about Puerto Rico, her family is living there currently and my family and I just had a vacation there, and she said she was going on vacation with her son. I ended up returning with a tip and a note that said "take your son out!" I thoroughly enjoyed the spa experience and not just for the spa itself, but for the experience, as always! I recommend trying this place out if you're at the resort. Every person enjoys a spa experience. One more shout out, to Chris who recommended a breakfast spot for the next morning at the resort. I ended up going and enjoying it. That Yelp review will come tomorrow! Enjoy. Read Less

I was staying with a friend who was there for a conference, and we decided to have a spa day. The spa is nice and welcoming. A big plus for me is that it is a wet spa, steam room and whirlpool and showers which you can access for the full day of your appointment. As you would expect in an hotel spa, they offered plush robes and nice refreshments. I particularly loved the coconut water! A couple of points to note, the shoes were ridiculous. Only two sizes seem to be available, super big or super small.  I'm sure part of the reason is that they are certain that no one will take them home with them!  They could really use more hooks for towels and robes outside of steam room, and there is no trashcan for used tissues or cups and no place to put your wet towels near the steam room. But, all of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful! On to the massages. Sita did a lovely job on my massage, very experienced, hit all the right spots; however, as is common when you buy a spa massage, when you get into the room, the therapist always offers you the add-ons. I did opt for the head massage with Moroccan oil's. I have found these to be wonderfully relaxing. What I did not expect , though I should have asked, is that the add-on did not extend the time spent. My 50 minute massage it was still a total of 50 minutes, so the head massage took away from the rest of my massage time rather than adding on at the end. To make me feel worse about my extra $25 spend, it was not that great of a head massage. It felt more like she was just placing oil in my hair. Very disappointing! But, other than the head massage she did an excellent job. The price was well more than I would have spent had I been using someone near my home, but the convenience and all day use of the spa made that price seem acceptable. Read Less

The couples' massage that my husband and I got for our 11th wedding anniversary was lovely. The robes were a bit tattered and worn down on the outside, but on the inside, they were clean, fluffy, and soft. The far left toilet in the ladies side would not flush and it wasn't clear where I was to leave their spa slippers after the service was done. The spa ambience was great; as soon as you step in, the wonderful aromas engulf you and the mood/decor brings on a feeling of elegance & relaxation. The front desk staff gentleman was professional, approachable, helpful, & friendly. Our therapists, Tracey & Robert were great. It surprised us that a 17% tip was already automatically included with the bill as we would have tipped 20% in cash. We were also disappointed that we couldn't hang out and eat nuts/sip tea in the same lounge; they separated the women and men's amenities.  After the massage, we ate at Zen's, which was in the same building (over priced and small portions compared to Chinatown, but delicious and friendly service).  Another plus is that the spa validated our parking, which meant we had free parking in the resort lot.  Overall, it was a luxurious couples' massage and we'd go there again. Next time, we'll probably stay in the Omni Hotel & Resort, which is where the spa is located; that way we can just go back upstairs and nap. Read Less

