I get my nails done by Henry and they get done really well and come out beautiful! The only thing is that he doesn’t talk to you at all, he’s constantly on his phone chatting to other people which I find very rude and also just comes off with a rude gesture when you’re trying to explain exactly what you want, so it’s always best to just show him a picture which sucks because I want something different in my own creativity thinking. I recently moved down the street from Palm Beach Nails, and after seeing the positive reviews I decided to leave my regular nail salon to try something new. 10/10 would recommend this salon. I came in with a loose idea of the color I wanted but I couldn't find it in the NexGen colors, so Michael made the color by putting a base of black and a blue on top of it - it made the most gorgeous deep navy blue. He suggested I try something new and convinced me to do an ombré of silver and navy on my ring fingers and it looked AMAZING!! Great salon, friendly staff, talented nail artists. I have gone to Palm beach nails for a while and have overlooked the complete unprofessionalism of Henry.  At new years he was 'behind' and couldn't do my nails even though I had an appointment and yesterday he did the same thing.  I showed up for my appointment on time and he said he was 'behind, and could his girlfriend do my nails?' When I said "no because when he did that at New Years, my nails looked awful and my own nails started lifting off the nail bed" he said "well I don't know what we are going to do because I am behind."   And indicated he would not be doing my nails because he can't manage his time effectively.  I don't understand how people can make appointments and not honor them.   He is unprofessional and I will not be back. I came for nexgen nails after seeing my friends nails on instagram by Henry. When I got there I sat down in the nail technician's seat JULIE A. She didn't bother to look up from her phone at all while I soaked my nails nor did she acknowledge me which made me feel super uncomfortable, B. When I told her I was doing ombré nails she kicked me out of her chair and after a 3 pm appointment I waited another 30 to then get my nails done. When the next technician was ready there was no apology from the receptionist just a "go sit there." The girl who did my nails (next to Henry) was very talented and nice so it's obviously not her fault but I would never go back or recommend anyone go there even though Henry and his sister are probably the most talented nail gurus I've ever met! It's very hard to find a new nail salon, but I think I found a little gem in a strip mall  across from The Girls in Delray.. I went here twice and had Michael the owner do my nails..I originally went for an Acrylic fill in, but got talked into Nexgen.. and boy, am I glad I did ... My friend and I were leaving on a cruise the next day and had a busy day planned so we looked on yelp for the closest salon with the highest rating with reasonable prices. We both wanted gel shellac manicure and pedicures. We called before coming in to see if they had time.. the girl said come right on in. When we got there we did have to wait about 15 min before someone starting on us. The color selection was just OK compared to other salons I've been to but we were able to find one. We should have known to leave after about 4 or 5 customers came in and were complaining that their nails chipped after just one or two days and wanted them to fix it. They were short staffed on Sunday's so the manager was sending those people away to come back when more people were there to fix it! We stayed anyways... to our disappointment our nails turned out like crap. The tech barely cleaned up our cuticles and didn't clean under our nails so the gel on top looks dirty. I have been getting my pedicure here for almost a year. Yesterday I went with my daughter we called at 10am for a 4 pm appt. When I got there the 12 yr old receptionist pretty much ignored us. Then the manager or owner told me my pedicure person doesn't work after 4 she leaves at 4.I asked why I wasn't told or called they didn't care .I waited till 4 they had me go back , then when I repeatedly asked they finally said at 4:30 there was no one to work on me. While I sat in the foot tub I noticed by the faucet the filth and grime. My daughter was sitting starting her manicure , I left they didn't care. My daughter apologized to her worker went to leave and respectfully told the girl at front that she should really have apologized like she cared. An other worker stood up , happens to be the girls mother and started in with my daughter. I have been in an extremely stressful situation and needed a break. I found Palm Beach Nail Salon here on Yelp and decided to take a chance. Even though I was a walk-in, I was taken immediately. My nail technician was Amy and she was wonderful. I opted for the deluxe pedicure and I'm glad I did. Any was thorough but gentle, which I appreciated. It was a relaxing experience and a bit of my sanity was saved. To top it off, Amy painted little flowers on the big toes. Why do I drive over 12 miles to get my nexgen and pedicure done,  my nails and toes always look amazing and it lasts about 3 weeks. Really high prices are disappointing nails. My first time here was yesterday and got a full set of ombré nexgen nails. For $55 I expected them to be great yet the ombré ended up looking more like layers, the nails were slightly different shapes/lengths, and on top of that less than 24 hours after I got them one snapped in half from pulling out a drawer!!!! Ridiculous. Went back to get it fixed and they tried to "patch" it which ended up making it look even more botched than before.Manager let me get the nail redone but it still doesn't make up for all that unnessesary time spent.UPDATE: after 3 days, 3 nails have broken. I'm a Miami native whom was visiting a relative in Delray when I drove by the salon and decided to take a chance as a walk in on a Sunday and to my surprise I had the BEST FULL SET OF ACRYLIC'S IVE EVER HAD DONE IN MY Life!! Michael did my nails and he is SUPERB!!!  