Found this salon while I was looking for someone who can do an amazing dye job. I read a lot of reviews about the blonde master, AKA Harold Egan! I didn't get my hair done (yet) but from the pics & using my cousin as a guinea pig first, I must say I think I found my "the one" hairstylist. Before we booked my cousin's appointment, we both came in for a free hair consult & he was so nice about it. He listened to what we wanted & gave his honest input about what would look good. I think that's great considering you usually come in & tell the hairstylist you want this and they just do it without telling you beforehand if it's gonna look good or not! Harold definitely looks out for you. As for the rest of the salon, the place is faaaaancy. They offer you tea or water while you wait & have these nice robes for you to put on while you get your hair done. It's located a bit further down from the galleria mall but it's connected through a parking garage. Straight across from Starbucks & near other restaurants (Truluck's, Blue Martini, PF Changs). First visit and first impressions of the Red Door Salon at The Galleria= a five star experience. Reserved garage parking is a nice start to a relaxing experience.I made an appointment in June for hair repair; more specifically a chance to restore my once highlighted brunette hair that had oxidized and turned various shades of red and orange. My appointment was scheduled professionally and courteously, and a reminder was sent via email helping us stay organized. Upon arrival, I was greeted and seated, then given a tour of the salon and spa rooms.I was soon thereafter introduced to my stylist, Julio B., and began to describe and explain my color goals. I had inquired about Olaplex over the phone, and it was noted and discussed with me during my consultation. Julio used some in my hair to build strength and condition color damaged hair. He took the time to understand what I was looking for, and the results matched up to the expectations! The color and highlights (partial) were blended and of rich color, while the blow out left my hair silky and flowing. It was raining hard on this evening, so I wore a clear cap to protect my new do from the elements until I was home with dry, bouncy brunette hair. Came in for color.  The staff was friendly and attentive and the colorist/stylist Harold was amazing! After a consultation including my hair history( very important) Harold decided it was in my best interest to not do color at this time.  Wow!!!! I was amazed at the honesty and true concern for my hair health.  For this visit we opted for Olaplex treatment and trim.  Fantastic!!! You get what you pay for and it's worth every penny.  Amanda was amazing, listened to what i wanted and also  pictures.  Definitely took her time, never felt that they were trying to get me out the door.  I had foil highlights,  balayage and the olaplex (?) treatment.  Looks amazing the compliments  keep coming and my boyfriend said i finally found a salon.  Norman did my blow out and flat iron, boy he's patient.  I have plenty of hair and once again i didn't feel like they were trying to get me out the door.  The attention (blankets, beverages, snacks) are all pluses but leaving incredibly happy and actually looking forward to returning is what hits  the mark in my book.  Thank you to Amanda, Norman and the assistant(long blonde hair, don't know her name) that was always attentive to  beverages and comfort . After relocating to Florida I struggled to find a hair dresser that gave a perfect cut and color. I tried multiple (aprox 6 people) and then went to Red door. Was assigned to Jessalyn. Perfect color and my hair was cut/styled exactly as I wanted. She has done a great job several times now and I am so pleased with her. Also very friendly and I enjoy the quick visits. Would highly recommend asking for her. For nails I like Ayesha. I get the gel and it lasts a lifetime. I type heavily at work and am very hard on my hands at home (gardening, fishing, the gym, etc) and longevity in my polish is important. They are always perfectly shaped and painted. Service and professionalism was great, HOW EVER! I called to ask how much a men's extra short hair cut was and I was told 50$. Booked an appointment, arrived, got greeted and brought to the waiting area and got a great trim. Only at the cash register was I told that the person who cut my hair was a specialist and so the cut would be 60$ instead of 50$. This is unethical and is taking advantage of unaware consumers. It's unrealistic for me to have to ask "Have I been given a specialist and will his cost more?". Highly recommend you look into a method that avoids this happening and confirm if the guest asked for a specialist or not. 70$ haircut after gratuity is exaggerated and ridiculous. I don't even pay that in NYC. Questioning whether or not I'd return.Read Less