This was the perfect escape for my birthday!  It was quite a distance for me and highly recommend that if you are a local , book your appointments so that your drive doesn't coincide with morning traffic!I had been to the Mokara Spa at the Omni Spa in Nashville so when I found out they had one in Orlando I booked ahead of time. I went with the Mokara Body Quench Ritual followed by 50 minute Mokara signature massage.  Upon checkin, I was brought to the womens locker room. I was assigned a locker (which has a secure combo lock) with a robe and slippers to use during your visit. There are also showers, a relaxing lounge area, a whirlpool and steam room for your use the entire day. After changing into my robe, I made use of the steam room until it was time for me to head to the lounge area to wait for my massage therapist. Amanda was my therapist for both treatments which was great because one treatment transitioned to the next . There was no moving from room to room. I chose "Sun" as my scent for both treatments.  The Body quench treatment is essentially a body exfoliating treatment (akin to a scrub treatment) where you are wrapped in a warm cocoon. Amanda asked if I was claustrophobic before wrapping me. I appreciated that- I wasn't but it was good that she was aware that not every client is the same. As she transitioned to the massage, I'm sure I dozed in and out of consciousness. So, sooo relaxing. Towards the end, she incorporated hot stones and made sure I was ok with. Loved it! Unfortunately, the time goes so fast and before you know it, you're being slowly woken up. The great thing is that you are encouraged to take advantage of their spa for the remainder of the day so I made good use out of the whirlpool and steam room. The spa was rather empty so I had mostly all to myself! The few clients I saw were in and out. The lounge was great for relaxing and setting your feet up. They have complimentary tea and water and some light nibbles like almonds and trail mix .  IT was nice to take time to relax, unwind and just close my eyes. At checkout, they will present you with some items that your therapist has pulled as suggestions to purchase since they were used during your treatment.  I normally skip this part but ended up buying a few items I commented on that I liked. Sometimes it's nice to treat yourself!  The nice part is that they added some samples to my bag to try out as well.   Wonderful experience all the way around with attentive service and staff making my birthday so very memorable. I would gladly come here again. Side note:  I self parked and they validated . There is also the option to valet park too. Read Less

I was lucky enough to be able to visit the Mokara Spa last weekend and experience all they have to offer. The Mokara spa has 10 treatment rooms and a salon with 2 hair stations, and 2 manicure & pedicure stations. I was scheduled for their 50 minute Mokara Signature Massage. Upon checking in for my appointment I was brought over to a beautiful display to start my "scent journey." They have 6 scents to chose from - Madarin, Fresh, Sun, Ore, Oolong, and Earth. Once you pick your scent it will be used throughout all of your spa services. I decided to go with Sun, which had a light vanilla scent to it. Once I picked my scent I was sent into the locker room with Carmen, who showed me the ropes and made sure I was taken care of.Carmen showed me to my locked and inside was the most luxurious robe I've ever had the pleasure of wearing. One of my favorite things about visiting spas are the robes. There is just something about being in a big fluffy robe that instantly puts you at ease, and this robe was no different. As soon as I was in my robe all I wanted to do was curl up and take a nap! But there was too much to enjoy before my massage to nap. Carmen showed me the whirlpool, steam room, and the tea lounge - all of which I took advantage of before my massage. I found out that the robes with the Mokara logo are available for purchase in the spa for $95. I'm really thinking this needs to be on my Christmas list.Since I was early for my massage but there after the appointments before mine had started I pretty much had the the place to myself. I was at the spa after a race and immediate knew that I needed to spend some time in the whirlpool. After I almost fell asleep in there I decided to make a quick trip to the steam room before taking a shower. The Mokara spa has everything you could want or need while you are there. I grabbed a big fluffy towel and treated myself to an unusually long shower before getting back into my robe. A quick stop in the powder room just reinforced how on top of things there were. The counter was full of everything you might need - lotion, hair gel, hair spray, q-tips, mouthwash, razors, and even a hair drier. With about 15 minutes left until my massage I decided to head to the tea lounge, their waiting area, and enjoy a cup of tea. I made myself a cup of Tea Forte Skin Smart Coconut tea and sat down in one of the many over-sized chairs. You can pick up an assorted box of 10 for $16.50 in the spa (another good Christmas gift idea). It wasn't long before I was snuggled in and ready for that nap. Thankfully my masseuse Debbie showed up just in time and caught me before I was out cold.I need to stop here and point our the amazing attention to personal detail at the Mokara Spa. When I made my appointment I mentioned that I would be coming straight from a race. As I was checking in that morning the Spa manager asked me about my race and how it went. When Debbie came to get me for my massage she also knew about my run that morning and asked me about it. On the way to the treatment room we talked about the aches and pains I was currently experiencing and that she'd make sure to address those during the massage.I have to say that this was by far the best massage I've ever had. From the heated massage tables, to Debbie's attention to my sore areas, to the steam towels that were wrapped around my feet after the thorough foot massage - it was all amazing. Read Less

Read Less