I had an eyebrow wax with Lillannli ....I think her name was.... and she did my brows perfect!! If I didn't live in South Miami I would drive from Miami just to have Michael do my acrylics!!! That's how good he is!!!!  BUT, I live 1 hr and 35 min awayA totally bummer!! I came in to get a set of gel nails done by Henry, and they turned out wonderful! The experience was ok, but with in 8 days 3 of my nails broke. Now I know what you're thinking, the breaks probably occurred from force but that is not nearly the case. One of them broke while I was washing my hands. I called the salon to speak with Mikol to let him know that since I last saw him as a new client having a nexgen mani done (roughly a week ago), five nails have chipped or broke. I was very pleasant when speaking with him and inquiring how I could be accommodated. I was told that he would need to see the nails to determine whether they broke own their own or if I broke them. I told him I would never break my own nails. I thought that was a very unapologetic response. Also, h...ow would one tell if they broke on purpose or by accident? Mikol stated that If determined they were broken by accident he would fix all the nails. I was happy with that, however when I asked when he was available he suggested I make an appointment with someone else or someone who is "good" as he put it. I asked him if that means "he" is not good? He stated he wouldn't want to work on my nails again if they mostly all broke after a week. I questioned what that means about the integrity of his business and his work. I was willing to giving him and the salon another chance and was hopeful they would come out just as beautiful as the first time and hopefully hold up better. I was giving him the benefit of the doubt but I see his was not. I thought this was pretty horrible customer service and should have been handled differently. Good choice of nails colors. Service is sub par. i think it is a hit or miss with this place, but i'm not wiling to keep spending my money here to figure out who is worth it. My first time here a few months back, I got a gel manicure, 2 days after, they began peeling off. i went back and thankfully they were willing to have another technician fix it. My next visit, this past weekend, my boyfriend and i got pedicures. I have been having a string of sub par services at different salons so i explained to the technician before doing my pedicure that it was really important to me she be thorough and remove  all the dead skin. She was a young girl, probably still in high school. She acknowledged my request, but did the complete opposite. My pedicure looked like it was a week old, nail polish was applied sloppily. It was awful the lady practically burned me, ripped my toenail off that I warned her was split and not to touch it, then no massage and didn't scrape the bottom of my feet to remove dead skin. I went in after having a terrible experience with Venetian Nails. I explained everything to the receptionist and she put me with Michael. He did a fantastic job on my nail. They are shaped evenly and are the perfect thickness. He did an absolutely beautiful job. Took off my acrylics for another full set after getting a fill from here and it breaks my heart to see these bad boys. It was not a pleasant discovery and i'm sure one picture proves more than a thousand words. A mid age lady did my fills when i came in, and it was a quick fill. From the way she takes my acrylics off to the way she paints my nails was not what i would have expected from all the nice reviews below. The fill was lumpy and the paint job was very "inconsiderate". Missing spots and the top part of the paint job was not rounded as i want it to be until i spoke up and asked the tech to round it up with the acrylics driller. I came here on Thursday for a mani/pedi, its Sunday my nails are already peeling.  It's the worst manicure I ever had! The girlDidn't even clean around my nails, she turned off her light and said let's go doYour feet!!!!  I said what??? Aren't u going to clean around my nails, she also didn't massage my forearms only my hands and literally for she touched them Verses "massaged " them!  She also had me criss cross my  hands to dry then when there was an available dryer right next to me that no one was using!!   The pedicure was horrific, the water scolding, you would think they would check it first!! Rude, rude, rude! I'm sitting here drying my nails and can't believe how rude the staff is here. We had an appt with Henry. After 20 mins they told us there was one person still in front of us and btw..he doesn't do anyone who is not getting designs on their nails. When I told them we would wait and asked how long they thought it would be the receptionist told me to "ask him yourself"Another lady waited 45 mins and went to the desk to complain. At that, the other male nail tech told her "It's s holiday...stop complaining" The woman stormed out and the people around me were amazed at how the staff here treats the customers. Okay so I have been coming here for about two years.They have a beautifully updated shop!!Love the staff, I have had my nails done with multiple tech's and love them all!Jason does a great job with pedicures and gel!Henry is an artist with nexgen, and Sophie does amazing facials!Every single person is so nice and welcoming.If you have any issue with your nails they will rectify the situation immediately!The only downfall is that they get really busy on the weekends, try and call ahead to see if they can fit you in! This happened OVER 3 years ago because there hasn't been a bank next door for the past 3 years. These are 2 separate situations twisted. There is completely different management and nail techs. The new management has completely turned the place around in a GOOD WAY. I always enjoy my time in there. Mikol the manager is so professional and charming. You shouldn't sit here and mislead people because this nail salon is one of the best and the new management is superior and unlike anywhere else. I WAS ROBBED BY ONE OF THE MANICURISTS  who went into my purse and stole a few hundred dollars out of my wallet