I submitted my complaint below through these three emails (redoorftlauderdale@there…, guestrelations@thereddoo… and [email protected]) twice with no response so I wanted to share on yelp so hopefully others don't have to experience the same issue.  See my email to them below.  I just completed my signature 50 minute massage and I was hoping you could pass my email on to the manager there.  As you can see I have been a client there for years and have always gotten the Swedish or signature massage. Today I am questioning returning to red door ever. My masseuse Rene was very nice and the room was relaxing but the massage felt like she was just lightly rubbing the oil onto my skin. There was Zero pressure on my muscles. I'm not sure how you can change $130 and call that a massage. Such a disappointment. Rene asked me twice how the pressure was and I said you can go firmer, I like a harder massage. Still, she continued to lightly touch my skin.  At the end she suggested a do a deep tissue next time if I want firmer pressure. I have had over 20 Swedish massages there and never have I thought I needed a deep tissue instead.  I don't go for massages often as they are pricey and a special treat every once in a while.  Today made me consider trying somewhere different next time so I don't waste my money on something that is not enjoyable. I have been going to Harold (master colorist) for about a year now. I can't even put into words how amazing he really is. I found him on Instagram and his before & after pics speak for themselves. He brought my brassy blonde back to life without damage, using Olaplex. If you're a blonde and you are bleaching your hair, olaplex will protect your hair from breakage, so if your stylist isn't using this, think twice! Harold takes his time every time I'm in his chair and gives me his full attention, which for me is a huuuge plus ++++ since many stylists over book themselves and that's when hair disasters happen. I visited the Red Door Spa for the first time yesterday and I am still kicking myself for never going before. What a treat! To start, garage parking was a breeze with reserved spots for Red Door Spa guests and a close entrance - look for the red door. The receptionist checked us in quickly and led us back to the locker rooms complete with plush robes, sandals, automated lockers, spa treats/drinks, etc. The treatment form was minimal, which was definitely appreciated. The relaxation room was spacious but did get a little loud with all of the holiday guests. I opted for a 50 minute signature deep tissue massage and I'm certain it was the best massage I've ever received. John was professional, incredibly sweet and worked wonders on my neck/shoulders. If he didn't have another appointment after mine, I would've paid for another massage with him. The price is more than other spas in the area, but I definitely felt like it was worth every penny. Had an amazing 50 min Swedish massage this morning! It was such a pleasant experience from the moment I walked in. Daissy Ortiz has magical hands-gave me the most pleasant massage - she was very thorough with explaining everything to me and was great with paying close attention to where I wanted extra attention as to the massage. I will definitely  be returning here- I have been to other places for massages -but this was such a wonderful experience. All stress and worries fly right out your mind once you walk into those doors and that is Just what I needed at the given time! I have finally found my way into nirvana. Bianka gave me the most wonderful experience. She sent me into a relaxation deeper than humanly imaginable. Her professionalism and skill was a thing of beauty. While melting into pure bliss, she made sure that I had everything needed. There is reason to believe her hands are made of magic. How else can I explain such a wonderful experience? For those 60 minutes, time stopped and everything wrong in life was forgotten. Some people are okay with mediocre. If you find that to be true, do not waste your time because Bianka will only give you perfection. But, if you want to have a glimpse into heaven, just schedule an hour session with her. First of all let me tell you that you will never regret going to Saida for your hair cut -- she is truly the best of the bests at her job! I have never been able to be so happy about my hair! I get so many compliments about my hair even from strangers ! Saida has been my stylist back when she lived in NJ and she was so popular here! It was really hard to get an appointment with her as she was always booked and you had to call in advance. Now she relocated to Fort Lauderdale and I still haven't been able to find a replacement for her. I recently traveled to Fort Lauderdale for vacation and I was able to get an appointment with her the day I arrived. She is so approachable , outgoing and makes the experience more enjoyable. She is very professional and really knows how to make her client happy. You will never regret picking her ! I had the signature red spa pedicure.  It was really relaxing.  They started off with providing a warm neck pillow and a wonderful cup of tea.  The pedicure included the works and was quite nice.  I really enjoyed the warm cream massage.  I am giving a four instead of five because I think it is quite pricy but I left feeling relaxed and happy which is priceless Read Less

I went on a Monday for the Red Door Signature Pedicure-  65 minute full pedicure with foot soak, double callus removal, scrub, hot towel wrap,  massage with beeswax and shea butter, foot massage, paraffin treatment, and finished with  Essie polish of choice.  This was a $74 service.  When I arrived, they warmly greeted me and took me on a tour of the changing room, relaxation room, & dining area.  It is a beautiful facility and you feel relaxed just walking through it with the dim lighting and soothing music.  I had a 2pm appointment and they were ready for me.I chose my polish and then Patricia  (nail specialist) greeted me and took me to the pedicure chair.  It reclines and has a vibrating back massager.  There are curtains to separate you from the next chair.  They offer you fresh flavored water....the flavor that day was watermelon.  It was refreshing.  All the tools they use come out of a wrapper so you know they are clean.  They apply the sanding adhesive to the tool so you know the sander is only used on your foot.  They do offer gel polish if you want it.  My procedure was very relaxing.  They start you out by applying a warm pillow to your neck and soaking your feet in warm water.  The massage was a good amount of time.  The paraffin treatment leaves you about 10 minutes to just completely relax as the wax hardens on your feet. There is parking right in front of the entrance.  You don't have to park and walk through the mall to get to the spa.  They sell products also. All the staff are very professional and friendly. Overall, it was a great experience and well worth the money when you compare the high quality and cleanliness of the service to other nearby salons. Read Less

I was just in Ft Lauderdale for a vacation, and went for a 50 min. red door signature massage and a warm cream manicure at the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa attached to the Galleria mall. Both services were wonderful -- and the whole atmosphere at the spa is extremely relaxing and rejuvenating. Jane was my massage therapist, and I highly recommend her -- she asked me some questions to get a sense of what kind of massage I was looking for and really listened -- the pressure was just right and she got the knots out in the places I typically hold tension -- there was some aromatherapy included in the massage as well, which I love. I really didn't want the 50 minutes to ever end! My manicure with Natasha was great as well - she took her time with me to do a thorough job. I will definitely go back next time I'm in town! Read Less