when I went to go wash my hands. I realized this when I went to the bank next door to make a deposit and the money was missing. The first time I came here was three weeks ago and they insisted that I get a whole new set of nails when all I needed was a fill and I came back today to get a fill and the owner tried to convince me to get a whole new set again and I declined as all I needed was a fill, the nails are brand new. My nails are currently square, I change shape every time I get them done. I let them know that I would like them 'almond shape' this time... After spending 10 minutes explaining to him what almond shape is (TO THE OWNER...HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW???) and he informed me that it was going to be $10 just to change the shape. I'll be going back to the place where I have always went which is **EQUISITE NAILS** in Deerfield Beach and they are amazing and they have a clue what you're doing and are not just about to get your money. OH...MY...GOD...I love this place and will not go anywhere else moving forward. It was my first time here. This is truly a gem. I was a walk-in and greeted immediately. I waited less than 5 minutes to get started with the process. I originally went to do a nextgen fill, but they don't do fills for that and explained why. My nail tech was Mikol, who is also the manager, and he was amazing. All the staff was really friendly and I was able to communicate really well with everyone. They are the only place for miles who can do ombre colors with nextgen, and I hadn't even realized that was an option. I am hosting a baby shower next week, so I got blue and white glitter, for the colors of the shower. They came out absolutely incredible and I can't stop staring at my nails!!! Not only are their technicians the best, but if you have an appointment, you actually have one -- I've never waited more than 5 minutes. I moved here about a year ago - after so many years of doing acrylic and damaging my own nails - I was referred to this place by my niece. I met Henry and he convinced me to try Nexgen. A year later I'm happy to say I have my own nails. My pedicure is done by Julie whose awesome and my facials by Sofia. This place is unprofessional I had two incidents with this place I gave them a second chance and the disappointed once again. Please save your money and go somewhere else. The first incident they set me up with this young guy who obviously didn't want to work there (family must of force him to) he was very unprofessional, talking about doing coke. Go and get pampered! I've been coming here for a long time and continue to get the best service. I used to use the gel polish but have switched to the new product called NEXGEN. It is the best! It is light on my nails, there are alot of colors to choose from. It is powder based so the color is all the way through and best of all, they don't have to file my nails down and weaken them to use them. The staff is friendly and helpful and take their time to do it right the first time. They have a Mon, Tues, Wed. mani/pedi special if you pay cash. I had unfortunately used a local salon two weeks prior even despite my friend telling me how great PBNails was. Well, to put it mildly, it was the worst pink and white job I had ever had. Last week I called Palm Beach Nails and was fortunate enough to get Jay as my technician. He had to do CONSIDERABLE repair to my nails in order to repair and reshape them. I was AMAZED by his talent, the quality and how beautiful my nails were when he was finished. .. he could have easily made me remove all of them or charged me for repairs, but he didn't, he transformed my nails into beautiful, perfectly shaped and exactly as thin as I requested. Everyone I met that day were so nice, the place is very clean and sterile and the pedi chairs are to die for!!!!!!! Jay has a faithful client for life. I chose this salon because of the good reviews. One always wonders if it is just their friends trying to pump them up. Here was my experience. I made a 10 AM appointment over the internet via Centzy Concierge for a mani-pedi. They open at 10 AM and I was the first one there when I arrived at 9:58 AM. A few minutes later some of the nail techs and other customers arrived. The owner opened the door at 10:10 AM. Even though I was the first one there I was the last one served even after someone who thought she had an appointment but did not. I was then told that I did not have an appointment as they do not make appointments on line, but that they could do the mani-pedi. While I was sitting out front waitng for the place to open the conversation indicated that the owners name was Jason so I'm not sure if this is a recent change as so many of the reviews mention Tracey and Travis. Once I got settled all was fine and I was favorable impressed with the establishment and Mai, the nail tech who did my mani-pedi. The place is clean and seems well organized once things get into swing. It is close by for me and I will return so I give it a good recommendation. I do have some suggestions for Palm Beach Nail Salon. Open on time. That should go without saying. Even if you do not rely on internet for your business, many people use this as aresource. Make sure your information with online directories is correct. I tried every salon in the West Palm Beach area and I met Tracey in Jupiter 4 years ago. I followed her to Delray Beach when she and Travis opened the shop. She is worth the drive. I am extremely picky and she does an amazing job. She stands by the work of herself and her employees. I read the negative review on this page. If you want an amazing nail salon look no further! The professionalism of the staff is very refreshing as is the clean relaxing environment. Everyone is very nice and does a great job every time. I have been a loyal customer for 2 years now...I won't go anywhere else. They are also very good about getting you in at times that are convenient for you even if it is last minute. They really spend time on making your nails look perfect every time. I highly recommend this salon to anyone that loves to have their nails done.
